So the food products are great and always have been but the customer service has always been hit or miss . But this time an older Buharian cashier lady and seemed to be the only employee in the store on 11/6/24 5:12 pm was extremely rude. While she was speaking to another buharian guy and his wife and kids all was good so I wonder what changed ?? Was is that he had a yamaka and I didn't ? Or because I not speaking her language and she was not sure I was Russian speaking as well. But still zero Excuse me for being rude for No reason I was just asking if there were donuts available today " her response was why would there be donuts on a Wednesday?" And I asked why is that such a bad question to ask ? And how am I supposed to know what days they have donuts or not . I was there with my son that is 12z and the moment we walked out he asked himself why was they lady being so rude for no reason.

We've been coming here for years to fulfill our sweet craving. The store is located in the same neighborhood as my Mother-in-Law's. We usually get chocolate or cinnamon rugelach. They're delicious! I like rugelach at this place. If you visit during Chanukah, you see tons of jelly, and other types of donuts packed in four. Strawberry, raspberry, chocolate, blueberry, and they got them all! Yummy! For the Purim celebration, they prepare different kinds of hamantash cookies. Nice! They offer sugarless cookies too, but the regular cookies are not too sweet, which I like.

I have been coming to queens pita, religiously, for the past 7 yrs for burekas (dairy, potato, spinach), challah and the best donuts for Hanukkah! Not kidding. I cross the bridge for these donuts. They have the freshest and best selection - halva, jelly, custard (personal favorite), Nutella. Parking is never an issue for me. Know what you want and go in with a plan, it could get a little hectic around the holidays.

I was leaving without taking a picture. I came here to show my sister where she could get challah bread after coming from a trip to Israel. She bought more than just a piece of bread. She was also getting desserts for friends . But I just couldn't help staring at a fly or two not wanting to keep away from the bread just like my sis. The lady behind the counter only said one word : "Thank You". I was disappointed to show this place to my sister. I was hoping she would get a better impression, hopefully the bread will be ok. Coming back? Maybe not.

This is one of the best kosher bakeries in NYC. while their breads are first rate, their pastries, cookies and cakes are superb.

There's a calm vibe that makes it easy to linger a bit longer than planned. What I ordered: * Ube Donut - Soft, pillowy, and not overly sweet. The ube flavor was mellow but distinct, with a creamy filling that was just the right amount. It's not your average donut--definitely a step up if you're into unique flavors. * Tiramisu Latte - Surprisingly good. It's rich, with that classic coffee + cocoa combo you'd expect from a tiramisu, but in latte form. Slightly sweet, creamy, and definitely indulgent without being too heavy. . Service was friendly, though a bit slow during the afternoon rush. Still, the quality made up for it. Overall: A charming bakery café with inventive items and solid coffee. Worth a visit if you're nearby--or even a detour if you're a dessert lover. Would I go back? Absolutely.

Staff seemed friendly, but it is mostly self service for you to pick and choose what items you want from the displays, checkout was fast. The pastries I got were good. I really liked the Ube Donut and Iced latte. The donut was FILLED with ube cream, not too sweet, but just the perfect sweetness. The ham and cheese croissant was a little too salty for me and I wish there was more ham but still good. I like the sausage roll pastry has a good amount of flavor. And the chocolate croissant- can't complain.

There's usually a line of some length during peak hours and especially around the holidays. You can tell by the sheer volume of baked goods and cakes available in their window displays that they sell a lot daily. This location is on the main drag of the little downtown section of Forest Hills, the baked goods in the front window display connect to a tall and long glass counter along the left side of the store that extends almost to the back. At the back middle and along the right side of the wall there's seating for about two dozen people at small cafe tables. They carry an assortment of traditional cakes (full and sliced), pies, cookies, pastries, cheesecakes, cupcakes, ice cream and coffee/tea drinks. A wide variety of flavors in each, so you're bound to find something sweet to satisfy most here. They are a classic bakery so from what I can tell, they don't carry items that are gluten, dairy or nut free. I've purchased their apple pie, fruit tart, berry napoleon, red velvet and chocolate fudge cakes from this or other locations in the past and they're all solid choices for desserts to share with a larger group, though I find a lot of their cake options to be on the richer side. My most recent encounter with their cakes came in the form of a slice of their seven layer cake $9.95 which is thin layers of yellow cake alternating with chocolate cream mmm pretty tasty, and their caramel cake $9.95 which had a layer of chocolate cake in the middle, sandwiched by caramel cream and white cake on either side. The latter had a pronounced caramel flavor that was enjoyable though a bit too much cream for me. My preference would be for their chocolate cakes over other cake flavors here. Their apple pie is one of my favorite apple pies anywhere tho!

It's absolutely amazing, and the filling is very generous--it feels like heaven in every bite. Another favorite of mine is the chocolate layer cake: rich, velvety smooth chocolate that isn't overly sweet. The only thing I don't agree with is that they do not clearly tell customers that dining in adds an extra $1 charge to each item. Yes, check your receipt. I'm expected to tip my waitstaff and also pay an extra dollar per item just because I chose to dine in. For example, the cupcake is usually $4.75 to go, but they charged me an extra $1 for dining in. Their cake slices are usually $9.50 to go, but I was charged $10.50. I also tipped 20%, so the added charge felt frustrating, especially since there was no clear notice. When I asked the waitstaff about the $1 charge, she said it was entered that way because I dined in. When I later called about it, the manager simply said, "Next time, just order to go if you don't want to be charged extra." That response was disappointing, especially since there was no visible sign explaining this policy, and their dine-in menu does not show separate pricing. I really think management should fix this to avoid misleading customers. Transparency matters. Don't get me wrong--I would still come back because their cakes are amazing, but from now on, I'll always order everything to go.
