This place really is very cute and I've been going since it first opened. In the beginning I would have given it 5 stars but I've had to modify for a couple reasons. The food is fresh and unique but over the last six months the serving sizes have shrunk while the prices have gone up. This isn't coffee house vibes when you are paying full sit down breakfast prices for not that much food. Definitely not a great value, but still worth checking out. read more

Great coffee. I recommend the De La Olla, especially if you like cinnamon. The staff is super friendly and there is lots of outdoor seating. A great addition to the coffee scene in Leucadia. The food is delicious too. We had the avocado toast with the poached egg. It had micro greens, goat cheese, pine nuts, and a chili sauce that made it one of the best I've ever had. read more

The breakfast croissant is SO GOOD . Like I'm pregnant and literally everything except for this croissant makes me nauseous. So thank God for Queenstage because what else would I eat? Also big fan of everyone who works there. Super nice. read more

I really wanted to like this place however it's pretty pricy and they have a very small menu, only 1 cold brew and it's in a can for close to $6. The avocado toast is very different but not worth the price of $11.50. Can't justify the Lofty Coffee prices when it simply doesn't compare. Not a lot of indoor seating, there are plenty of benches outside in the sun though. read more

Discovered Queenstage Coffee House when visiting Encinitas for a wedding. Saw the pictures of the food on yelp and just had to come. It did not disappoint. Had the most amazing avocado toast with egg and their special coffee. So when I had the opportunity to come back a second time when visiting property in San Diego, and share this with my niece, I couldn't wait! She had the ham and cheese on toast with egg and I had the lox and avocado with egg special. We even ordered pastries to have with our coffee, hers was cold and iced and mine was hot. And then we ordered some toast to go, because we were seeing property all day. She had the laharb and strawberry jam while I had the peanut butter on toast with strawberries. Everything was amazing! I will certainly be back for whatever reason I can to visit this place and eat every breakfast I can hear. read more

asked the person who was working for their recommendation for a iced coffee that would be good with either almond or oat milk (bc im lactose intolerant) and they recommended the De Olla latte! super good, a little sweet bc of the pilloncillo but it's nicely balanced with the cinnamon and the espresso. What happens when a poet goes to a coffee house? If she's lucky, a new poem appears. At queenstage, the food is excellent, the service is great, ambience is nice, and when I overheard Valeria, the barista, say to a customer "so many times in my life", the rest of what she said was lost in the general conversation. But I thought oh yes, that is a poem starter. And it was. I shared the poem with her when the first draft was done and she thought it was kind of cool that she had inspired a poem. I think, in fact that the poem was a cooperative effort resulting from the good atmosphere and personable service. It's a place where a poem can grow. This is one of those places where the staff treats customers as individuals. The good food and nice ambience is just frosting on that cupcake. read more

Not only is the staff here accommodating and courteous, but the high quality of the service and coffee is CONSISTENT. I work up the street and often walk down with my dog. I get a cappuccino (with oat milk because let's face it, I'm a white girl from Encinitas ‍). My cappuccino is always the perfect temperature to drink immediately. It's lovely and foamy on top. And my dog appreciates the cookies they have at the counter too. read more

I personally purchased the house drink Cafe De Olla (in house syrup made) and it was delicious! My husband ordered the Honey Cinnamon Latte and also had great things to say. Love this place! The matcha tea is perfect- hot or cold. My friends loved their coffee. Ask for their unique sweetener De Olla which is made up raw brown sugar and cinnamon. They have fresh pastries and other delicious breakfast stuff like avocado toast, lox toast, yogurt, oats, acai etc. Their menu is split between sweet and savory. They have gluten free bagels too. It's located inside Moto Deli, next to Velotown. Service is great and low key. I drive past the other coffee spots since the parking is much easier here. There's a back parking lot. read more
