This is my husband's and my fave casual date night spot! We love to come sit at the bar and have drinks and quesadillas when we don't want to cook! I have reviewed their food a few times and the quesadillas are always yummy, but this review is about the bar. This is honestly one of the best restaurant bars in town. The bartenders are fun and friendly, and the drinks are so delicious every time! I have tried multiple of their drinks and they are all light and fresh tasting, nothing syrupy. This is probably one of my favorite places in town for a classic margarita. Definitely a bar to check out!!

Really good veggie quesadillas with grilled veggies and black beans. A variety of salsas

Love the food and vibes of this cool franchise. It's such a smart business idea that you root for the owners to go off and do greater things! The food is good and not over priced even for California. The generous portions allow you to grab a few Dillas and sample with friends. Love the salsa options and that you can have 2 salsas with each order. Pop in even if you're not hungry because then you will be and why not support local good food and good folks!

Took a drive through the town and decided to come to a place I was familiar with. Got the Chicky, Chicky, Parm, Parm and Oaxacan Old Fashioned. Drink was good, though the fries were severely lacking.

    Tasty, but a little overpriced

I think three stars suffice, and of course, whether you want it or not, here's an explanation. It's kind of a casual, open air setting that also houses an ice cream shop and a bar. Tvs showing off sports, and a lot of conversations fill the atmosphere with a buzz. Pretty relaxed... Not too loud, as I could hear our whole conversation. The quesadillas were pretty good. I did a build on my own, with bbq chicken, beans, cheese, and salsa. The chicken was good with the bbq sauce, the cheese melted well, and the black beans...were black beans. I describe it this way solely because that quesadilla, along with a soda, seems overpriced at almost $19. While tasty, I think that's a little ridiculous. Good for a quick, reliable lunch, but a little pricey

Located inside The Mix, there's something perfect to eat & drink depending on your mood. Get a Cocktail, grab a Quesadilla and then end the trip with some ice cream & a coffee to go. These Quesadillas were big & tasty, but beware you may need a fork & knife because they are slippery with grease/oil. Service was quick & friendly. Apple Pay accepted in this modern joint. Ambiance is cool, industrial with an exposed ceiling, brick, stained concrete, factory dome lighting & a massive A/C unit to keep you chilled. Only been open for 2 weeks/2 months. I feel a Yelp event coming on here

Absolutely incredible quesadillas, and I love that it's super vegan friendly. We came in around 7:45pm, and they were nice to let us order even though they close at 8. I built my own vegan quesadilla which was insanely delicious. The rest of my family enjoyed their quesadillas as well, and the little one loved the plain cheese option. We had some doubts whether it would be filling enough for dinner but the portions were pretty solid. Highly highly recommend!

Didn't realize it was a walk up only Resturant or sit outside; not an eat in restaurant. Disappointed cuz it was a little chilly out; didn't want to eat outside so had to eat in the car. The quesadilla we ordered was a number 3, where's the beef? There was plenty in the first three pieces of the quesadilla; however the last piece had nothing but fillings ( cheese and veggies). The service was good; staff was friendly . It was a little sketchy; you couldn't see what they were doing inside . Made me second think if I wanted to eat my food; I did because I was hungry and it was tasty; however weird you can't go inside.

Everything that we ate was amazing! Great vegan options and great choices for kids. This place is now located in The Mix. Not being from the area, it was a bit hard to find and there's limited seating. But, the service was excellent and our food was so fresh and came out quickly. The Atomic Veggie with avocado salsa was the absolute best. I wish they had something closer to Los Angeles, because I would eat here weekly.

When I first heard of quesadillas being a restaurant, I was very skeptical that it could be that good. I was wrong. It's excellent. Highly recommended. They elevate quesadillas to a true gourmet level. The atmosphere is casual, and I felt comfortable being in my sweaty gym clothes, and the overhanging trees are very nice shading for the seating. The only downside there are some flies wanting to eat the delicious food you've ordered with you. #1 recommended - "The classic" Pork Verde had a lot of marinated green chili sauce, with nice black bean sauce. 7/5 #2 - "where's the beef?" - fajita style roasted bell peppers with shredded beef. 6/5 #3- Evan boling - chicken and bacon. It's a nice plain quesadilla with chopped vegetables. My husbands favorite, he likes it's simplicity. 5/5 The salsas were all amazing. Because I love spicy things, I really loved the spicy chili Verde salsa and the habanero salsa. Others in my party loved the liquid gold. We also ordered the pico de gallo and avocado salsa. They were all excellent. However, the only negative was that I wouldn't recommend the sweet quesadillas. We ordered the quesadilla of the day which was Nutella and marshmallows, it was very sweet and needed some kind of relief as in maybe some fruit like strawberries or bananas placed inside.

Quesadilla Gorilla Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Quesadilla Gorilla

Are the rice or beans vegetarian?

Yes, our rice, beans, and all other veggie fillings are vegetarian and vegan.

Do you guys have a low carb tortilla option?

We do not have a typical low carb tortilla but we do have a gluten free corn tortilla option! Or you can always get your quesadilla as a bowl with no tortilla.

Many commented on gluten free options but is it actually gluten free...? Corn tortillas cooked on separate surface? Care to avoid cross contamination?

Yes! When ordered, you will be asked if it is an allergy or a preference. If it is an allergy or sensitivity, we will use a seperate cooking surface, gloves, and utensils! All of our fillings are gluten free as well!

I write reviews to amplify a business that's noteworthy or to try to add meaningful insight into what my experience was like at a restaurant if it's worth sharing. That said, I saw my picture from my meal here and remembered enjoying the meal enough to want to share that. I took the advice of many other reviews and got the mac and cheese burger thing, can't remember the name sorry. It came with tomato soup and fries? Or somehow that's what I ordered. Honestly I could do without the mac and cheese or would rather just have it on the side. It doesn't add to the burger at all, but wasn't bad by itself. The tomato soup was good and I liked having it as a dip for the sandwich. The fries were good and I would have liked a bit more of them, but I can't really complain as I was pretty satisfied in the end. The cashier seemed confused about something and I was confused by our interaction, but in the end I paid for and received food. The interior was not particularly welcoming and I waited longer for my food than I expected to given that I was the only person in there at the time. I'd order ahead next time for sure. It wasn't a bad experience. I think if things felt a little more organized I could give another star. Prices seem on the high end as well.

As amateur food photographer/stylist, I look for that "honest plate." Valhalla hits the trifecta with a warm, "hygge" (Danish coziness) atmosphere that makes locals feel like family and travelers feel like they've finally found home. The Aesthetic: Rustic Hygge The vibe is "Elevated Roadside Charm." It's clean, bright, and unpretentious. The wood accents and subtle Danish motifs pay homage to the heritage of the Solvang-style roots without being kitschy. * Stylist's Note: The food here doesn't need tweezers or edible gold. The Soup was just ok. Lacked flavor, potatoes were non existent and it arrived lukewarm "but that's the delivery drivers fault". For $11.49 we expected better. Key Lime Pie: it was "ok" but the whipped cream tasted warm and the pie was borderline warm as well. Must've been put next to the hot soup. Which in my mind "why?" It's cold pie. Should I not have eaten it, yeah. Did I eat it anyway? Well it was an $8 slice of pie! So yes, I'm going to eat it! It was also small for the price as well. How does the key lime come with whip but you pay extra for this one!? The picture shows the whip on it which looks good, but doesn't give you an option to pay for it either. The flavor was just ok. Delivery was atrocious! The guy took forever to get there, then took forever to get to our place. It was overall a bad experience all the way around. Coffee was great, water too. Not that tap water taste. Restaurant was clean with exceptional service as always. Two breakfasts plates with two coffees was $47. A bit pricey, but it is what it is.

Although the food here was good, the atmosphere was chaotic. The floor staffing was not able to service the dining room and the delegation of duties appeared haphazard (two servers working the counter as well as part of the floor). We waited about 10 minutes and had to call over a server because no one had come to take the drink order. That server could have corrected this but instead said that we were not in her area and our waitress had broken a cup and cut herself. She could have been more gracious and taken our drink order. Our server came over a couple of minutes later and apologized, but she seemed overwhelmed. We received our coffee and later our food, but I asked for milk for my coffee on three occasions before any was brought to me. The food was good and was served fairly promptly but no refills on coffee were offered and when we asked for refills there our request was acknowledged but never fulfilled. When we went to the counter to pay our check, our server was unable to make change for a $52.08 bill from $62.08. This could be a good local place based on the food, but the service is such that I cannot recommend it.

To one side they have an area for what seems to be the weekend live band and the other side is just open tables. Clean restaurant and they play good authentic Mexican music like corridos. It was daytime when i showed up n it was kind of lonely. It seems like it would be more of a vibe on like the weekend when they have live music. It was posted that mariachi was on fridays and Sundays. The server was nice and friendly. A bit shy but did well. , I ordered a Mi Chelada n i gotta say I was expecting a better cup. Iv been to other places where they bring out some really nice appealing michis. Although the one they brought out was good it was just very simple in my opinion for 12.50$. I guess I was expecting a shrimp sticking out of it or like a better dressed cup. The Food! I ordered the ceviche tostada n I was very content with my order. It looked fresh, had fresh ingredients seemed very appealing, and had great taste, It needed some salt but I feel better me adding it rather it being over seasoned. I rate it a 5 out of 5. Oh by the way they serve you chips and salsa w a side of smashed beans w out charge like some places. I really liked that. Chips seemed freshly made in the house. I liked that. Makes it feel more authentic, My wife had 2 tacos one GOVERNADOR and another just fish taco. They look very tasty and she they were very good except her fish taco was cold I can't say much there I don't try her food. My wife did complained that the building was a little on the warmer side. But I wasn't that bad. I liked this place and I would like to come another time again for a different dish and on another occasion w the live band. I was a satisfied customer and would like to see opinions from other visitors

My friend got the same but green salsa. I got the red ones. I don't think they used fried tortillas. They were too soft and soggy. Usually they are fried first and then dip in salsa. They were just plain. I do t know if I will be back because this is in Visalia far away from home. They water was purified I was grateful for that. My friend said the same thing about her green chilaquiles. She did mention that the Jamaica drink she got was great. The bathrooms are clean and there have plenty of room to seat inside. They have music and TV.
