if half stars were allowed, this would be a 3.5 but they get the benefit of the doubt here, because I feel they have the right pieces in place to get that .5 back. We were excited to try this place last weekend as we wanted something different and new. The menu online and the photos look great, but unfortunately didnt fully match what we got. The staff was nice, although very slow and seemingly very nervous. Took a long time to order and get our drinks and food. One of the items we asked for was a cup of coffee, and when it arrived to us, it was ice cold. Later the manager came by to apologize as the warmer was OFF and they shouldn't have served that pot, something the front counter guy should have checked or noticed. The food was decent, my family was pretty happy with their orders. Mine on the other hand was a huge let down. "Nachos" with Barbacoa... the meat seemed to be left over scraps, 80% of it was fatty chunks with little to no meat, some good pieces but hard to find. The chips were basic and essentially non edible by the time you got through the first layer due to the cheese sauce used on the second layers.. My wife LOVED her burrito, the enchiladas one daughter got had no complaints and the quesadilla my other daughter got was large and full, and she seemed happy, so I took that as a win, and bit my tongue on my food. There is plenty of room for growth, they have the bones of a good place to come back to, unfortunately, I wont be. I wish them well, they were all very nice and I Know they have been around a while, so I hope they continue to have success. read more

Brand new location for a former mall food court joint. I never made it to their mall location, but always wanted to try their wares. We went during the soft opening, so there are bound to be some imperfections this early on. The staff were very friendly and the food was good and the visible areas were clean. read more

First time at the new location. I remember the one in the Ingram mall. It's been probably a decade since then and I was excited to visit the new site. They did not disappoint! Still the same flavorful quesadillas I recall! I had to take pics of menu because the one on here was hard to see and read. Service was great. Sean working the register was excellent with every customer in front of me and his rapport continued when he took my order. He also offered me the FREE cheese quesadilla because I was wearing a Spurs tee! I had NO idea but was great plus. So on game day be sure to wear Spurs gear and pull up for a delish Cheese quesadilla. On top of that, they offer military discount so I was very pumped about that. You can see from receipt I walked out spending less than $15 what a great steal! Now food was awesome and keep in mind I was picking up. So after driving home 15 mins later, the meal was still nice and warm and the flavor was great! Not only that but I asked Sean for another Roasted salsa and he easily obliged. That salsa was made fresh! It was still warm I was so blown away by the great taste! Kudos to Sean and cook working the grille. They looked like they were the only ones there, but they were holding it down and knocking out customer service, no problem! I'll be back sooner than later!! read more

One word, LEGIT!!! I've been driving past this place for quite a while now, living just down the street. Well usually when I get off work late most places are closed and you gotta settle for whatever is open. I busted a u-ey into the back side of cash America Pawn and swung around to QK, no one was in line. Dude at the window was cool and informative, helped me make my decision before I got up to the window and gave me my option. Good food, nice people, great portions. This was a take over of a building that I couldn't even tell you what it was. The wife had a shrimp and it was perfectly cooked. My carnitas was flavorful, but didn't have crispy bits... I got really good food at a fair value. We will add this to my list of local stops. read more

Man, I used to hit up Quesadilla King back when they were at Ingram Park Mall. I didn't even go to the mall that much, but every time I did, that's where I was eating -- no question. The other day I was on my way to Burger King, caught them out the corner of my eye, and popped a U-turn so fast you'd think they were giving out free gas . Had no idea they moved, but I'm glad I found them again! Took my sister on a little lunch "date" -- she was hesitant at first but ended up loving the food. I got the barbacoa and shrimp burrito, one of my personal go-tos anywhere I go. The shrimp was amazing -- big, juicy, and packed with flavor. The barbacoa was flavorful and greasy in the best way, just how a good Mexican classic should be. She got a chicken burrito bowl and loved every bite. The food is like Chipotle on crack -- way more flavor, way more heat, just hits different. The light-skinned bald dude (pretty sure his name's Sean) was cool as hell, super helpful, and had great energy. Glad to see they're still doing their thing -- 10/10, San Antonio classic. I've had better. The food was moderate with minimal choices for drinks. The price was extremely high and got me off guard. With a a family of 5 total. I spent over $100. With these prices I actually expected something a lot better. The service was good. The sauces were watered down and the chips were wet with grease. I won't be back to this restaurant. I was running errands and wanted something quick and saw Quesadilla King. I had 2 chicken fajita tacos with guacamole. I thought I'd eat them while driving. Nope. They were hot and juicy chalked full of fajita meat i needed both hands. The tortillas were soft, obviously freshly made. I first noticed that the fries were replaced with a lower-quality alternative, followed by a noticeable reduction in portion sizes. Furthermore, recent burger orders have omitted ingredients such as ham, reflecting a pattern of degrading order accuracy. I have also found the beverages to be poorly balanced, often being either excessively sugary or entirely bland. Beyond the food, there's a lack of professional customer service from the owner / manager, and employee alike. The state of the facility's cleanliness is dreadful. During a visit to the interior dining area, I found trash left on the table from the previous day. This level of negligence, combined with an unprofessional attitude from both the ownership and staff, suggests a significant lack of proper business management. read more

Was interested in this place off bandera. I got the burrito w barbacoa and my wife got the tacos. Both were surprisingly delicious!!! Will definitely be back for that burrito within the week. I would recommend this to everyone. The manager was also very courteous and attentive. read more
