Brand new location for a former mall food court joint. I never made it to their mall location, but always wanted to try their wares. We went during the soft opening, so there are bound to be some imperfections this early on. The staff were very friendly and the food was good and the visible areas were clean.

    They got breakfast

First time at the new location. I remember the one in the Ingram mall. It's been probably a decade since then and I was excited to visit the new site. They did not disappoint! Still the same flavorful quesadillas I recall! I had to take pics of menu because the one on here was hard to see and read. Service was great. Sean working the register was excellent with every customer in front of me and his rapport continued when he took my order. He also offered me the FREE cheese quesadilla because I was wearing a Spurs tee! I had NO idea but was great plus. So on game day be sure to wear Spurs gear and pull up for a delish Cheese quesadilla. On top of that, they offer military discount so I was very pumped about that. You can see from receipt I walked out spending less than $15 what a great steal! Now food was awesome and keep in mind I was picking up. So after driving home 15 mins later, the meal was still nice and warm and the flavor was great! Not only that but I asked Sean for another Roasted salsa and he easily obliged. That salsa was made fresh! It was still warm I was so blown away by the great taste! Kudos to Sean and cook working the grille. They looked like they were the only ones there, but they were holding it down and knocking out customer service, no problem! I'll be back sooner than later!!

Food was so good! Ordered take out on the website and everything was so fresh and flavorful. Really good charro beans and Spanish rice as well. The service was very friendly. Can't wait to go back and try more on the menu!

The food was impressively good. I got the street tacos that came with a side of charro beans. The green salsa was amazing!

Carne asada nachos, don't let the size fool you, my husband says it was filling.

They serve Pepsi. Hard to back out of. What is wrong with Texans? Yeah I don't buy from people who don't serve Coke.

This is real, authentic Mexican food done right. The customer service was excellent, and everything came out quickly. I ordered the mini taquitos with al pastor and asada, their torcas plate, and the quesabirria, everything was flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly. I was also really impressed with the portion sizes, they give you a great amount of food for what you pay. I actually ended up packing two to-go boxes to bring back home. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in San Antonio. Looking forward to trying more of their menu!

Great, homey Tex-Mex restaurant atmosphere, service was friendly if not particularly fast. The chicken burrito was good, though nothing to write home about. A tad bland, even with a dose of salsa to kick things up. Still, I'd give it a three or four out of five stars were it not for the state of the cutlery. I got a dirty knife (pictured) even though it was wrapped in a napkin. This was replaced but it did leave an impression. This place scores a 3 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

When the food comes out, I notice the ample portions of rice and beans. The rice has is nicely done and seasoned well as were the beans. Solid start. The enchiladas are soaked in a thicker chile sauce that is very flavorful. They are topped/stuffed with plenty of cheese and the added onions I requested came as ordered. Good job. Overall, i enjoyed Saritas as the staff was friendly and the food on point. I'll be back to try more of the menu.

Sarita's is a fairly large restaurant with a bar. We sat in a booth, and the background Tejano music was loud. I looked up and we were sitting beneath the speaker, but it looked like every couple of booths there were ceiling speakers all over the restaurant. I know they're trying to create an atmosphere, but I really just wanna eat lunch and I don't need background music. I ordered chicken Caldo and my husband ordered an enchilada plate. I like that we got chips and there was no extra charge as the other restaurant that we normally go to charges for chips if it's not dinner time. The waitress was very attentive and came to our table quickly. She took our order and the food didn't take long to come out. the chicken Caldo had generous pieces of chicken, a fairly large wing and a breast along with a couple of large pieces of carrots, celery half a red potato , and a lot of bell pepper. I noticed I didn't receive any rice and the waitress and she told me that rice did not come with the Caldo, but I could order some on the side which I decided not to do. Overall, it was really good although it probably had a total of two green peppers in it so that was a bit much and sort of an unusual veggie to put in the Caldo, but it was still good. My husband enjoyed his enchilada plate. He asked for Barracho beans and got refried beans, but he figured he wouldn't ask the waitress to change them. I used the restroom and the music was really really loud in there. There were a lot of rust marks on the floor and the walls because it looked like the bathroom doors and hardware had been moved. So it gave the appearance of looking sort of dirty . Overall good food, but wish that background music would be turned down.

There were no cars in the driveway or inside beyond those working there. They were polite and kind taking my order. It gave vibes of a place to hang out after school if you were in high school. The fish tacos were mostly breading and it wasn't quality fish underneath it all. I hadn't eaten the whole day and it was so bad that I decided I'd rather be hungry than finish the tacos. The flautas were flavorful, though unevenly so. Some had cream and cheese drizzled on top while others had guacamole and salsa. It was like I had two separate orders of taquitos because the taste between them was drastically different. Again, the meat to breading ratio was off and I didn't finish them. I peeled away much of the fried tortilla portion to get a bit of chicken. I left this meal disappointed. It was what I'd expect to eat at a football concession stand.

I used to live in some apartments around the corner and whenever my sister and brother-in-law would visit, they had to visit this Las Palapas at LEAST once. He likes their Chilaquiles. I've since moved a little further, but it's still the closest Palapas to me. My mom was in town and my cousin wanted to treat us to breakfast so we picked this Las Palapas location to meet up. It was very dark inside the restaurant, and very empty (we were there around 8:30 AM). Despite the emptiness, service was very slow (there was only one waitress on the floor). It took maybe 10-15 minutes for our orders to even go in. The actual service itself was amazing. Our waitress was incredibly kind and helpful. Honestly, once the order was taken it was smooth sailing from then on. I ordered a Chorizo plate and a side of bacon. The plate came with chorizo and egg, refried beans, and potatoes. We were also given a choice of the flour or corn tortillas. I picked flour. With these components I was able to build one of my favorite tacos: chorizo and egg with bean and bacon, and it was delicious. I had a ton of leftovers though. But major props to Palapas for keeping me so full for most of the day that I survived the drive to Kingsville and back without needing to stop for food. I even had the leftovers for dinner (and made another taco!)
