We have a family member who is quite ill and homebound so we had blood drawn via a mobile phlebotomy service. 6 sample tubes were delivered to the Cary Quest location where they were signed for by an employee of the lab. We have paper documentation of the receipt of the six tubes, along with photo documentation of the tubes themselves all labeled correctly. An electronic order was put in by the patient's provider and a copy of the order was provided with the samples when they were dropped off. Somehow, the lab only ran samples off of one tube for two of the tests and never ran the other six test. They also don't have those samples anymore. The lab has no number to contact them so we cannot actually speak to someone at the lab. All we can do is speak to some of the central location who was unable to figure anything out and just told us that the ordering provider had to call. The ordering provider called the Central number and also got no information. So now we have tests they're delayed by over a week and we have to spend more money on more phlebotomy with no guarantee that the test will actually be run and no way to talk to anyone who is running them. We are stuck using this location because the labs have to be done through quest. I would drive all day to another location in another company if I could use someone else. This is just absolutely awful service with detrimental effects to the customer and no responsibility.

I was the only patient at 8:15am (lucky me!) and I was extremely pleased with my visit. Going to Quest, the doctors or the hospital, (although some are for happy reasons) generally give most people anxiety. I know it does for me. Most people walking in such establishments, are in emotional distress, have physical ailments or have just received some pretty awful news. That being said, its always so important that staff and nurses have a positive attitude. You never know what someone is going through. When arriving at this location, I was four minutes early but I also didn't have my insurance information on hand. Once I called my provider and got that taken care of, I was seen by two nurses. Together we called my doctor because they needed an ICP(?) number and after that I had my blood drawn. All throughout this stressful process, Olivia was extremely kind to me through small talk. I can't express how much her warmth gave me comfort. Maybe I'm just overly emotional today but I teared up bad. Getting the job done right is important but equally as important is the manner in which it's done. She was giving me instructions and told me to only fill the cup to a certain amount. I told her that I'd been holding it for 20 minutes and I really needed to go. She looked at me and said nastily, " I don't want this entire cup filled with urine." I asked if there were wipes in the bathroom to do a clean catch specimen. Again, she nastily said "there's tissue in the bathroom." I was able to get my results in my hand before I left which was great. I doubt I will go back there if I need another drug screening done.

No matter how much water I drank, it just wouldn't happen. So, they told me they were going to be closing soon & that I could go across the street to do it at Any Lab Test Now. I drove on over & there were 3 people ahead of me and only one employee, but he was very efficient. I should've gone there at first because the experience was just better. I could "go", but days later I was told by the employer that my urine was too diluted because of all the water I was drinking at Quest, and I had to do it again. I went straight back to the place & was in and out in no time. I highly recommend this location.
