I went to this location recently and they missed to test my Iron Panel , which was one of the main reason of my bloodwork, although I had it the actual printed order I presented to the lady to make sure she has everything in the system! When the result came and the Iron panel was missing, I called the customer service and they didn't even apologize! Just told me if I need the result I should repeat the test! This place is a joke. I was selected for a random FMCSA Drug screen. All the paperwork says walk in. I went yesterday and was told more walk-in, must make appointment and before 1:30. Went online and it showed all kinds of appointments after 1:30. I scheduled appointment and came in early. Really have to go to bathroom bad. They don't care and so rude too. They were rude yesterday too and have attitudes. FMCSA drug tests used to be quick process cause they know we are truck drivers and need to get back to driving. Now they just don't care. read more

You need to avoid going to this quest location at any cost. This is the worst quest location with zero customer service. The lady in the front is very rude and not helpful at all. It is my 74 years old mother's first time visit in this location - had appointment but they did not honor it even though it was system check in glitch they had. I was immediately taken aback when I entered the Quest facility now located in the Taj Mahal building. The stark room was devoid of almost everything except several rows of chairs that seemed to have been sourced from a discount Asian supply house. There was no receptionist; no visible staff whatsoever. And the dozen or so waiting patients seemed oddly impassioned, as tho they had already been benumbed by their experience. I felt as if I had inadvertently walked onto the set of a B-grade sci-fi movie. Eventually I spotted a pedestal-type machine that demanded "check in here". I took my place behind a couple who seemed to be engaged in an epic struggle with the machine-they were cussing and swearing at it. (They apologized to me however, and I told them to take as much time as they needed.) Since I had an appointment; armed with the proper documents, and even a receipt that revealed that payment had already been made, I felt confident I would experience no problems. How wrong I was! The "machine" was unable to read the bar code, and successive attempts proved fruitless. Moreover, it demanded a "code" that was not identified as such on my official paperwork. WTF! I should point out that while I was locked in mortal combat with the "machine" a battle was being waged only a dozen feet from me. An attendant had emerged from behind a heavy, self-locking door to pluck an elderly lady from the crowd. The ladies' daughter insisted on accompanying her frail mother. But this only provoked a sharp rebuke from the attendant. The situation rapidly escalated. The daughter accused the attendant of employing unnecessary invectives, amongst other things. The coarse attendant eventually caved. And the situation defused. All this while I was standing at the pedestal "machine", waging my own silent war. Eventually the "machine" came to life: it informed me I was more than ten minutes late; that my appointment was cancelled; and that I'd have to make another appointment for another day! (Bear in mind I'd taken time off from work, and fasted for this routine test.) I confess I had never used Quest Diagnostics-I've always used Labcorp, which was always congenial and professional. How I came to be routed to Quest is uncertain. But what is certain is Quest Diagnostics reputation: it "set a record in April 2009 when it paid $302 million to the government to settle a Medicare fraud case...." It also "paid $241 million to the state of California to settle a False Claims Act that alleged the company had overcharged Medi-Cal, the state's Medicaid program ..." Other charges link Quest Diagnostics to faulty tests, high rates of errors, and unauthorized use of personal data. (Source: Wikipedia) I'm distressed that Ross Cortese's crown jewel, the Taj Mahal, has been converted into a less-than-stellar (and unfinished) medical building housing at least one disreputable organization. Saw the bad reviews so adding another perspective. I had a great experience here. My appointment was for 8:30am. I arrived at 8:20am and checked myself in with the kiosk. I saw my name on the screen showing who is next, and at 8:45am they called me in. The technician was very nice. She found a vain and it didn't really hurt at all. All good. IS THIS PLACE A JOKE? $1,138 for a standard blood test (to insurance) ... PLUS.... $220!!!! out-of-pocket paid on the spot! Its a true rip-off to the healthcare system, and to its patients. I asked for my paperwork back, and left without getting the test because I don't feel comfortable being ripped off. I have notoriously difficult arm veins and have even had nurses resort to drawing blood from my hands before, but Melad found my vein on the first try. I was in and out with an early morning appointment in 20 min. Definitely would go here again. read more

Absolute horrific experience today taking my child here for blood work. The complete unnecessary rudeness of the of the lady at station 5 at 1:35pm on todays date 3/13/23 and her name started with an E, has no business dealing with the public, especially in a position to draw blood from a child. Extreme incompetence coupled with this horrible, condescending, belittling attitude towards me and my daughter AND THEY FAILED TO EVEN GET A BLOOD DRAW after poking and twisting their needles around my poor baby's arms and hands and told me to come back and try again without suggesting anything to be different next time I visit. Completely disgusted by this individual and I hope she finds a new career to pursue for the sake of all of her future patients. If the manager reads this PLEASE respond. The staff at Quest diagnostics ( 23521 Paseo De Valencia, Laguna Hills, CA) went above and beyond today!! I had made an appointment for my 94 yo mother-in-law to get fasting blood work done and we were 15 minutes late for the appointment. The computer knocked us out of line and said we had to reschedule the appointment but seeing that she was there and had already fasted for 10 hours, I thought it best to talk to someone. They were extremely busy but a wonderful phlebotomist brought us right back and took her blood! She was so kind- I wish I had her name to give her a shout out and let her bosses know how much her kindness meant to us! An excellent staff who go above and beyond!! Thank you!! read more

I brought my father in for an appointment he needed to get his blood drawn, we waited in a very busy waiting room for about 10-15 mins after his appointment time. The phlebotomist called him in and I did notice she already had her gloves on, I wasn't sure if those same gloves were used with the previous patient, she had him sit in the chair, did find it strange that she didn't sanitize the arm rest where they draw blood, she continues to ask him his information and typing it into the computer, she then stood up and was gonna start to draw his blood when I immediately asked her if she was gonna change her gloves. She was shocked that I asked and she just asked me if I wanted her to change her glove, I said yes please change your gloves you were touching everything with those gloves (the door, the key board the mouse) and she did change her gloves but she then stated that either way they have to clean the area with alcohol wipes. I hope people pay more attention to the phlebotomist to make sure they aren't using dirty gloves when getting blood drawn I'm so disgusted by this person. read more

My doctor ordered bloodwork and I needed to fast for it so instead of going on a weekday, I opted for going on a Saturday. This location is one of the few in the area that is open on Saturdays. They have appointments from 7 am to 9 am and take walk-ins from 9 am to 12 pm. I didn't have an appointment so I showed up a little after 8:30 am to see if I could "wait" as a walk-in. Turns out, I didn't need to wait long. They took me about 10 minutes after I arrived. I walked into the waiting area and checked-in on the tablet screen. You just have to answer a few questions before you can sit down. There is an estimated wait time on a mounted flat-screen so you can keep track of where you are in the virtual queue. When it's your turn, the receptionist will call you to the desk and ask for your paperwork and insurance card. Then you are led back to an area for the bloodwork. If you need to give a urine sample, there is a restroom for your use. The whole process was pleasant and easy. I was so glad I didn't have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment. Although Saturday appointments book up fairly quickly; when I looked, it was more like 6 weeks out. Do yourself a favor, go early on a Saturday. The parking lot is $2 per hour and Quest does not validate parking. If you can walk the short distance, there is complementary street parking but it can fill up as the day goes on. read more

I loved everything about my experience. Easy to book online. Provided all details I required: instructions, map, text reminders, etc. All good. When I arrived, I realized that my Doctor had not ordered the labs for me but that I needed a written script - forgot it at home! Hubby drove me back and forth, and when I returned, I did not have to wait. They took me in right away and I was done in a flash. The location was clean, COVID safe. The staff was polite and professional. I was impressed with everything. *** Oh yes, and I can see my results on the client portal, and even compare with previous results. I just left this place I was sent to do a drug screen for a job that wanted to hire me. The woman that waited on my was pretty and tall I didnt catch her name but I can tell you this she was the worst person who should be heping someone. She was rude and inpatient she was intrusive, mean, russed me through and treated me like I was guilty of something. I felt like she thought she was a police officer and tried patting me down. She wanted me to tale my jacket off which was really hooked to me top underneath. The sample I gave her was not enough and she made me pour it out it the sink. She wanted me to sit there so they can watch me for 3 hours untill I had to go again. She was the most hateful person I have met in years! I walked out and probably lost the job I was going to get because of her attitude. I will never go back to this place ever again. Worst quest location. Staff doesn't honor the hours. Have showed up two times an hour before closing and they have been closed both times.

No wonder this place is rated so poorly. I went in for a glucose test for pregnancy which I know they do all the time. I walked in and checked in on their tablet at the front and said hello to Kimberly who was working the desk and was ignored but maybe she didn't hear me. She then asked for my "information" so I asked her what she meant. Did she need my insurance information? My driver license? My lab orders? She looked at me like it was a stupid question so I handed her my lab orders assuming that's what she needed. I didn't have my insurance card (I mistakenly left it at home after using it for a previous phone call) but had my son's with all the same information on it. She was super annoyed with me by then and it was very clear. I did not realize that since I was going to be substituting the glucose drink with an alternative approved by my midwife that I had to do it there in front of her and so that they could time me. I drank it on my way there so I wouldn't have to stay there as long and didn't realize that you couldn't do that which is fine. She was so rude and condescending to me and even raised her voice at me. I told her I didn't understand why she was using the tone she was using with me as there was only one person in the waiting room. It wasn't like the place was slammed. I told her understood the protocol and told her that I was not aware and was just going to leave and she talked to me like I was such an idiot I could not believe it. You would have thought that I ruined her day. Horrible. This location is super close to me and not busy so I would prefer to go here but I will drive the extra time to go to Irvine where I had a much more pleasant experience. The only reason I took the abuse and didn't give her a piece of my mind is because I'm pregnant and didn't want to put any more stress on my body after her episode. She shouldn't be working the front and shouldn't be the first impression that patients should have to deal with. read more

I was a bit worried when reading these reviews about this location, but my expectations were met. I made an appointment and the check in process was simple and quick -- I was called back within 5mins. The front desk lady was very kind but a few patients were being rude for no good reason (Receptionist handled it professionally, I almost stood up FOR her because this woman was being so awful). I went in for 1hr glucose testing and my technician was nice and efficient, she explained everything well and updated my profile. They had a waiting room for me to sit in during the 1hr period and my tech had another patient when the time was almost up so promptly found someone to draw my blood at the correct time. I've always gone to Quest for bloodwork, medical test, etc. Today I was received by and obviously irritated Lab tech. I was asked if I had an appointment, and I said ,"no, but my doctor sent in some request forms". She proceeded to tell me ,"you need an appointment, and next time you should wear a mask". It was short, but she did not follow up on how, or where, to set up an appointment. And other Quests, usually offer a mask. I had taken time off work to be there. I was in here today with my mom and the lady in room #7 helped us and was very kind. She was also the only one helping out patients checking into the iPad. Every single time a patient had information she would be the only one helping them. When patients asked other staff to help they would just say sign in. She took the time to come out and actually guide them through the process. If I didn't come with my mom she would have had a hard time checking into the iPad because she is older and technology isn't her best. read more

I was fortunate this morning to have Katie P as my phlebotomist. She is professional, kind and drew my blood painlessly. Beyond the care she provided me I observed her working with an irate person who created drama in the waiting room. She listened to her complaints and provided her with a solution. The building is due for a demo / rebuild. It did not feel clean in the waiting area. Not impressed with the friendliness of the staff. Check-in is all automated to save a buck. Good luck finding staff help if you need help signing in. Appointment was for 9:20am. If you sign in a minute late at Quest, you get to go home and reschedule. I've been coming to this location for years and it's unfortunate. As to what has become of this place. Turning away people that do not have appointments when it was never mandatory. Also requiring people to stand in the hallway because of Covid BS. If we are all wearing masked and separated there shouldn't be a problem right? A majority of the employees are extremely RUDE and think by simply apologizing to people its going to make up for them being so unprofessional. Moreover the fact that they deal with mostly elders you would think they would show some empathy for some of these individuals.
