They don't enforce proper mask wearing among their employees, simply draping a mask loosely over the tip of the nose and not making it snug to the face protects no one. The rooms are very small here so you are forced to interact in tight spaces with the employees. I politely asked Nichole to adjust her ill-fitted mask and she refused. She did get me another phlebotomist to draw my blood but then continued to walk in and out of the room I was in as she was "helping." Very poor medical policy here, given they interact with patients all day and refuse to wear a simple mask properly. Not worth the risk to your health to go here. read more

Can't really say much about Quest it's a pretty standard facility. Location is always clean and convenient when you need your bloodwork. Seating is limited due to the never ending Covid. But aside from that always easy to get your bloodwork done here. Appointments are recommended but not necessary. Depending on the day walk-ins will wait about 15-25 minutes give or take. That has been my personal experience with Quest over the years. read more

I tried this location as the one in Monarch Bay was not good. Same exact situation happened at this location. I dropped off my hard copy of my orders and got their fax number so that my other doctor could fax them directly. They confirmed that the fax was received. I went in today to do my fasting draw and no record of anything. So they lost the one I took to them and don't have the fax either. This happened at the other location and my doctor had to fax 3 times to them. I won't use them again. read more

Rockstars! Got there 10mins before my appointment, they were ready for us. I was there to get my 3 year olds blood drawn, which I knew would not be easy. They put us in a room ASAP. The girl that drew the blood was good with kids. I was expecting kicking and screaming and tears and mayhem. Not a single peep! I credit part of it to my kid being a friggin gangster, but the rest of it was due to how calm and reassuring their staff was. In and out the door in less than 5 minutes! My daughter went in there yesterday morning, and the person that tried to draw her blood, just could not do it.......She poked, and poked both arms for a long time and could not draw it. She blew both veins out. Leaving my daughter traumatized. I really don't think this person knew what she was doing, or her needle or equipment were not functioning, and she should have figured that out, instead of thinking there was something wrong with my daughter. You just need a little common sense. Unfortunately, I don't know her name, but she's in room 1 and works on Fridays. The only way I can describe her, she is hispanic. On Monday, my doctor gave me a referral ( via teleconference) to Quest Diagnostics to take a COVID-19 antibody test . i had some symptoms that may have been related to COVID-19 during Mar into April, so we decided i should have a antibody test done. I ended up choosing the Laguna Niguel Quest office (Town Center location), a couple miles from my house. Expected a long wait, but there were only 2 ladies ahead of me. Went close to 3 pm, they close at 4:30. I think i probably spent about 5 min. waiting, before being called in for a blood draw. My nurse managed to do the draw at the first try, not easy with these old veins that have a tendency to shift around. i spent no more than 15 min. total time to have this done! i was told it would be up to 48 hrs. to get the results back. In 24 hrs., i was notified by my doctor of my results. i have SCAN, so it was covered-no out of pocket. i was very surprised how easy this all was! All the staff that i came in contact with were very friendly and kind. i would go back there in a heartbeat! Thank you Quest! read more

Horrible staff 0 Stars!! The two young girls that work their are horrible and very rude. I noticed that from the other reviews they are also complaints on them. I was here last week and the girl behind the desk tried to draw my blood she stabbed me with the needle so hard I screamed and she did not even get a vain. She asked the other girl to try to do it and she was even worst. I felt uncomfortable so I wanted to go else where. I asked to get my paperwork back she picked it from the floor because she threw it. DO NOT GO THERE! It's the Twighlight zone--no management, No professionalism! The two workers, one Hispanic girl roughly 30 years old and one African American guy 20 something--they spent 15 minutes after I checked in to talk about how much they hate it there--hate their job, etc....speaking so loudly you can hear every word from the waiting room. She went so far as to say she posted something on FB about it! He was the worst worker I've ever witnessed at any job in my life-no kidding! He was rude borderline mean to every patient coming in and when he thought no one was listening he'd make fun of them to the hispanic girl. I HAD to get my blood drawn today and I had already been to Dana Point with an hour wait there-so I had to stay- When I was getting my blood drawn it was SO painful, SHE was SOOO rude, short, mean, and rough!!! And they were still being unprofessional while I was having blood come out of my body. I felt like I was in a 3rd world country with no rules or no one there to hold them accountable and I was so vulnerable having my arm in a noose. I've had my blood drawn 100's of times in 52 years and this was by far THE MOST PAINFUL AND ROUGH. Do yourself a favor , go to another place. read more

Good luck getting your lab results on time. This facility utterly failed to get a PSA test result to my oncologist, even though it had 5 days in which to,do so. It is impossible to contact this place as the voice mail,system is designed to get rid of you as a patient. But no doubt they bill the hell out your insurance company as fast as possible. The receptionist was most warm and friendly: the person who took care of accounting/payments worked quickly to find out if insurance would pay for my test. I have been to this particular Quest lab several times in the past, and they have always been professional and efficient. (Hence the two stars instead of one) The check-in process for walk-in patients has always been handled smoothly, and the technicians are quite proficient. For some reason, Quest has decided to recently move to an appointment-only system, and walk-ins must make an appointment on-site and then come back later (usually several hours later) and check in electronically on their phone within 10 minutes of arrival. I needed some urgent bloodwork done, and the evening before my visit, I checked Quest's website to confirm their hours of operation and to try and make an appointment. As my bloodwork required fasting, I tried to make an early-morning next-day appointment, but understandably, there was not one available for a few weeks, so I decided to walk in and wait. Nowhere on their website did it say an appointment was required, and walk-ins would be turned away until a later time. I arrived at 6:30 a.m. and waited outside until they opened at 7 a.m. It was only when I started electronically signing in that the device informed me that they do not accept walk-ins and that the earliest return "appointment time" was 11 a.m.; it was not feasible for me to leave work and return four hours later. Three other individuals behind me in line experienced the same confusion and were unable to complete their blood draws for the same reasons as mine. The employee who seemed in charge of the center was slightly combative and impatient when asked about the new procedures and if they would accept walk-ins since no one else was waiting at the time. Ironically, and somewhat humorously, the time she spent arguing with the walk-ins about the fact that they were "swamped" and "understaffed" would have most likely covered at least one walk-in blood draw :-). I headed to Quest Labs in Monarch Beach, which has not yet moved to the appointment-only system. I was greeted with kindness, patience with my almost-indecipherable bloodwork write-up, and general enthusiasm to help. I completely understand that these are trying times for everyone; however, the general attitude of the staff between the two blood draw centers was night and day, and that truly makes all the difference in the world. Due to my undesirable and confusing experience, I will no longer be visiting Quest Labs in Laguna Niguel Town Center, and I will no longer recommend their services to friends and family. Additionally, I will no longer be using Quest Labs for any blood draws in the future, as their appointment-only system will not work with my typical last-minute early morning blood draw needs. I have a feeling I won't be the only one. read more

Been taking my 92 year old mom to this location for years. The location is closest to the house. Never a long wait and always been efficient. Recently mom has been difficult to draw blood due to her health situation. Also needs to come weekly. I want to say thank you very much for the extra attention patience and kindness you showed her. Had a great experience at this Quest location! The office was super clean, and best of all we didn't have to wait. The two of us made appointments online--one for 8:15 and one for 8:30. We both had blood drawn and gave urine samples, and we were out of there by 8:35! The paperwork was easy and painless, the phlebotomist Kelsey was GREAT, and the bathroom was literally two steps away (for the urine sample) in the same office. I've always had a debilitating fear of getting blood drawn but Kelsey was superb! Did not even sting when the needle went in, she even made conversation to keep my thoughts off the needle going in. I was here a few weeks ago in the afternoon and it was a little bit busy, but Chelsea and Kaitlyn (I am a regular) we're working really fast through everyone. I heard a girl scream in the back and one of the employees came out and told her coworker a patient had hit her with something in the back, but maintained positive and even drew my blood even though obviously Shaken up. These young girls are amazing, so whoever says otherwise has their own personal issues. I will continue to go to this lab to be serviced by them. Best employees I have ever been encountered with. Ignore any of the old comments, these girls are fairly new to this site and are not the same from previous reviews last year. Keep up the good work. read more

Very fast, efficient place. I have been here twice and never had to wait. They do have a policy to take down debit or credit card info incase insurance doesn't cover. I have provided them with my credit card info both times but never got charged. Insurance paid most of it and then for the remaining I still got a bill. This is the best Quest location I've been too. I had to have my blood drawn twice in the last two weeks and made the mistake of going to the Monarch Beach one for the second time simply because it was closer. After over an hour of frustration there, simply left to Town Center and they had me in and out within 20 minutes as a walk in (and there were about 4 people ahead of me). Julie was fantastic and really understanding. She made nice small talk about Mother's Day and school instead of talking about drawing the blood as the Monarch Beach tech had done (I have a minor fear of needles so the distraction was much appreciated). No pain, little wait, and excellent customer service. Love this place and will definitely go back for any future blood work. read more

I do not have to get lab work done often, but when I do I tend to dread it. So I looked up the nearest location to my house and tried to get there as early as possible.... clearly so did everyone else. It was a Friday morning and already at 8:20 a full waiting room. There was a woman at the front yelling at the lab tech behind the counter. I thought this was going to kill at least half a day.... but to my surprise the gentleman behind the counter completely defused the situation with the hangry customer within 30 seconds and then he immediately processed me and three other peoples paperwork within minutes and called 2 people back. I found a seat and amazingly within 15 minutes was called back to complete my blood work. I discovered that the gentleman behind the counters name was Clarence and he is AWESOME! He was kind, courteous, funny and extremely efficient. He ran that lab like a fine tuned machine. So.... if you are in need of a lab with a spectacular technician, this Quest is where you should go! read more

The location is clean but here is the big problem that I have with Quest. I've been trying to phone them all day long, but there is no option to speak with a live person. It's all automated and when you press 0 it either hangs up on you or tells you that it is an invalid option. This is very impersonal and quite annoying. read more
