Absolutely awful. Made an appointment for a specimen drop-off. Went in only to be told that location doesn't do there specific testing needed. The worker made an appointment for a location that does. Waited a week, went to the new appointment at 1pm, only to be told this type of testing is not done after 11am. Made ANOTHER appointment for 10am a week later. I called customer service with questions about the test. Waited and went in, THEN only to be told the sample must be collected differently then what I was told by customer service and now need to make another appointment for next week. The communication is non existent, they don't care about the clients. I will never be making an appointment for Quest again. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

Take this review as a warning if you want to do a walk-in. It's anti-walk-in. They're great & efficient if you got an appointment that you have scheduled days before. Bad if you need to do a time sensitive blood test while fasting. I scheduled an appointment for a hormone panel for a Sunday based on my cycle, however as most women with irregular period's know...it's unreliable... the first day of my bad symptoms started on Thursday instead! So I come in to do the hormone panel at 6:56am and checked in as a stand by. Mind you I'm trying to stay upright because I'm so weak but I'll tough it out. They offer to do an appointment at 10:30 am. I hesitate to take it because I don't know if I can wait that long without food with the weakness I'm feeling. The place at that hour is practically empty. In the past walk-ins took an hour or two if it were busy...so I assessed that the risk wouldn't be as bad and take my chances. Nope. Im third in line to do a walk in and after two hours I realize the standby list hasn't changed. I asked since I'm checked in (and my name is up on the screen) will I get a text alerting me of getting called? Nope. I have to wait in the room to be called. So yes that should tell you what you need to know about Quest's goals with walk-in's. They are not pushing appointments as a convenience for the client but as their main business practice. Not sending a text keeps people on edge waiting in a room with a constant flow of people rather than attempt to minimize contact with others. Where they are accommodating for everyone with an appointment....they withhold their accommodations for walk-ins patients to discourage walk-ins. Okay, you want to promote that as a business practice? That makes sense if we're all equal and able to plan days or hours ahead. I do feel it's discriminatory towards those who have health issues and have time sensitive blood work to do. I did try to plan ahead but unfortunately I was not blessed with a healthy body and cycle and my plans have fallen through. So now I'm stuck waiting here exposing myself to over a hundred people because walk-ins are the devil and don't deserve the same courtesy? Again, I don't control when my hormones decide to make me sick. I have missed being able to take this test for three months because of not getting an appointment on time. I knew I would be waiting a while for the walk-in but I would prefer to wait in my car, rather than in the waiting room. So my warning to everyone if you want to diminish exposure to others, just take the appointment that's offered even if it's many hours later. Otherwise you're trapped waiting in the waiting room being exposed to many others for hours. This is bad for me because my mother is immunocompromised and now I'll have to avoid her for a couple of days to prevent passing on something to her. I had been here about 4 months ago for bloodwork and again now for full blood work, during the CoronaVirus. Back 4 months ago, even though there was plenty of people waiting, I came as a walkup. The service was efficient and the wait about 10 minutes. I thought it was great. Today, during the CoronaVirus, I went there and there is a fully protected nurse to take my temperature. Once good, I went in, checked in on their iPad, and was in and out in no time. 1 minute wait. Efficient, fast and super organized. These people are great. Quick check in process, it maybe took 5-7 minutes and I was already being taken to the back to begin drawing blood. My primary care physician ordered some lab work for me during my last visit and without hesitation, I booked an appointment online via the Quest website for the next available time at this location since it's the closest to home. Luckily, all of my panels were non-fasting, therefore I didn't mind coming in for a 7 pm appointment. I was really taken by surprise when I walked through the doors to find that this location had undergone renovation. All I can say is wow! The lobby is clean and inviting. There's even a corner where small children can play. A renovation is just what Quest Diagnostics Burnham needed! My phlebotomist Ruben was very nice and professional. He made small talk while he drew my blood, which helped distract me. Thank you, Ruben! Every experience I've had at this Quest Diagnostics location has always been quick and painless. All staff members I've encountered are friendly and they work efficiently. I've said it before and I'll say it again... Shoot, I'll even say it louder for the people in the back! Do yourself a favor and make an appointment online! The appointment scheduling system is really simple and you will also be sent a reminder email the day before. Officially my first ONE STAR review. I've been to a couple Quest locations and this is one I will NOT be returning to. There are a couple of problems with this location (other than long wait times), however, my main complaint is the following incident: After walking in, we were told to sign in on the tablet. While signing in, we noticed one of the phlebotomist walk to the front desk with gloves. Having worked in numerous labs myself, it immediately caught my attention. She then proceeded to answer a phone call with not just her gloves worn but with also a recently drawn tube of BLOOD in the same hand. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The same phone that's used by the front receptionist/desk employees. Cross contamination much... OSHA compliance issues? Perhaps the employee was improperly trained...I hope management addresses this issue and reminds its employees of proper safety protocols! read more

Dystopian Nightmare! Quest used to be great, until they updated their technology and took out the receptionist, and no phone number for the Dr. to contact the office. Its a complete trainwreck in the lobby most times I go, and I go once a week lately. Their overeliance on technology which does not address human and nuanced situations regarding timely and efficient bodily fluid/sample collection is disastrous and dangerous! It is unfair for the phelbotomists to be filling multiple job duties too. I did not have my labs taken at this specific Quest Lab. They were taken in Tonopah NV and sent to Quest. I had basic physical testing which a few months before cost me a little over a hundred dollars without insurance. I received a bill months after this blood draw from Quest for nearly $1000.00!!! How cruel to do that to someone without insurance. I had previously self ordered the thyroid tests directly from Quest myself and they averaged about $50 a test. When my doctor ordered them they were $275, $175 and $150 it is really unjust to do this to a person. read more

Getting a needle thrust into your arm and having life juice stolen from you is never fun. But this experience started before I eve made it to the parking lot. This Quest location on Burnham had me confused. There is a sign at one drive way that reads "Employee Entrance" and a sign at the other drive way that says "Employee Parking." So where the hell are the patients supposed to go? I just went in and parked where I saw patients coming out. The next frustration was with check-in. They don't have a check-in window anymore. You are forced to use a kiosk. I was trying to scan the QR code they sent me but the little laser would not line up with the code on my phone and never scanned. I had to change it up and scan my driver's license and insurance card. It was frustrating but I finally got checked in. Then the wait began. I got there at about 6:20 for a 6:40 appointment. I finally got called back about arpund 6:50. A 30 minute wait isn't bad I guess. But it is when you are already irritated. In the back, things went more smoothly. The phlebotomist confirmed my identity and got set up within a few minutes. She was easy on the needle. I hardly felt anything. She barely even left a bruise. Not bad. I was on my way out shortly after. At least that part of this venture went well. read more

This place is an absolute mess. As I sat in the chair to have my blood drawn, at 5 am, this morning, I was so very lucky to be able to interact with the aggressive, exceedingly rude, and (shocker!) unprofessional supervisor, Jennifer. She was not only rude and would not be bothered by me explaining minimal information about my insurance, but she then proceeded to have an expletive laden rant with another employee somewhere, presumably, close by (although she was yelling her words at times, so she may not have been that close by). She exclaimed f***, f******, and f***** at least 20 different times with quite the confident volume for, apparently, being a supervisor in a Quest lab-Yikes. The best part is that there actually was a young child in the waiting room this morning, although I am not sure why this is acceptable regardless of the "audience" inconvenienced by having to be in a lab for bloodwork or some other testing at 5 am in the morning. This place is a complete and total joke, and if a supervisor cares this little about her job (way to go, DEI!), I can only imagine what else she cares so little about in a place where patients come to routinely have needles stuck in their arms. Ive been here 7 times for regular blood draws, 6 of the 7 was fine... in and out. But my most recent was unacceptable. A simple blood draw turned into a hemorraging inside my arm, and it turned yellow, green and brown. I knew the moment the needle went in it felt different. Then when he told me to hold the cotton swab and put pressure on it, I knew he had inserted the needle incorrectly and it was bleeding bad. 1/7 bad visit Im not going to give zero, but it not acceptable for a simple blood draw. My doctor sent me for routine blood work that required fasting. I wanted to get the the blood work done so I can go over the results with my doctor. I went online to book an appointment near me. Well, every place near me was completely booked for several weeks. This place showed as being available... at 4am!!! I normally wake up around 4:30am on weekdays so I figure I may make an appointment and not be miserable since I'm fasting. The parking lot is okay but I did pull into the employee parking lot on accident. Oops! When I walked in, it was fairly empty. It seemed like a few people were there without appointments. Since it was so early in the morning, the wait really wasn't long at all. There are so many check in tablets along the wall. Sign in and wait for them to call your name. There is a screen that shows how long of a wait you will have with your name and displays whether you have an appointment or are a walk in. I was called in almost immediately. Blood was drawn. Urine test, well, I didn't drink enough water and freaked out but it was plenty enough as the tech made sure before I left. The entire place was really clean and spacious. Overall it was a really good experience and I will come back here probably without an appointment (at 4am) for all my future blood work! It definitely didn't look like your regular doctors office. I made an appointment but got there thirty minutes early just because that's how my schedule worked out. They took me in before my appointment which was awesome and what I was secretly hoping they would do. I had to do my health and wellness screen and wasn't able to make an appointment at this location for I needed it done by the 28th. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment through their online system which is easy to make. Once I got there, I signed in on their ipad, the lady at the front desk later took my info. It was 6.30pm and there were many people. I liked their screen, it shows how long is your wait time. I waited an hour and half! It was almost an hour and 30 mins and it showed 6 mins wait time and they called my name thankfully. Had printed instructions from my dr office with quest's letterhead on it saying I don't need an appointment to drop off a specimen (never needed one in the past either). Then get there only to be told I need an appointment, appointments are full and need to do standby. All the while having a specimen in my hand that my dr said was time sensitive (30 minutes). When I told an employee that it was time sensitive, they replied, "it doesn't matter, make an appointment." There's also no people that work the front, just a bunch of tablets. So if you have a question, you have to try to grab a person as they're calling someone in. It's just ridiculous. read more

After waiting 45 minutes and being turned down at another Quest location for not having the special specimen tubes needed for a special blood test I was already annoyed. I drove to this location which was easy to find. The parking lot is ample. Main entrance has a large waiting area. Front desk personnel were very polite also. I was called in after 20 minutes which I considered decent because there was a lot of other people waiting. So why do I rate this Quest location with only 2 stars after all the positives? Well because employees spend their whole day drawing blood from people you would think they were good at it and efficient? Some people are easy to draw blood from but on occasion you will get your "hard stickers" and you expect these guys to have enough experience for those cases since they do this all day right? Truth is, in my experience, I got the worst employee of the month! I handed her my order and she said my blood test where rare so she struggled in the computer trying to figure out how to order the test. The supervisor had to come in and help with my order. Then she took my arm and felt my veins, she stuck me once on the left arm and spent a whole minute fishing my vein with the needle. She had to pull out once she didn't find the vein and moved on to my right arm. She stuck my right arm and continued to fish around until she almost made me pass out from a vasovagal attack! So because I was getting a leukemia/lymphoma test she preceded to tell me there was something wrong with my blood. Really? Poor excuse to justify you suck and very unprofessional!!! I had to seat around and wait another 20 minutes until their best blood drawer was available. Since I was feeling nauseous the horrid employee decided to uncover the garbage can in case I needed to vomit and she put the garbage lid over all the sterile tubes!!! Needless to say the next technician that came to my aid was pretty angry about the garbage lid. It took the second technician less then 10 minutes to withdraw my blood and she only poked me once and it was painless. Her name I think is Zee? You can tell the older receptionist really hates her life to be quite honest. Now I used to work for a drug testing facility, so I know the gist of how things are supposed to go. Now I work in the cannabis industry so I came after work wearing my uniform and from the get go she did not make me feel welcome. All she kept telling me was to take a seat and wait every time I tried to address my concerns to her. She wouldn't give me clear answers and the check in process was me writing my name on a piece of paper and a barcode. Didn't even ask for my ID which I found odd. I kept asking what the wait time was since on the site it said 22 minute average wait. We waited almost an hour and a half. I felt like my bladder was about to explode waiting for them to call me back. The phlebotomist was so nice and professional. And she makes sure to show you that your sample was labeled as yours and yours only. The stars are for her & her only. read more

I am now a thirty-year resident of the Las Vegas valley, coming from over twenty years in the military (Navy/nuclear submarines). I am a regular patient at both Quest Diagnostics and Southwest Medical. I am also a 13-1/2 gallon blood donor at (old name) United Blood Services. I have no complaints about 'any' of these folks. They are organized to 'triage' so that the people who need help most move to the head of the line. That is fine by me. One of those times that person was me. It's the only place I feel like I've been treated kindly and the staff has always listened to my (irrational) fears and made me calm. Today I had to get some labs done and the phlebotomists, Solita and Angeles were the best! Made me calm and comfortable. They always let me lay down in the kid room on a fire engine shaped bed. The staff is not friendly. I took both my daughters on a Sunday bc it was more convenient but not our usual quest location rainbow and Robindale is way better but no weekend appts. My oldest daughter didn't have a copay but my youngest daughter did and same exact insurance. one lab tech was just quiet and the other was rude and seemed like she didn't know what she was doing.
