I honestly was hesitant to schedule an appoitment after reading all reviews but it was the only location that had the time that I was looking for. I schedule the appointment online I arrive 5 minutes before. I sign in with my email confirmation QRCode , and I was call within 5 minutes. The representative ask me a few questions, discuss the cost, and took out the blood. No pain at all. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. I was afraid to get my blood work done here given the horrible reviews. I was actually dreading it, however, I'm happy to say that my experience was satisfactory. When you arrive there's no receptionist so if you have questions nobody will answer them for you until your turn. I arrived before 7:30 without an appointment and there were only 3 people before me - my waiting time was of 13 minutes. Gerardo was the person that took my blood and he was absolutely fantastic. Blood tests make me very nervous and today I had to get 13 tubes of blood for my exams, but Gerardo was very caring and made the process very smooth and easy. It didn't feel as if I got that many tests. I would gladly come back to get my blood work done by Gerardo. My only complain is that they don't have crackers or juice for the patients that are fasting for their exams. read more

I had been to this location once before and it was fine. I was really shocked by my visit today. Carrie, the person at the front desk was very unprofessional and rude. I asked a simple question about my co-pay and she had the biggest attitude and was short with me. There was no need to act this way. I won't be referring anyone to Quest after this. The listing says closed....but it is not because I just went there yesterday for lab testing (3/4/10). This place was run fairly smoothly. If you come here for a test, I recommend getting the first appointment of the day. I'm glad I had the first one because the waiting room filled up quick. Even though I was first I still had to wait about 20 minutes to go back for my test. The actual procedure went smoothly and I went on my merry way. I don't think I would come back for more lab tests if I had the option to go elsewhere. You can park in a lot behind the building for $3 or street parking at the pay to park stations. read more

The employees are efficient and to the point, no small chat, just "Room 2, I'll be right there", "Sign. Initial." Poke. You're done. I think for someone who isn't comfortable with needles, that might be a put off. Also, they're not exactly the most organized. The room I was in had 3 drug tests (read: urine) and a boatload of papers shuffled everywhere on the work surface next to the chair I was sitting in. The phlebotomist, however, did a spectacular job and I didn't even feel the needle go it. The location is ok, I've never had issues finding street parking and there are plenty of places around there to grab a coffee and snack afterwards. Sadly this company is so big no review will change anything about their heinous customer service. The staff seems annoyed and bothered by everyone who approaches the window. I just witnessed a very polite older woman approach the window and the admin assistant at the window just continued to text on her personal cell phone while the woman repeatedly tried to get her attention. Went there 2 weeks ago to get a kit for what they call fecal occult blood test. They give you a kit. You take it home. Put a stool sample where they tell you, then you mail it to the lab and they tell you if there's blood in the stool and therefore greater likelihood of colon cancer. I did it all. Just went online to get the result. It says they did not perform the test because I used an expired kit - A KIT GIVEN TO ME BY THE FRONT DESK AT THE MIAMI BEACH LOCATION. Great. Now I need to spend time again getting a kit and go through the indignity of the prep work, because they don't keep the right kits stocked. I'm not going back. Now I have to wonder what the test would've shown. Great job Quest. Got to find me a new lab that keeps their house in order. read more

I was told to show up at 8 to submit paperwork and at 8:15 they take patients. At 8:26am the nurse strolled in a casually asked for IDs and insurance cards. Other people left in front of me upset as we were told they were still waiting on someone else to show up and work. This is unacceptable and u professional especially in the medical field! People usually are hungry, thirsty, and in a rush to get to work - and just wanting to get their bloodwork done quickly and move on with their day- however at Quest in Ley West, they didn't seem to care about it. If I could give this Quest location zero stars I would. This horrifyingly managed Quest disregards COVID compliance of any kind. Packs in people like sardines in a tiny space with no air circulation to outdoors. The staff simply don't give a crap. Don't honor apts. Don't know what they are doing and will leave you waiting endlessly even with an apt. I was forced to walk out a second time in 8 days, even with an apt! After waiting 30 minutes and trying to check in with a proper QR code, I was so concerned for my health and safety that I left due to the over crowded room, the total disregard for the many people crowding the front desk waiting for someone to check them in properly or address their needs. Quest should be ashamed of themselves. It was mayhem. With all the efforts to manage crowds safely in enclosed spaces due to Covid, this quest did nothing. Worse, I walked in the first time around, and they refused the draw my labs even though I had an apt, was a few minutes late and they claimed they were closed already at was 3:29 pm. The recording when you call that location indicates 4pm. These employees just don't give a crap. Fire them and hire one of the many unemployed folks that might want to do the right thing, and treat customers properly. In that case the place was empty. Worse, they had no record of the faxes sent by the doctors office. I had copies with me but it highlights to total disorganized mess the place is. No one is dedicated to the front desk it appears. The people who work here should be fired. The place should be closed and moved to a location with direct outdoor access so the long long wait times that people are subject do can be endured outdoors in a safe manner. And a manger should be hired to run the place properly. The second time I went, yesterday, with an apt, the place was slammed at 3:00 PM. The automated check in screen, established to create a faster "check in" was moved behind the desk. So you can't check in quickly in a touches safe and quick manner. It took 20 minutes to get anyone to come out front to check in. Worse same guy doing the labs was playing admin/front desk check in, they all were. No order. Total lack of management. He tried to grab my phone, no new gloves on, to wave in front of the check in device. I said, "I do not want you touching my phone due to risk of spreading Covid via surfaces". Idiotic that they just didn't put the sign in electronic screen back where it belonged in the lobby check in in front of the desk for exactly this issue. In a huff, he was forced to removed the screen from the stand to allow me to swipe it myself. When an error occurred he barked, "you have no apt" and walked off! For the next 15 minutes I begged him to return to try again as I DID have an apt and it was right there in the email confirm. I begged anyone to show up at the front desk. All ignoring the request and treating me like some lying criminal. Appalling. He didn't give a crap. Others in the waiting area were having their own frustrations. Some had been there over an hour. One had to argue with the rude staff because of their failure to pull all the faxes of orders and failed to do ALL the tests. Then told her, "you don't have an apt". To which she yelled, "I was just back there getting my labs drawn. I did. I need the urine test.". They then told everyone without an apt to go home. At this juncture it was 3:35 I knew the same thing would take place as last time: Some lazy kid would come out and say "Times up, go home. Can't see you. We are closed." What happened to simple protocol for Covid like "We will text you when it is your turn, then you can come into those unsafe enclosed spaces". What happened to common sense and professional conduct? It was all lacking here. It resembled a third world country. In addition, the building is a "sick building" with known leaks and water damage that were never properly repaired. Thus likely mold in the HVAC system. The least of your worries during a pandemic. I was so appalled at the entire scenario that after investing another 90 minutes of my day in an effort to get much required lab done again, I took my immune compromised self and walked out. The risk was too great. The more people talk or yell inside an enclosed room, even with masks on, the larger the risk for spreading Covid. Given the large volumes of business Quest is doing these days, it is a wonder why the executive management is too cheap to hire front desk staff dedicated to getting the people checked in, and lab orders printed and processed? I was so irate and stressed out by the time I was forced to leave, that I actually spent another hour of my day at home looking up Quest executive offices, in California, and actually called one of the top executives and spoke to the Exec. Assistant begging them to do something. It was, in short, an appalling example of how not to handle a lab or any business right now. Go anywhere else! CAVEAT EMPTOR. read more

I had an appt. for blood test 10.45am fasting ~ I arrived 10.50am ~ there were 40 people waiting and screaming children that required the attention of office receptionist ~ An hour later I was still waiting!!! and my blood sugar had dropped ~ I was shaking ~ so I drank my smoothie (which I brought to stabilize my blood sugar after test). I was informed that one hour wait was normal and if I had no appt it would have been 2hours or more ~ just horrible & stressful !!!!! read more

I had to get some pre-employment tests done here and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The bathroom they use for the urine sample is maybe 4x4 at most. You're completely cramped in there. If your a female and weigh more than 100lbs, good luck sitting on that toilet. Not to mention that the lady will remind you every 15 seconds that you need to finish up. read more

My lab work was done weeks ago and now here I am again sitting in my doctors office waiting for them to fax the results. This was my first time going there and as soon as I got there the receptionist was kind and fast, she checked my insurance card and ID then asked me to come inside for my blood work right away. Once inside I asked my lab tech (Juliana) how many blood tubes she was going to extract because I know once that forth tube starts filling up I'd faint...I told her 3 was my max...she said she was gonna extract 8!! Of the big ones!! I was ready to faint but she told me she was like that too and it's common with people who have low blood pressure, she took my blood pressure to prove her point and yep it was pretty low, then she told me to lay down while she extracted the blood so this way my head would have plenty of blood supply and I wouldn't faint and fair enough 8 big tubes of blood later I was fine!! Thank God for Juliana! Bc of her I feel like I can even donate blood now (as long as I'm laying down). We learn something new everyday right? Well, long story short; yep! Okay - two stars may be generous - this was kind of a disaster. I thought I would do a positive karma train by going direct to the lab for some needed blood work and skip my doctor's office which would save me a copay, and my insurance company a lot of $$$ too by not having the added doctor's visit - what a mistake! These "techs" didn't know how to read the prescription for lab work. They kept telling me it wasn't for lab work even though it had "LAB" and the name of the test written right on it (clearly they do not have a whole lot of training or experience). The waiting room was EXTREMELY crowded with a lot of unhappy/miserable people waiting for these clearly miserable techs. Worst, is that when one of the techs called my doctors office, she said she spoke to my doctor and she was faxing a new prescription despite myself knowing that my doctor was out of the office on medical leave. So, the tech wanted me to sit there and wait for another fax that would have never come! I made sure to loudly explain that my doctor was on medical leave so that everyone knew that what she had just said was #$%^&**&^%$%! The tech who lied about my doctor faxing another prescription (which was unnecessary and not provided), ended up being the tech to draw my blood. Not only was she bad in the front office, but she was just as bad in the back as well. After five minutes of banging on my arms for a vein, I finally asked if there was anyone there with more experience. With a really bad attitude (her usual self), she slapped off the rubber band and hollered to someone else. A guy came over who was really nice, found a vein no problem and rather painlessly took my blood. He was the only saving grace. Once the 40 minute wait for my " scheduled appointment" was over and a I got a new tech to draw blood - it was okay. Haven't gotten my results yet - I hope to god they did the right test and we'll have some. And big ps - I was never able to call or get anyone on the phone here. It's an automated attendant only. I would never recommend this to anyone - unless you don't have health insurance and need to save some $$$. I'm not sure if this is cheaper than having your blood drawn in a doctor's office - but sometimes there's no price you can put on aggravation! read more

I was very hesitant about this lab because of the reviews, but I needed the blood tests and my insurance works with them so I had no option, so here is my story I got there late and I forgot the Lab request form I thought I would just have to reschedule, all of a sudden only pleasant surprises Yuliana told me not to worry so she called my doctor and asked to send her the testsI required by fax as soon as she received it she put me trough and did a fantastic job!!! I needed 9 vials, everything went so smooth and no bruise at all I appreciate she went out of her way to help me. Than You!!! Will be more than happy to go to Quest again. Thanks Yuliana read more

Had appointment at 9:15. No one at front desk - only a kiosk where I scanned my code to check in (but several elderly people just stood there waiting - poor arrangement). Names appear on a list - mine first said 22 minute wait, later changed to 5 and then 2; however, from the time it said 2 minutes, I waitin almost 15, and during that time period, my name just disappeared from the list. Although the tech was nice, the system is terrible. Despite having blood drawn at a different Quest site last year, they did not have my correct insurance info which hadn't changed. Then, their system wouldn't accept straight Medicare (not Advantage or HMO) as a proper insurance, and it couldn't locate my doctor's correct address. Eventually I got my blood drawn and received the results the next day - except they had not performed one of the tests that was on the request. They are closed for the weekend and it is almost impossible to contact someone. As a physician, I find this experience totally unacceptable and it needs significant improvement in multiple areas. read more

I would have given 0 stars if I could. Today I went for routine labs. I had an appointment and was called in on time. The phlebotomist tried twice to draw blood. She took me to another room to have the manager do it. First I went to the restroom to collect urine. The room was filthy and there wasn't any soap or paper towels. Pretty gross after doing a urine collection. Then the manger tried to draw blood and wasn't successful. I know I have tricky veins but a good technician is able to get it on the first try. She told me to drink some water. There weren't any cups at water cooler so I had to wait for cups. I drank the water and then waited another 20 minutes only to be told that they weren't allowed to stick a patient more than 3 times. I don't understand why she didn't know that after I had been stuck the third time. After all she is the manager! I was late for work, my arm is all bruised and I still need to go somewhere else for labs. Someone should also tell the technician it wouldn't hurt to smile. Do not go to this Quest. It was a terrible experience. read more

My visit to this quest today was absolutely wonderful!!!!! I've been to many testing centers before as I have to get blood tested every six months for a pre-existing condition. This time was a bit different. I was just there for a drop-off since I was in the area. Unfortunately, the other Quest I had been to didn't specify what I had to do with the specimen I had to drop off.... Clythe was so helpful in getting everything fixed for me. She let me take my time to complete the process I had to do. She kept checking on me to make sure it was okay and she kept saying it was unacceptable that the other location didn't describe what I had to do In detail. I will keep coming back to this Quest and highly recommend for all!! read more
