Wish I could give 0 stars. This place is a joke and I can't believe doctors and insurance companies support this place. Online there were no appointments available for (at least) weeks. Although I needed a blood test sooner I gave up after looking 8 weeks out. No appointments available. I tried calling and just an endless loop to go online. The automated phone scheduler offered nothing and it is not possible to speak to a human. So I went as a walk in. Somehow sometime people had made appointments but I have no idea when or how. There is no reception or human help, just two iPads to check in. Many people had been there for hours. Every so often a nurse or phlebotomist would open the secure door and call someone. She had no information other than to wait. After an hour I gave up and made an appointment for a location 45 minutes away several days later. Fortunately I'm not in crisis but if Quest was the only option I'd be screwed. I can't understand how a business operates this way. They exemplify everything wrong with our medical system and the lack of customer service is ridiculous. This place should be out of business. If you are able to get an appt great but if not don't bother. Choose another location. I feel really bad for the people that had to wait. read more

Slow slow slow!! i hate when im forced to get any bloodwork at quest! labcorp is so much better and convenient.

I had to take my 5 year old son in for blood work. He'd of course had plenty of shots before, but never blood drawn, so I was kinda nervous about the experience. And with Quest, when booking an appointment, it's near impossible to actually speak to anybody since it's all automated (at least in my experience). That said, I went into my son's appointment with a bit of anxiety and nervousness. I expressed my concerns with the phlebotomist who took us back, Lisa, and she was fantastic. Immediately reassured me that they were good with pediatric care. She had a very kind, calm and gentle demeanor and explained everything to my son, who started out brave but then got a tinge of nerves. For extra reassurance, she had a second phlebotomist, Herdy (sorry if I've misspelled the name) and she, too, was great as she held my son's arm while Lisa drew the blood. Both were very reassuring and calming with my son and they were very efficient and professional. The entire procedure was painless. Lisa found my son's vein and drew the necessary blood in seconds. My son couldn't believe how quick and painless it was. I'm very appreciative of Lisa and Herdy because I had booked this appointment a week out (because appointments are hard to come by at this location!) and for the week leading up to this, I was kinda nervous. But fortunately, Lisa made the entire experience fantastic! TL;DR: If you're a concerned parent who has a young child getting blood work for the first time, rest assured this location is a good choice. But definitely make an appointment! read more

Conveniently located and easy to find. Parking available on-site or at nearby parking garages. The waiting area itself was very clean and presentable. Worse place ever. Currently still sitting in the waiting room as I am writing this. Been waiting for 4 hours to get bloodwork that is STAT. With that being said obviously I can't make an apt. I get having to wait but to have to wait over 4 hours is absurd and inhumane. And to top it off when you try and talk to someone they just don't care and have no compassion whatsoever. read more

WOW!!! What a great experience. I got a text an hour and a half before my appt, telling me the address and to click the link when I arrived. I got to the site, clicked the link, and it had me checked in right away. I was called back right at my appt time. The lady who drew my blood, I believe Bianca, was so kind. She is, by far, the best person that has ever drawn my blood. I didn't even feel it!! She was so kind, made conversation during my visit, and even showed me the vials after she took my blood to ensure my name on the tags were correct (I've never had anyone do that). Consistently horrible. I recommend any lab other than Quest Diagnostics at Town Center. If god forbid you have to go, bring a written order. My doctor's office sent the order the day the appointment was made and twice the day of the appointment. I was made to sit for over an hour past my appointment. I was never going to be seen. During the COVID era, I was not seen because of the same issue. I needed testing after leaving the hospital following an advanced, life-threatening infection. Even with an appointment, I was passed over, and they attended to vacationers needing COVID tests. This lab is beyond terrible. The Quest on Pico Canyon Road is closed now, and it is awful to see. They were professional and never made a mistake. Thier fax machine works! read more

No point in arriving early. Checked-in at 8:10 for an 8:40 appointment and no one could see me early. Waiting area was full with no seating inside. Kiosk check-in was easy but might be a challenge for older customers. Had to wait outside but if you park on the street in front of Optx or Roma, you could wait in the car. Entrance to the lab is by the water fountains. Area is beautifully maintained and peaceful. Let's be frank. We're all here to leave urine samples and some of us haven't peed for over 12hours. There REALLY needs to be a way to collect the more urgent samples quicker. Maybe just have a bathroom in the waiting area with instructions to leave urine in a cup?? I'm now waiting in my car. Bladder about to burst. 2 minutes before my appointment I went into the waiting area. 10 minutes AFTER my scheduled time, they called my name. Even tho I said I'd wait outside, I did not receive a text. I was seen by a happy plump phlebotomist. She was so patient, kind and happy. I was finished in 10 minutes. PROTIPS: 1/park on the street in front of Optx or Roma 2/"wait outside" option at check-in does not work. read more

It was impossible to get an appointment so I walked in (despite reading horror stories on Yelp about doing so.) I wanted to make sure that they had received my faxed orders before waiting but there was no receptionist to talk to. The tech said I'd just have to wait my turn. TWO HOURS later I was called back only to find out they had "not received" the fax my doctor sent the day before. (I verified it was sent.) Massively frustrating experience. I was able to make a same day appointment with Labcorp and they received my fax. I walked in. They took me. Done in less than five minutes. I will never go to Quest again. read more

DON'T BOTHER!!! You can't get a morning appointment for weeks and I just waited on the walk-in list for 2 hours two days in a row just not to be seen. Don't say you take walk-in's when you clearly do not. I was first in the building day 2 and still not seen. Absolute BS. Updated to 2 stars because after day 3 of getting in line at 7AM and being first on the walk-in list I finally got seen after an hour by a very nice male tech with glasses and grey hair (sorry I missed your name). Just popped into Quest to have some lab work done As usual I absolutely adore all of the phlebotomist. They are so so so very hard-working. My goodness the room was packed and they managed to help all patients as well as conduct lab work as well! They are so patient and absolutely know exactly what they're doing! I wish they still had a person stationed at the front desk before seeing the phlebotomists, this would relieve a lot of stress and confusion for these phlebotomists! They really are fantastic! The best! As I waited I helped a couple patients as they did not understand how to navigate the self check in.... Highly recommend this Quest location in Valencia! read more

Horrible. I am currently in a waiting room with several elderly people here at Quest with only computers available to check them in. I've seen two elderly people walk out already in frustration. Know your demographic A friendly face working behind the desk to greet people and get the checked in would go a long way. Not all lab is the same, they don't ask what kind of work needs to get done when you walk in and therefore the care is super inefficient. Long wait time, and they are also slow. Came here for a blood draw, waiting room area is full of people and drab decor and paint. After over an hour, went outside to wait. Never got a text or they didn't open the door to call outside. When I came back in to check, they had my name off the check in list, I had to recheck in and start waiting all over again. There's only 2 technicians working right now I've been here over 3 hours waiting. There is no one in the reception area to speak with to ask about the situation. No idea why this location has low stars - I use it exclusively over all the other quest locations in town because the team is fantastic and the service excellent. Either as a walk-in or with an appointment. Sharon in particular always makes my day, and even with 30+ panel tests I'm in and out in minutes and a smile on my face! read more

UCLA lab has spoiled me. Terrible experience today. Arrived at 2:45 for a 2:50 appointment. Kiosk not working well...had problems scanning my qr code so had to type in my letter code. The kiosk is so worn out that you have to punch the keys to populate the screen. only one phlebotomist working. They only took 2 clients in 40 minutes. Old reception window permanently closed...see photo. Finally left at 3:30 after having blood drawn by Vivian who was definitely overworked. I was happy with the blood draw. Eight people waiting when I left. Won't go back...just pure company/corporate greed to 'automate' customer service. Pretty soon they will probably have robotic phlebotomists to cut costs even more. i usually make an appointment, but starting a new medication and have am infusion at leavy cancer center, soooo i tried to get a blood test as a walk in. as a walk in you are less than a citizen. no updates, your name does not nake it to the board... and as i type this, they call my name for my paper work... guess we will see what the wait is now. it had been an hour so far, and i am starting the clock again... they people are really nice, and it is not a horrible experience when you have an appointment. but as a walk in, you are lower than low. but hey i love when i have an appointment, you are a priority!! they got me in after calling my name, so it was about an hours 20 minutes... to me, that is fair. thank you quest for coming thru when i needed you to. key take away is go online, make an appointment if you can... it helps you and them. i understand, i have had an appointment about 98% of the time read more
