Frustrating place. Needed to drop off sample taken at home. Should have taken 3 minutes. Instead Quest said we had to make an appointment in order to leave the sample. One hour and 40 minutes later we got our "appointment". All they had to do was type our name and birthdate in a computer and then put the sticker on it. Angry clients in lobby with slow service for everyone. Can't park in front of location. Have to park in mall structure. Go to Lab Corp! Faster and more professional service. read more

This is the ONLY place I will go if I have to have blood drawn. I have a tendency to pass out and they take excellent care of me. I have always been taken in within 5 minutes of my appointment time. It is very clean and the staff is EXCELLENT. I had to have extensive blood drawn today and Vivian was so great!!!! She had me lay down, face the wall (so I would not see anything) and talked to me the whole time she was doing the draw. I never felt a thing nor did I feel light headed as talking makes you breathe. She made sure I was okay to get up and I was on my way. Do not hesitate to make an appointment with this location. I have been here multiple times and every time is as described above. read more

Quest The 1 star goes to Abel, who was the only professional employee I dealt with at this appointment. #1 He asked if I had a mask and offered to get me one, unlike the other employee who rudely told me I NEEDED to wear one after I asked her for help checking in. #2 He knew exactly how to direct me in holding my toddler son for the blood draw and as a bonus he got it on the first try. He made the process pretty smooth and knew his job well. The receptionist lady was not helpful when I told her I tried to login twice on the kiosk for my appt and it wouldn't load. She insisted I might be at the wrong location, she wouldn't even look at my confirmation code. She then directed me to try a third time at the kiosk, then when she saw on the kiosk it said I was late for my appt she said that's why. I was on time the first time I attempted to check in, but yea obviously by the third attempt and waiting more than 10 minutes I was now late duh. Finally she checks a print out of all the appointments for the day and my son's was on there. Then the phlebotomist who rudely told me I had to wear a mask was approached by another staff asking her if she was clocking out. Then I heard the other staff tell her she wasn't supposed to be clocking out and needed her help. This could all be heard at the front desk. Very unprofessional. read more

I did an 18 hour fast, I learned my lesson the first time I went to Tarzana locations and waited 2 afters after my appointment (maybe the site over booked them or short staffed). So I showed up super early to prevent that, mine was at 1240, the system wouldn't let me check in earlier so I used the kiosk at 12, and got my blood drawn. This place lives up to the horrible reviews, google says it's open till 11pm on Saturdays and in fact they are NOT open. Get your sh*t together and fix the hours on google instead of wasting people's valuable time. Will not be coming back here. Not to mention the day before I was also here and did not see the phlebotomist wash hands nor change her gloves prior to drawing my blood. So happy for the service provided in this Quest location. Special mention to Vivian who got my vein in just one try. I have always been a hard stick and I know that, that's why I was sent to this lab because concentra was not able to get my vein. Four techs had tried but none of them were successful. I'm so impressed with Vivian. She made me feel safe and assured. I was a walk-in in the lab but did not have to wait hours. I was the first one on standby. My doctor always orders blood tests that most people are not familiar with and a higher than average number of tests. I'm gonna go ahead and leave a review on this location, one that I've been to twice, but honestly, I wish I could leave a review for the company as a whole. To be straight up, I'm not impressed with Quest Diagnostics at all. My wife is pregnant and we have come twice to do prenatal testing. The first time, we went on a Saturday morning, luckily and by chance arriving right at the opening. That made my wife #6 in line on the standby list since we hadn't made an appointment. Ok. No biggie. We waited about 45 minutes until we got called which I actually thought was pretty impressive. I'm good with that. The phlebotomist who helped was a little standoffish at first, but was nice enough and overall provided very good service. A hiccup with the first test that involved my wife's doctor required us to return to finish some of the blood draws. We learned and looked to make an appointment, but it's nearly impossible to do so at any location. An opening two weeks out was the soonest that we could go to, so we booked it, but then tried to do a walk in on a Saturday morning again at the Town Center location. Having learned from the previous experience, we arrived at 6:50am, 10 minutes before opening. Wife was #4 in line. Score! We walked in at 7am and sat down with an 50-60 year old gentleman as the #1 and a mother with a 10 year old boy who was fasting as the #2. The person who was #3 left. So, we sat. And sat. We watched appointments get taken in. Ok. Makes sense. We sat. Man #1 was still sitting and waiting also. 8am. Still waiting. 9am. Hmmm.... still waiting. Around 9:45am, #1 finally gets taken in. There's only the #2 and us (now #3) waiting in the lobby area. They had come and asked about us, then just let us wait. Needless to say, we didn't get seen. Waited over 3 hours with only 2 other standby groups in a lobby that often had no other appointments waiting. On a few instances, the phlebotomists were done with the previous patient early, but instead of clearing the standbys in the lobby, they took the next appointment up to 25 minutes early. That's great service for them, but not the most efficient management for all. Again, I'm not impressed with Quest overall because we're here at their Burbank location, with an appointment, yet waited in the lobby for 30 minutes past appointment time to be seen. And this is why we'll be switching my wife onto my insurance with KP. read more

Hours on the website as well as on the door of the business indicate they are open until 4:00 p.m. However, if you walk in prior to that time (when there is no one in the waiting room and several technicians wandering around) the manager will tell you "Sorry we are not servicing any more patients this late in the day. We close up shop at 4:00. You will have make to an appointment" then turns his back and walks away! I'm not trying to get a salon appointment here, this is kind of important. How are such inconsiderate people in this line of work? Go manage a McDonald's...you are better suited to that clientele. read more

This place is disgusting and I'm pretty sure my urine sample was contaminated. The tech touched 75 different things including her face, her mask, the computer, the drawers then was appalled that I asked her to change gloves. Urine cup was handed to me just as a cup with a lid and while I was having my blood taken someone else came into the room With their urine sample put it on the table then she had me do the same thing not long after. I went to get my blood work done and nurse Vivian was fantastic!! Very caring and professional! She also did a great job drawing my blood in one go as I have deep veins and other nurses in the past at different locations that weren't at Quest diagnostics have poked me a few times and sadly didn't find a vein! Had an appointment last week (11/22) and I will say I did not wait long. BUT I did not care for checking in with a computer instead of a human and having to get out my drivers license and insurance card for the computer to scan. I don't want to be touching this machine that everyone else has been touching all day.....ew. Lab draw went smooth, but today is 11/30 and my results are "still processing" according to the app. RIDICULOUS! I have an appointment with my specialist tomorrow and have to cancel because I have no labs to show them. I've tried calling Quest and that is an ABSOLUTE joke. There is not option to speak to a human. The messages say to wait a week for results... well, I've waited over a week and still waiting. So if I want to talk to anyone I will need to go down there? Oh, wait, there will be no one at the desk to talk to me.... What's funny is that when I get my labs drawn at Facey, they send the tests out to Quest and I get my results within 24-48 hours tops. So it makes ZERO sense that when my labs are done directly at Quest, I can't get results. Will never go here again. read more

I ended up here because the last place I went to tried 15 times and could not handle my tough veins that tend to look really good but then roll and disappear. I had a nurse drop off some of my labs and they sent me a larger than normal bill. In addition, their billing practices are more than a little aggressive. They don't give you a chance to get the bill, review it for errors and handle their errors before trying to put you into a "past due" mode. Seems although they had my insurance information on record, they made no attempt to bill my insurance company. The nurse also provided and verified my insurance information when submitting the labs, so I knew they had it in their system. I've used them on occasion in the past without any insurance problems. This type of billing scam makes it easy for them to make the patient responsible for the ENTIRE bill--including the insurance amount-- because by the time it's marked as "past due" it's too late for the patient to have them fix the billing error without potentially having them send it off to collections and hurt your good credit. They know this and they count on you to just pay the whole amount in cash yourself if you don't want them to ruin your good credit. The patient usually doesn't see their billing error until it's too late, and instead of the contracted amount, the lab gets the full (non-contracted) amount by the patient in cash. Since my work requires me to work with a lot of Medicare and large health plans, I'm familiar with the way these companies maximize profit. Note on your bills they never provide itemization--for this reason I recommend you demand an itemized bill for services rendered---what exactly are they billing you for? Most people don't even know. They make bills impossible to read for a reason. One caveat-- this takes time and the clock is ticking on your due date, even if you dispute an error they make, so they can still hold you "accountable" even when you are investigating a billing error and it's not your fault. By not stopping this clock, it ensures that they can tack on late fees after due date and send it to a ruthless collection agency. They don't want you to know these scummy tactics. I ended up paying my bill in cash so they didn't mess up my credit, and was over billed the non-contracted amount. I'm also sure they submitted the bill A SECOND TIME to get paid twice-- once by me, and another time by my insurance company. This will show up in your insurance statement which I will submit as proof of insurance fraud with my credit card payment that they over-billed me for. If you pay your full bill and they fail to bill your insurance, they WILL get paid twice. It's fraud, and it's the only reason they would be billing you without billing your insurance first. I'll be notifying my insurance company and submitting an insurance fraud case with my insurance to make sure they're nailed for their double-billing. To boot, the labs that came back from Quest to my doctor were so out of the norm that they weren't even realistic. They screwed up my kidney function tests and couldn't even do a basic CBC. They returned the order to her twice for confirmation. I had to go to Cedars-Sinai to get the labs re-done they did such a crappy job. So I paid for worthless inaccurate labs. You're better off going to your specialist and getting them done in a more professional lab. *** Addendum: This is in response to the business reply I received saying "I should call customer service." Telling me to sit on hold for hours and waste my valuable time dealing with your mistakes is the worst reply ever. I already have a bill with this same number on it and I'm not an idiot. Quest should recognize their own error and send the customer a reimbursement check after properly billing the insurance. This is not my responsibility to make this happen. It's Quest's. It's not my job to tell you guys how to do your job. This is Quest's screw-up and Quest alone needs to fix the problem, since they're the ones who caused it. I'm not on Quest's payroll. read more

i have happily used this lab for decades, but their online appointment page has changed to the point where you are shopping for individual tests instead of scheduling for a doctors routine screening. When I finally managed to schedule an appointment I received the standard text alert telling me ro check in when I got there. I tried to do that MULTIPLE times but the linked page didn't provide me with any options other than to cancel, which I didn't want to do. I stood at the counter, which used to occasionally have someone there to help, but there was no one. After waiting 10 minutes I decided to use the kiosk to check in and it told me that I was now 11 minutes late for my appointment and I would have to reschedule!!! I'm done with Quest!!! read more

My actual collection process was fast and easy. I made an appointment online a few days beforehand, and was taken back within 5-10 minutes of checking in. The collection process itself only took another 10 minutes or so. The reason I only give 3 stars is because of how long it took go get my test results. My daughter has been fasting the entire day so that she could get her blood work done @ 2 pm. Unfortunately there was a road closure on San Francisquito which caused an unexpected traffic jam. My daughter had just received a "too late" text message from Quest as she approached the building. Instead of explaining the policy in a professional manner, Quest employee, Natalie, refuses service and becomes belligerent and rude. Really crappy thing to do to a kid who has been FASTING all day!
