Went with a group of 4 and had an amazing time! All of us mid to late twenties with half of us being completely new to puzzle rooms and the other half doing them a few times in the past. It was our first time coming to Quest Factors in general, and they made a great impression I'll go into below: Ended up doing the National Treasure room a 5/5 difficulty! Our game master Michael was very enthusiastic and gave great hints/ guidance. He's been with this establishment for a while and you can really tell he loves what he does! He definitely made our experience 100x better, conversing with us about the puzzles afterwards as well as open to suggestions on how to make the place better ( which honestly couldn't get better than it already is!). The waiting room is nice and clean with a drink station with tea and water, and easy access complimentary lockers for your belongings ( not required to use- we all opted to bring our purses and bags into the escape room ). As for the room itself, I thought the room was well themed and cohesive, they have added music cues when you complete some of the bigger puzzles which we were really digging! Nice ambient music while we were playing, and one of the best constructed rooms I've seen. Nothing is falling apart or has you questioning " is it supposed to do this/ is this thing not working." Puzzles don't have you brute forcing/ gambling answers- there's a logical solution to every one. We did go over our time limit of 1 hour, but I think since there was no booking ahead of us our game master graciously gave us a few more minutes! We finished in 1hr and 10 minutes approximately! Another detail we thought was cool is that they hang above the escape room doors outside the "quickest completion time." For National Treasure it's 30 minutes ( without hints or clues)! So definitely something for even the most seasoned escape room enthusiasts to challenge! We will definitely come back to try the other higher difficulty room at their Seattle location! read more

We attempted the National Treasure room at the Shoreline location and didn't manage to escape, even though we're fairly experienced escape room players. The puzzles were challenging, interesting, and high-tech. My favorite puzzle from this room was one that involved a piano. I thought it was exciting and innovative. There was one other escape room at the Shoreline location--the Mad Scientist room. We may come back to attempt this one! The sounds we heard through the door made it seem like a fun and interesting escape room. The staff members at Quest Factor were friendly and professional. Tucked away behind Goldie's and connected to the left side of the Scottish Masonic center is this hidden gem. Located at the old 24 hr fitness, right smack in the middle of shoreline. Who would have known! For my sisters birthday a group of 6 including me came in to put our brains to the test. We did the National Treasure escape room and had SO much fun!! Definitely a great way to bond with friends or family! Now, I don't want to give away any "secrets" but things were very unexpected and you really have to think outside of the box. You get 1 hour and time goes by super fast! I highly recommend trying this out if you are up for a challenge!! Btw, this is a smaller location and only has two escape rooms. My partner and I have done a lot of escape rooms (over 50) and this was by far one of the worst experiences we have ever had. Our host was incredibly dismissive, not knowledgeable, and clearly didn't want to be there. The room itself was well designed, but several of the puzzles weren't working and the host didn't know nor did he fix it. He solved it for us manually and then that reset the beginning timer and audio, so our time was inaccurate and we had to listen to the beginning audio prompt again. Many of the lights on the wall don't light up or change, when they clearly are supposed to. Our status board kept failing so we didn't know how far along we were in the puzzle. Some of the puzzles are really cool and immersive, and then some are really dumb and like a kid's online game. On top of all of our issues, the host didn't apologize or offer a discount so this cost us $80. read more

This review is for the Shoreline location, for both the Mad Scientist and National Treasure experiences. For context, my wife and I have done a good amount of escape rooms around the Seattle area and in various states. The Mad Scientist room is great and I recommend it to people who are new to escape rooms. The puzzles are broken up via a displayed task list and it's very easy to gauge how much progress you've made and how close you are to finishing for those worried about the clock. Word to the wise, this room in particular does contain a puzzle that requires some dexterity, something not typically required for escape rooms. We finished with 20 minutes to spare, with our last 10 minutes spent on the dexterity puzzle (not our strongest suit) but I mention this, again for context because... The National Treasure room is no joke and it's a 5/5 difficulty rating is justified, but not the reasons you would think. Many of the puzzles aren't as intuitive to solve, and some puzzles require you to resort to guesswork and brute forced solutions. As others have noted, the feedback you get from completing puzzles isn't great either (The Mad Scientist room is also guilty of this to a degree). There were numerous times I had to ring up the game master, not for clues but to ask if we messed up, because some props would not intuitively reset between puzzle attempts and even when you solve a puzzle, again upon completing some puzzles the feedback isn't quite there. As an example, there was a puzzle where you put pegs in corresponding holes, simple enough. However, upon doing so, nothing happened. We asked the game master and he said we needed to flip the pegs around and insert them from the other ends. There were no indicators of this particular nuance and it placed doubt in our ability to do the room's puzzles, really bizzare. My wife and I completed roughly 60% of the room's puzzles (the game master said as much) before our time expired. I recommend doing this room with at least a party of 4 very experienced members. I wish whoever books this room luck, the game master told us in his 10 years, only 2 groups have successfully finished in the time limit, with a few groups finishing a couple minutes past the limit. This room is absurdly difficult and over the years with successes you can count on one hand, you'd think they would make it easier and more achievable. I'd argue it's a tactic to get you to book the room a second time and have another crack at it. In general, both rooms have red herrings and non-pertinent information strewn about (game master confirmed this), so heads up if you aren't into that. Another aspect that made things difficult was communicating with the game master. All of his responses through the walkie talkie were low volume and we had to ask him to repeat and speak up various times, whether it was the volume setting or him I'm not sure. When we asked for help, a lot of times his clues were vague and not all that helpful. We asked three times for clues on the same National Treasure puzzle, the first clue was vague, and that's perfectly fine. However, when we asked for further help, his second and third clues were roughly the same response, no added details. At some point I had to bluntly ask him for the method to solve it as we wanted to move on (note: it was a puzzle that involved some brute forcing). I'd also note that game master's introductions for both rooms were pretty cut and dry and there was very little enthusiasm in his voice, but if you've been doing this for 10 years, do you blame him? TL;DR: Try Mad Scientist if your group is relatively new to escape rooms. Try National Treasure if you want to be humbled/frustrated and/or want a room that needs two bookings to see it through. read more

Husband and I tried the Mad scientist game at Shoreline location first a few months ago. It was an easier game, a lot of scavenging than hard puzzles, so we gave it a 3 out of 5. Last night we brought our escape room team (between the 4 of us we've played over 100 games throughout the united states) to do their National Treasures room and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The room is definitely less decorated than most of their other games, which I was completely fine with as it seems they focused more on the puzzle aspect of the room. When we go to escape rooms, we tend to enjoy the rooms that has a lot of challenging puzzles and this one was more on par with our taste. Appreciate the effort put into the rooms both in terms of decor and puzzle, hopefully they will have more rooms like national treasures in the future! read more

I enjoyed my first escape room experience! It involved a lot of thinking and teamwork. The room is small but it surprisingly had a lot of puzzles. We did our best as a team to finish it, but we unsuccessfully failed. We were about 3 puzzles away from finishing it. I would recommend this as a great group activity. I love Quest Factor!! I've been here a few times, and it's always been a great experience. Super easy to book, even day of, and sometimes they have earlier times than what's on their website if you call or text. My friends and I did the National Treasure room, which was pretty difficult, but had a lot of really cool puzzles. We were gonna leave after that but if you do two rooms in a row, you get a discount which can be combined with their student discount. So we did the Mad Scientist room as well, definitely easier than the National Treasure, but has a really cool concept. Our game master Janet was also super helpful and nice! read more

We chose to do National Treasure which had a 4 star difficulty rating. I would say that it was pretty tough for our group of 5 but we were able to ask for unlimited hints, which helped tons! We almost finished it but ran our of time. It was so much fun and a great activity for even larger groups of people of 8! We loved the experience and will be going to the redmond location to try the Bank Heist one! read more

A while back I went with a few friends to try the two rooms: The Anastasia was the game master for both times. She is super friendly and kind. At time it may be hard to understand her though because of her accent. National Treasure - Highly recommended. It is one of the more difficult puzzle rooms but super cool decorations. There are unique puzzles specific to the room. I don't think there was any lock and key puzzle in this room. Best of all it was well lit. :) Mad Scientist - This game was okay, the room was easier compare to the other puzzle rooms. The puzzles were different but none as unique as the one found in National Treasure. If you are a beginner this is a good room to start with. read more

Quest Factor is definitely one of the best escape room location that I have ever been to. My boyfriend and I did both the Mad Scientist and National Treasure and had so much fun figuring out the puzzles. Anastasia was very nice and encouraging when we got stuck and needed to ask for a clue. I really enjoyed the fact that she wouldn't just give us the answer but would just give us a small clue that would help us figure out the puzzle ourself. We did the National Treasure room and it was quite well done. The context was entertaining--easy to get into the part. The puzzles were fun and challenging, but nothing too crazy. There were mechanical components that would open automatically after we did certain things, etc., which always makes it fun. The staff was friendly and helpful. The check-in process was easy and straightforward. The facilities were clean and neat. Overall, great experience. The only things I would suggest to improve it: 1) Better signage outside. This is tucked away in a little corner of Shoreline by a Masonic temple (appropriate for the National Treasure theme), and we weren't sure when we arrived. Maybe a lighted sign? 2) Stock hot chocolate along with the coffee and tea in the waiting room. read more

We played National Treasure and Mad Scientist there. National Treasure was amazing, very immersive, with some magical moments! Mad Scientist was also very good, with its complex machinery everywhere. Prefer Mad Scientist if you're a beginner and National Treasure if you're more experienced! In any case, those are two very recommended rooms. read more

My husband and I have done dozens of escape rooms, and Quest Factor rooms are consistently great! The puzzles require different kinds of thinking and there are multiple things you can be looking at and working on at once so your whole group can stay involved! The theming is strong and when I go in the room I stop thinking about being in a room and enjoy where I "am". There are cool electronic components in many rooms that enhance the overall experienced and have worked well, they're not too finicky. The staff is also great, they are clearly puzzle people who enjoy what they're doing, and that matters (I LOVE the gal at this location!)!! At this location there are currently two rooms: National Treasure and Mad Scientist. National Treasure is a solid, really fun room with tons of puzzles, including kinds I've never seen anywhere else. You're constantly figuring out how to piece together different things, and there's so much to see and explore. Mad Scientist is a great beginner room, intense theming, fun touches, but not too many puzzles or any requiring too many steps. We were playing with some less experienced people and escaped in under 40 minutes and they had a lot of fun with the lower pressure room. I highly recommend both, as well as rooms at their other locations! read more
