African cuisine is one I love, and there aren't a lot of establishments that focus on it around our local areas. I'm certainly not an expert nor have had the most experience with it vs my experience with European and Asian cuisine, what I can attest to is every dish we had at Two Hommes was packed with bold flavors, and every dish was executed at a high level. There are certainly no lack of spices and seasonings here, and my favorite of the night was honestly the lamb hummus and rice from the Jollof platter. My goodness, days later and I'm still thinking about how good the food was. We only had one cocktail, Cognac & Coffee, but from what I could tell the cocktail paired really well with the food. I'm guessing but I think alot of the cocktails are probably crafted to pair well with the food, and I can't wait to return to explore more of their drink menu. We did bring a bottle and there is a corkage fee, but would definitely recommend informing the restaurant ahead of time if you plan to bring a bottle - it sounds like they do need advanced notice. Overall since being back from a Portugal and Spain trip, this place delivered one of the best meals I've had since being back. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

On the bright side, the sesame bun was excellent, and I loved that they kept Sonia's legacy alive by printing her classic doodles on the tray placemats. I came five nights ago to get food. J, behind the counter, was polite. I ordered and was quoted a 25 minute wait for #84. Ok....I wait in the car where my kid entertained himself with my phone. I check periodically. At the thirty minute mark, I check. Order #85 is ready... TWO MORE orders come out and neither one are mine and both were ordered AFTER mine. There's a sign that says "Up to 45 minute wait." It's a vibe inside playing soul music with the pretty colors and cute quotes. Alright... Sharhonda... breath and just wait. Now, I'm at the 50 min mark and out comes another order that wasn't mine. She and the others ordered tacos for sure. The cook obviously has a preference for making tacos which are quicker than the burgers I ordered. I asked and he was just starting the burgers next. I was just thinking to myself, We Cupcake has been holding on for a while. But, I don't see them making it too much longer. Especially not with this type of food prep logic. It makes no sense. I do want some Quik N Split. I am so disappointed about the other night though. The next time will be when I have some time to blow waiting on some "fast" food. 3-5 day wait for a refund. This place is a classic, my dad used to come her, im sure his dad used to come here and i been coming here since high school. At this location it takes forever to get your food but but once you get it its delicious, everything is freshly made so its a reason it takes forever, i usually get 2 tacos and the quick n split burger and its never let me down. Even the ice cream is freshly made. people just dont have patients for a good thing anymore. Everything is A La Carte though so if you order a burger youre just getting a burger, you have to order fries and everything else separate and itll take about 45-hour for it to come out, so be prepared to order and leave or have a long wait. read more

Can't believe that with a swollen ankle and barely able to walk and an empty store I was told to move my car to quickly grab an order. Won't be returning due to lack of grace. Never ever returning and In addition last time I cane the food wasn't good quality anyway. And not to mention there was clearly an employees car parked in handicap without a handicap sticker which stops people really in need from parking there. Wasn't there for 2 minutes. Also The ice cream is not that same flavor from the early 2000's don't waste the try. Tried again and was met with insensitive service and disappointment in regard to the taste. read more

The first time, I called in an order and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived right on time, but still had to wait another 20 minutes. If you're going to give customers a pickup time, it should be reasonably accurate. The second time, I tried calling multiple times and nobody answered. When I eventually went in, I could hear the phone ringing behind the counter while the staff ignored it. To make things worse, they were already out of chicken in the middle of the afternoon. Running out of a staple item that early doesn't leave a great impression. On both visits, the employee working the front counter made me uncomfortable. Instead of focusing on customers and keeping orders moving, he seemed more interested in looking me up and down and commenting on my appearance. It came across as unprofessional and made the experience awkward. Worse part of that is that the place is small, limited seats for waiting and a few tables outside. As for the food, it was mediocre at best. The taco sauce tasted like Frank's RedHot rather than an actual salsa. I know they sell different varieties, but what came with my order was underwhelming and didn't add much to the meal. I gave this location multiple chances because I know every restaurant can have an off day. Instead, I experienced inaccurate wait times, unanswered phones, poor inventory management, unprofessional customer service, and average food. At this point, I'm done giving this location opportunities. It's disappointing to see a place with a solid reputation fall this far.
