OK, somethis all wrong here. 1. No coffee ready at breakfast time? Food delivered and eaten and finally the coffee arrived. Makes no sense. This wasn't a soft opening. 2. Breakfast plate - Waffle, Eggs, Sausage. approx $14.00 without the eggs same price, WTF. Waffle was soggy, very dissapointing. 3. Condiment station, no sugar had to ask crew to refil. 4. Side order of Zucchini sticks shows $4.00 on menu if you add it to a combo. $6.00 if ordered separetly. I asked wouldn't my overpriced breakfast can't for the add on price? This place has been in business for years and the first time I ever went there. My friend who works nearby recommended it as a good place with very reasonable prices. I ordered the chicken sandwich with a side of fries and beverage, and everything was very fresh. I liked the spicing on the chicken a lot - not bland at all. My friend got the breakfast burrito which she said was very filling. I saw people ordering the lunch combo which is a burger, fries, and chicken tenders for like $12! A real bargain. Went during lunch on a weekday and it was pretty crowded with a lot of employees from nearby companies. You can order to go or order with a cashier then sit wherever you want. You just take a number and they bring the food to you. They have pretty big tables indoors and also some shaded seats outside which is nice 3 box chicken tenders: 4/5. The chicken was pretty big and juicy. I do prefer a slightly more crispy outside though. The fries were also just alright. This portion was too much for just me so I would recommend sharing it with one other person if you aren't too hungry Garlic parmesan fries: 4/5. My go to place for breakfast burritos. I usually get the chorizo one. Its great to hit it up and get the day started. Fast and friendly service you get your food pretty fast. They are in a plaza and have plenty of parking and have a decent amount of seating inside and out and have never seen it pack but I think a lot of there business are to-go orders. Had never heard of this chain before Yelp sent me here because my go-to burrito place (Senor G's in Playa del Rey) didn't open until 9am. I was expecting something in downtown El Segundo, but this place is on North Douglas in that corporate neighborhood where I wasn't expecting to go at all. Pretty extensive menu of comfort food-- pancakes, burgers and burritos, and a 7am open time which is great. Super friendly folks behind the counter and was seriously tempted to get an 8am smash burger but went with a standard breakfast burrito with ham, and it was amazing. There was something vinegary in it that made my mouth water until the end. Very generous size as well for $12 so I was completely satisfied. There are many options to choose from and their breakfast and lunch options are both "fantastic." (Wink Wink) We have tried their pancakes, burritos, burgers and B.L.T.A. and they have all been very satisfying! You can't really go wrong with any of their items on the menu. You place your order at the counter, get a number, and a server will bring the food out to you. They have the basics down, but just short of amazing since recipe-wise there isn't anything that distinguishes it from any restaurant. I couldn't make up my mind for lunch. It was a battle between a burger or a pastrami sammich. Hubbers happened to be on the phone and then an idea: why not both?! He was all for it, "Go get the Yorker!" I had far too much to do at work so I knew it was gonna be a quick visit for a to-go order. Parked on the lot, jumped out of the car, found their front door, got in line (which was at least half a dozen peeps long ahead of me) and put my order in "no pickles, no mustard please." (I wasn't sure if it was included, but dropped it in case they did.) Whew, they were busy! They're popular for a reason and I was about to find out why. My food was ready in no time, so I bounced outta there and got back to work in a bit. Sammich was still warm by my first bite. First impression: this thing was huge! The buns were soft, sorta fluffy. The burger was cooked juicy and they were generous with the amount of pastrami! What a delicious and savory delight! It truly hit the spot. FOOD: 5. Based solely on the Yorker. SERVICE: 4. Friendly staff. Service with a smile. VALUE: 3.5. A little better then fair. PARKING: Private lot. Spots aplenty. Not an issue. OVERALL: 4.25. They have a whole lot to offer, and I plan on coming back sometime soon to try some of them, preferably when I'm not in so much in a hurry. What a cute little breakfast and brunch spot! It had exactly what we were looking for, a nice mix between breakfast foods and lunch foods. I got the chicken and waffles, which consisted of a nice large, fluffy waffle, along with two eggs and two pieces of perfectly cooked Chicken with a side of their special sauce, which was extremely delicious. I have been to the other Fantastic Cafe in El Segundo a few times. First time here per recommendation from my buddies parents. I went with a Fantastic Burger combo and upgraded to zucchini fries with a Coke. Was right under $19.00. How was it? Fantastic Burger- This sounded awesome. Bacon cheeseburger with avocado? Sign me up. Unfortunately, it wasn't that good...just ok. Even with the toppings, the burger patty itself was so bland, the whole burger was just pretty plain. They definitely need to season their patties better. Would not get again. Zucchini Fries- Now these things were bomb! Long, thin strips of perfectly fried zucchini paired with a great, thick, ranch dressing. Incredibly tasty and I would come back just to order zucchini from here. A+ zucchini. Coke- Always love ice cold Coke. Refills are done behind the counter, no self serve. The place was cool, the outside patio is really nice, everything around here is new.
