I don't understand why this restaurant has such a low rating! I ordered to go today for the first time. It was hands down the best Chinese food (in the United States) that I have ever had in my 60 years. The food was not salty (which tends to be my biggest problem with Chinese food), didn't have MSG, and was very flavorful. Additionally, the food was cooked fresh and ready extremely fast. I had the broccoli shrimp lunch special (with shrimp fried rice, and an egg roll) which was cooked exactly the way I like. The only thing that I didn't like (and don't like about most food joints) is that it's pricey in my opinion for a lunch special but not so pricey that I would give points off. This will be my go to Chinese restaurant from now forward (as long as they stay consistent). read more

Family run restaurant who so very obviously take great care in what they do. Their boneless fried chicken has the perfect proportion of batter to chicken ratio and comes out piping hot! The general tsao's chicken is another classic and has just the right amount of twang to balance out the sweetness. I picked up a Togo order here the waitress was extremely rude for no reason I was not rude to her. She herd me on the phone and made an assumption about me however that didn't give her the right to make a crack about me. To top it off she did it behind my back not to my face. She got some laughs I was halfway out the door but hers her. She needs to worry more about her work then her simple style wit. I had wanted a drink while I waited but wasn't offered one. You get a choice of lo mein or egg rolls to go with the rice but I got all three. They charged another dollar for the egg rolls but it was a dollar well spent. Also got boneless chicken with Mandarin sauce and sweet and sour sauce. Lady told me normally comes with one but what's another dollar for another sauce, am I right? Some of these reviews are ridiculous. This is my single favorite restaurant when I'm craving that Chinese food. Easily one of my top places to pick up some takeout when I'm down in Chalmette. The beef lomein entree is always my go-to and it never disappoints. I've tried other dishes but the lomein will always be the best. This one entree contains quite a sizable portion as there is enough food for both the wife and I. Overall, the food here is a super good deal for its portions, the staff are some of the nicest people, and most importantly, the food is consistently amazing. read more

first you all, i live across the way on the first street next to the restaurant ok. now online it says they DELIVER. well only if he's in the building. the woman who answered had to give me a call back to see if the driver was around and busy. shouldn't they know? NOT EVEN A LITTLE OKAY WITH THAT. an allergy so now i've gotta get this heaping amount of rice my body is okay with. great way to get your customers to come out of their pockets. I have been eating here for four years. I get takeout. If they say 15 minutes it's normally about 25 minutes or so. So be prepared for that, but otherwise the food is great. Big fan of the barbecue pork and pork fried rice. read more
