a hand holding a fried chicken

Don't buy food here, the beef taste very weird, had a bad taste. The chicken wings were dried and overcooked, burned in some spots. The egg rolls flour was just flavorless. This Chinese restaurant has very low food standards. Don't waste your funds. Go eat at 9 Roses or Hong Minh in the Westbank. This maybe my first bad review, but this restaurant need to change management or closed for good.

BONE found in BONELESS CHICKEN that my 2YO choked on!!!!

My 2 year old son was eating and CHOKED on the chicken bone found in the "boneless chicken" I had to pull it from the back of his throat. I will not be ordering from this restaurant at all anymore. Absolutely horrible

Lunch special L16, Triple Delight. Was truly a delight.

Jade Buddha... Such a beautiful find on my birthday for lunch. On Jeff highway, near the Huey P., it is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Good prices, heck great prices. I ordered Lunch Special L16, triple delight (Beef, Chicken, Shrimp) and was not disappointed. It came with rice, and an egg roll. All of which were very tasty. And the best part, the price was a paltry $5.95!! $5.95 for very good Chinese take-out with rice and an egg roll. If that doesn't seal the deal for you, nothing will. So, if you are in the Elmwood area and looking for some tasty Chinese food for lunch at a low-low-low price, kit up the Jade Buddha. They say Jade is the gemstone of prosperity, and I can see why! This place is hitting tasty on all cylinders.

Out of all the chinese places I have been to in New Orleans this one is one of the best! Most of the time when I go to take out chinese restaurants the food tastes kinda stale. Not here though I can tell that the food is fresh. It is also WAY better tasting food than most others. The people who run the place were pretty friendly. The prices were pretty cheap too. One of my favorite dishes here was General Tso's chicken. It was spicy and very good! The egg rolls were good and so was the shrimp fried rice. Ever since I first tried there food I have been back several times. I think my favorite thing though is the fact that this place is so close to where I live! In short this is a fantastic place to get some chinese take out!

    D2. Sweet and Sour Chicken

I Was craving Chinese food and this place is the closet to my house on the way home...next time I want Chinese food I will go out of my way. This was horrible the rice was hard and the chicken just looked worthless.

Love Jade Buddha! Usually order 2-3 times a month. The egg drop soup, sweet and sour chicken, and fried rice are great. Service is quick.

The main courses have always been great, but every single time we've ordered I end up with shrimp shells in the fried rice.

This is a basic Chinese restaurant. It can be a dine in place but I just take my food home. The food is cheap and fresh.

One restaurant that locals constantly recommended to me was Drago's Seafood in Metairie, and now I completely understand why. I ordered the charbroiled oysters along with the crawfish platter that came with crawfish étouffée, crawfish mac and cheese, and fried crawfish. Every single thing on the table was incredible. The charbroiled oysters absolutely lived up to the hype rich, buttery, smoky, and packed with flavor. The crawfish platter was just as impressive and gave me a chance to try multiple Louisiana dishes all in one meal. What really stood out to me beyond the food was the service. The staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and patient with questions from someone who isn't from Louisiana and still learning the local food scene. You can tell they take pride in both the restaurant and the hospitality. The only downside is parking can get a little complicated because the place fills up fast, which honestly says a lot about how popular it is. Just plan ahead or expect a short wait finding a spot. Overall, this is one of those restaurants that feels genuinely loved by locals and absolutely worth visiting if you're traveling through the New Orleans area.

My bartender, Darryl, took fantastic care of me. Vibes in this place are very warm and cozy, I sat at the bar to the right of the entrance as you walk in. I had a half dozen char grilled oysters and a cup of seafood gumbo. I see why the oysters are so popular, they are a hit. Buttery and garlicky, the crusty bread they serve with them is a great compliment to soak up the sauce. I had originally intended on getting the chicken and andouille gumbo but Darryl steered me away from it, he said it was very salty. I trusted his word and went with the seafood gumbo instead and was very pleased with it. The flavors were fantastic, but I am gonna ding it ever so slightly as I think $8.99 is kind of an obscene price for that serving size, but at least it was good. Overall I'm very satisfied with my lunch and the service, I think if you like seafood and you're in their area, you should eat here. Edit - $9 for a pint is a little over the top too, imo. My "light lunch" was $42 before the tip.

Our waiter, Jonathan, made the experience unforgettable. He took the time to sit down with us, walk us through the menu, and share his recommendations--and every single one was spot on. We ordered the blackened redfish, catfish, gumbo, savory cheesecake, bread pudding, and vanilla bean crème brûlée. Every dish was outstanding! And we can't forget the cornbread--the aroma of warm butter hits you the moment it's placed on your table. It was the perfect way to start the meal. What really stood out was the staff. Every waiter worked together as a team, helping one another and creating such a fun, welcoming atmosphere. You could tell they genuinely enjoyed what they do, and it made the entire dining experience even more special. From the incredible food to the exceptional service and inviting ambiance, everything was top-notch. If you're in the area, don't hesitate to dine here--you won't regret it! A special thank you to Jonathan from the family from Texas for making our visit so memorable. We'll definitely be back!

If you're looking for a dressy date night, this is not the place for you. But if you just want a hearty delicious meal in a fun atmosphere with friendly, attentive service- this is the place!!! We ordered: * Watermelon mojito - very refreshing * Hurricane - boozy * Ribeye special * Short rib special * Eggplant pirogue * Barbecue shrimp - which Daniel, our server who clearly loved his job and joyfully took care of all his customers, graciously peeled for me All our meals included the complimentary corn bread, a spinach salad, and 2 side dishes (we had the corn, mashed potatoes, and shoestring fries). The meal was already so filling, but our wonderful Daniel brought us a toasted coconut caramel bread pudding with 4 spoons! This place is packed every day after 7pm, but if you come early...you should be able to score a table. Reservations can be made for larger parties. It's a little out of the way, but worth the trip!
