Don't buy food here, the beef taste very weird, had a bad taste. The chicken wings were dried and overcooked, burned in some spots. The egg rolls flour was just flavorless. This Chinese restaurant has very low food standards. Don't waste your funds. Go eat at 9 Roses or Hong Minh in the Westbank. Went here because my usual places were closed .. it was just ok. I have hearing problem the lady seemed aggravated because I needed her to repeat a couple of times. The food was as expected for the type of business but not the behavior for a hearing impaired person. You have to keep some customers cannot hear well and ask the same questions because of that not to be annoying. Thanks read more

Walked in and was not acknowledged by staff. There was two people working and I was the only customer in the restaurant. Instantly made me feel unwelcome, but I waited due to they were in the kitchen. They could have at LEAST said, "I'll be right with you". Decided to leave after about 10 minutes. My money spends, and it can be spent elsewhere. I do not recommend this establishment. I am a customer and should be treated as such. You are not doing me any favors. That being said, this was my second visit here. The first time, I went with my friend and I did not buy food, he did, despite the cashier being rude to him. Decided to give them a second chance because I ate a few bites of his food and it was decent. Skip this place unless you enjoy rude, terrible service. read more

Gave this place a chance after seeing numerous negative reviews because of time and convenience... Ordered via phone, the lady that answered is very short and hangs up quickly... I gave em the benefit of the doubt thinking they were maybe busy for lunch... we arrived and no ones waiting or in line.... no excuse for her rudeness. Out of all the chinese places I have been to in New Orleans this one is one of the best! Most of the time when I go to take out chinese restaurants the food tastes kinda stale. Not here though I can tell that the food is fresh. It is also WAY better tasting food than most others. The people who run the place were pretty friendly. The prices were pretty cheap too. One of my favorite dishes here was General Tso's chicken. It was spicy and very good! The egg rolls were good and so was the shrimp fried rice. Ever since I first tried there food I have been back several times. I think my favorite thing though is the fact that this place is so close to where I live! In short this is a fantastic place to get some chinese take out! read more

Like I once mentioned - "I like the S Carrollton corridor places, and Manhattan Blvd" (cuz they're related). That's the standard that I compare to by default. I guess going to Chinatown in S.F. & N.Y. and not finding better must make me a bit of a curmudgeon or something. Next time I want something different I'll hit Trey Yuen in Hammond. The egg roll was mushy inside,like it's been sitting. The rice was under cooked. This is the first time I actually threw out Chinese food. Not the best environment for dining inside the restaurant and primarily a take out place. The food is decent but nothing really outstanding here. I've eaten here a handful of times but it doesn't really inspire me enough to ever be a first choice for Chinese food. This is a really good neighborhood Chinese spot. It reminds me of the ones in Brooklyn. Always fresh and hot. The mandarin chicken , shrimp toast, any of the lo mein..... any of the lunch specials you can't go wrong really. I usually order ahead but even when going in they never take long. For experimental purposes, I stopped in to grab dinner on my way home. I ordered the same meal that I usually order for my husband at our favorite fast wok spot. I didn't tell him that I had ordered it from a new place. He was super excited that I brought home so comfort food. Unfortunately, it didn't take him long to figure out that something was different. He complained that the shrimp fried rice was the worst he'd ever had and that the sesame chicken wasn't good and he didn't finish it. On a brighter note, I enjoyed my Hunan chicken/shrimp dish. However, another thing that's great about our normal spot is that you can spend less and get a smaller portion if you want to save a buck. I might order the Hunan shrimp on my lunch break in the future, but I'll stick to our usual wok for dinner. read more

In the 60 years I have been eating Chinese food, I have seen only 2 restaurants that served me shrimp with lobster sauce using a brown sauce. Every other place uses a white sauce. The white sauce compliments the dish. The brown sauce does not. The brown sauce ruined this meal for me. The service was, at best, medium. read more

I was a little skeptical to try this place after reading some of the other reviews on here, but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered takeout during Covid-19, so I can't attest to the customer service complaints, but the food was great! I saw one review specifically stating that the portions weren't enough, but I didn't find that to be the case. I had more than enough food, and ended up with an entire meal the next day. Best Chinese food in town!! Today me and my husband went for the first time and we both said "best chinese food ever". The place is very clean and well organized. The food OMG delicious and enough to eat and save some for later. I tried the vegetable soup and the cashew chicken with shrimp fried rice ans eggrolls. My husband got the shrimp general tso. Decent..even good place for a quick takeout. Has an option to dine in, but it's usually to warm and not very cozy. The food portions are large--i Can have it for lunch and dinner. It's consistently good..IF the usual cooks are in the kitchen. On rare occasions the friendly guy working the counter is cooking...the tends to be bland. So, if a woman answers the phone--he's likely doing the cooking, and the head cut if off. Been ordering there once a month for 10 years..I know! So--good not great over all. Worth a try. read more

DO NOT order from this company on Postmates or any other food delivery app for that matter. These people are scammers and will steal your money. They knowingly submit the wrong prices to the service first of all, and second of all they cannot read and will charge you for things that are not even on your receipt. I ordered $17.87 worth of food yesterday accounting for the difference in price. However I was charged $30 by this restaurant and then that made my overall Postmates fees also go up. Just don't order, they added an extra order of chicken wings to my order which was only $5 and change. Even that mistake does not total up to $30. They just add on however much money they want to make from you, if they didn't want to do the order correctly then they should have rejected the order. Not only did they steal my money but they also gave me the wrong order. I ordered the boneless fried chicken combination and instead received what's listed on the "poultry" portion of the menu. Just wrong. If you're going to steal money at least give the person wtf they ordered. read more

WORST DECISION AND MONEY OF ON OUR SEARCH FOR NEW LOCAL RESTAURANTS. This was, hands down, the single most sick I've been after eating out. My daughter couldn't even eat it. The only thing I was sad about was the fried wonton I ordered. It's basically a fried wonton basically empty. There's a tiny piece what it looks to be meat but resembles dog treat. Well. Never ordering the fried wontons again. Nonetheless, ill possibly order something else and hope it's not empty. read more

The quailty of the food is consistant with the prices. The menu is large, and there is a lot of variety. Portions are large, which means you can easily share a late night meal, especially if you order an appetizer. This is a great place for quick take-out on a late night during the week or weekend.
