    Voodoo roll
    Tracy S.

April 27, 2025 I placed an order for carry out. I was so excited to try the voodoo rolls as I was visiting family and they raved about how great the food was at this establishment. They were full of cheese, maybe three small pieces of crawfish and HAIR. The service was quick. Ambiance I can't speak for as I did carry out but it was pretty quiet in there. Will not be returning when I'm in town again.

I was comparing your photo of your menu to what I received.

The chicken lo mein I received does not look like the one in your menu photo. I am willing to drive to China Doll on the Westbank.

    Singapore Meifun, extra extra spicy
    Scarlett M.

After three attempts, I finally got spicy food. I followed their suggestion and ordered the Singapore mei fun as "extra extra hot," and yes, it has a little kick to it. Somewhere maybe between mild and medium. Maybe it's just something about that dish though. I later tried their orange chicken and it had roughly the same amount of heat as the extra-extra spicy mei fun. The orange chicken I think had a better overall flavor, and obvious I was happy it had a bit of heat to it instead of being just straight sweet. The chicken itself was a bit stringy though, and I ended up needing to floss after eating because of how it got stuck between my teeth.

    Bug disguised as bourbon chicken

be careful when eating a China moon found a bug in my food and the owner accused me of putting the bug in my food just to return the food, which is Ludacris. This place is very unprofessional and needs to be inspected.

Hey Amei this is what sesame chicken looks like!!!!!

Doesn't look like much when you drive by, but I was extremely hungry. This so called restaurant lacked hospitality and customer service. If you are use to sesame chicken in brown sauce DON'T GO TO CHINA MOON!!! Because they serve sesame chicken in sweet and sour sauce with sesame seeds sprinkled on top!! The food here is awful, the owner Amei is RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL AND DOES NOT DESERVE ANOTHER DIME!!! THIS WAS MY WORSE EXPERINCE EVER. The photo with the take out container is sweet and sour chicken with sesame seed sprinkled on top. NOT SESAME CHICKEN like the second photo. Be careful of what you order because the owner will make you pay for food you don't like, haven't eaten and would not feed to your dog by calling the police.

    China Moon special.

I love this place! The owners and wait staff go out of their way to satisfy. The food is tasty and I LOVE the coconut chicken and the coconut shrimp. The Tom kha kai soup is my favorite. The restaurant is easy to find with lots of parking. Great for take out!

Thai food can sometimes be hit or miss for me, and I'm usually pretty particular about what I order. I don't tend to branch out too much when it comes to Thai food because I already know what I like. But this place definitely impressed me. From the rice dishes to the noodle dishes, everything was seasoned perfectly and packed with flavor. Each bite was delicious, and I really enjoyed how well-balanced all the flavors were. It was the kind of meal where you just keep eating and forget you were supposed to take pictures in the first place! The restaurant itself is spacious and has a really beautiful aesthetic. I loved the combination of the artwork and exposed brick walls. Together, they create this rustic, cozy feel that makes the space feel both stylish and inviting. The ordering process is pretty simple. They give you a menu when you arrive, and then you head up to the register to place your order and pay. The food came out surprisingly quickly, which was definitely a plus because I was hungry! Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here. The food was flavorful, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was quick and easy. I'm glad I decided to give this place a try, and I'd definitely come back to enjoy another meal here.

When I first walked in, it took about five minutes before anyone acknowledged me. Once a waitress finally came over, I explained that I was placing an order to go, so I headed over to the bar area. The bartender greeted me and things started off pretty smoothly until he informed me that all of the cooks had just gone to lunch and it would be about a 20 minute wait before they could even take my order. Normally I probably would've gone somewhere else, but it was getting later in the day and several of the other restaurants in the neighborhood were getting close to closing, so I decided to wait. Once the cooks returned, he took my order, but then I was told their credit card machine was down and they were only accepting cash or Zelle. Luckily, I had cash, so that wasn't a huge problem. However, after paying, I noticed I was shorted about 86 cents in change. When I asked about it, I was told they didn't have any change available. It wasn't enough money for me to make a big deal about, so I just let it go, but it was still another small inconvenience added to the experience. I waited another 20 minutes or so and started noticing food coming out of the kitchen. The bartender brought several to-go orders out and placed them on the counter. After another 10 minutes passed, I finally started wondering where my food was. One of the hostesses asked for my name, checked through the orders sitting on the counter, and sure enough my order had already been sitting there At that point, I was definitely frustrated. It honestly felt like everything that could've gone wrong during my first visit somehow did. Once I got home and finally sat down to eat, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The quality of the food made me understand why people enjoy this place, and I would definitely be willing to give Thai Nola another try. I just really hope my next visit comes with a smoother customer service experience because the food deserves better.
