Crunchy roll & Snow Crab roll

We were so happy to see this new Restaurant open near us! Tonight was our first time and it was amazing! The atmosphere is beautiful with mellow music playing in the background. Daisy our waitress was friendly and attentive. Everything we ordered was delicious! From the Sushi rolls to the Ramen and Moo Goo Gai Pan, we were satisfied above and beyond. Their Boba tea was refreshing as well. Prices were great as well. Highly recommend.

Tonkatsu Ramen

The ramen is great, consistently good and at a great price. The Chinese entrees that we have gotten are huge and delicious, the chicken especially! Great addition to Gentilly.

Cho Cho

Upon entering the staff was very welcoming. Such professionalism and polite. The inside was very clean. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken and Cho Cho. The food was so good and flavorful. I am looking forward to going back next week to try something else.

Rich, layered, and well-balanced with fresh elements that worked together on the plate. For entrées, we had a variety of cuts, including the Australian Wagyu, ribeye, butcher's cut, and lamb chops. The Wagyu stood out immediately. High quality, great sear, and finished tableside, which added to the overall experience without taking away from the food itself. Each steak was cooked precisely to temperature and full of flavor. The lamb chops paired with carrots and brussels were well executed and balanced. The sides complemented the meal well and did not feel like afterthoughts. You can also see their in-house dry aging setup, which speaks to the level of detail they put into their steak program. It shows in the final product. The drinks were solid across the board. The Old Fashioned and bourbon selections paired well with the meal and matched the food's quality. Service by Noelle was attentive and responsive throughout the night. Everything flowed well, and we were taken care of without feeling rushed or hovered over. This is not a casual dinner spot, but for a celebration or a night where you want a full experience, Doris Metropolitan absolutely delivers.

I visited for the first time after receiving several positive recommendations from colleagues, so…read moremy expectations were quite high. Overall, the experience was average and did not fully meet those expectations. The charcuterie and cheese board, priced at $68, was underwhelming in both portion size and value. It included only six thin slices of cured meat and a small selection of cheeses. Unfortunately, one of the cheeses had an unpleasant flavor that made it inedible for our table. The bread service was a highlight, offering a nice variety of breads and accompaniments. The ribeye was cooked well and enjoyable, but it did not stand out from what I've experienced at other upscale steakhouses. The five-cheese couscous was the biggest disappointment, as it lacked the rich, flavorful profile its description suggested. While the service and presentation were appreciated, the overall dining experience did not justify the high expectations or the price point.

This place feels imminently local in a way that's hard to describe until you've been there…read more From the general ambience with patrons dancing while they wait, to the clearly local art present on the walls, you can tell its a place with its roots right here. Despite the overall Asian styling, the food has a distinct twist that makes it far more than "just another Asian restaurant." Its a flavor that's distinctly Hibachi Grill Express without losing the roots of its cuisine. That, and be ready to share it or take it home for later, their portion sizes are no joke. If you're a fan of crab rangoon, know that there's is a little less sweet than the standard fare, but quite worth the experience. No review is complete without touching on its warts, but these are truly subjective. Theres a strong presence of black pepper in their Hibachi Chicken, and the rice dish is rather simple. Theres an argument to be made it doesn't need to be more though, it's solid, filling, and delicious. I'll definitely be back.

Everything I tried here was delicious. Excellent service and great, fresh flavor. All as it should…read morebe. I ordered the rock n roll, tempura appetizer and clear soup. Favorite was probably the tempura--it was perfectly crisp with a balanced blend of veggies and prawns--all crunchy and golden with a savory dipping sauce. The rocknroll was delicious too. I would happily go back to try more menu items. My friend got the dragon roll and honey shrimp, both of which I tried and they were excellent. This is legit, authentic sushi... a very happy find here in New Orleans.

The Official 'Post-John Bar' Pit Stop…read more My friend and I usually find ourselves here once we've had one (or several!) too many drinks at the John Bar across the street. If I'm being completely honest, I have never eaten here without being a little on the "happy-buzzed" side! LOL! The service here is just okay--nothing to scream about (and let's be real, I'm probably not in a state to scream anyway). I'm also unsure if they ever run deals because the vibe always seems so serious and sometimes even a little unwelcoming! Hahaha. But bless the food! I get the rolls here, and they are always so good. The steak and rice I ordered once were decent too. Since the spot isn't too far from the Quarter, I definitely don't expect things to be cheap; it can be a bit pricey for most people. I really stick to the classics: the usual tuna and/or salmon rolls are my go-to. They are the perfect way to cap off a night when you need something solid before the world starts spinning!
