I've been wanting a boba shop in this part of town since the only other boba shops in Redwood City are clustered downtown! Welcome Kung Fu Tea! I've had Kung Fu Tea before and I like its fun colorful atmosphere. I think they have pretty good chewy boba. I do think their drinks tend to be on the sweeter side compared to other shops, so I will try other drinks next time and experiment with 0 or low sugar! I got the rose hip lemonade less sweet with boba. I thought the drink was good but definitely still very sweet even with less sweet, so when I got home I added some water and it was great! I like that this and many other drinks on the menu don't have caffeine since I shouldn't have any late at night. This place is definitely a grab and go place (no seating). I do like that there are two order kiosks so you don't have to wait long to order hopefully. Additionally, the parking lot is very small but usually has 1-2 spots open at night.
Super quick and very yummy! I came in the afternoon on a weekday and I was the only customer there. There's so many choices to pick from! This is a great place to get boba in the area although parking may be difficult if the lot is full.
Came on Super Bowl Sunday and it was packed. Our wait was longer after a big group, but the staff apologized. The S'mores flavor was fun--real graham crackers and marshmallow fluff, super sweet but a bit hard to sip. I'll be back to try the caffeinated flavors!
On 1/16 got to try the new zygarde chocolate pistachio drink and they restocked on the pikachu straw toppers! And got the zygarde acrylic stand! Can't adjust the sweetness.
Kung Fu Tea in Redwood City is elite. From the moment you walk in, the staff is friendly, efficient, and genuinely happy to help you decide. Which is dangerous, because everything sounds amazing. This place is cozy and well designed, love the ambiance there. The drinks are consistently on point, perfect sweetness, strong tea flavor, and boba that's always chewy and fresh (never hard, never mushy). Shoutout to the new Prism Tower Punch, it's absolutely refreshing, fruity, and super vibrant, both in flavor and looks. Easily one of my new go-to drinks and perfect if you want something fun and not too heavy. Service is fast even when it's busy, the shop is clean, and orders come out exactly how you customize them. I've tried classic milk teas, fruit teas, and now the Prism Tower Punch, and they never miss. If you're in Redwood City and craving boba, this Kung Fu Tea is a must. Five stars, no question--already planning my next visit.

This was a rough Kung Fu Tea visit and I know they just opened at this Redwood City location, so I didnt give even lower stars for the visit. However, for a Saturday, they were very under staffed. I waited 45 minutes for 2 drinks. While waiting, there were folks who must have waited longer than me, because they were asking for refunds. One of the drinks that I ordered was missing the add-on boba that cost an additional 80 cents. I know they just opened this month (November 2025) and it takes time to find their rhythm, but seeing 30 people waiting for drinks inside is just unacceptable. I would have docked one more star for false advertising since the kiosk showed plush surprise keychains, but they ended up giving me small plastic keychains. Overall, I wish this visit was better, because I'm a huge fan of Kung Fu Tea.
Finally! Been waiting for Kung Fu Tea to open in our neighborhood - and it's great! The tea is tasty & well-mixed, and the boba tastes fresh with that classic buoyant boba texture - yes! Fun ambiance, with a Photo Booth coming, and with the service you can order via screens inside or with someone at the register. Also well-located with a free parking lot & plenty of street parking. Next to a Dunkin, Japanese curry restaurant, & Thai restaurant too!
We've been waiting since early summer for the new Redwood City Kung Fu Tea, so we were excited to check it out now that it's finally open! Kung Fu Tea (not just this location, but in general) has *great* drink flavors and a ton of options for kids and adults, from lemonades and slushes to tea and espresso beverages. VERY important info for your optimal tea experience: 100% sweetness here (at Kung Fu Tea in general) is ULTRA sweet-I've been to dozens of boba shops, and this has the most intense default sweetness. Most drinks do have adjustable levels, so start with 50-70%. If you prefer less in-your-face sugar levels, do NOT order anything without adjustable sweetness, like the Rosehip Milk Tea (delicious, but so SO sweet). Boba here is fantastic, both as "brown sugar wow" (I think this just means extra syrupy) and regular boba. Perfect bouncy texture and good subtle flavor and sweetness. This location was in soft opening when we went today, so they're still working out the kinks, but they were very friendly and it's clean and bright inside. You can order at the register or on screens inside the store, and they're getting their order ahead app set up this week. You can earn points to get add-ons and drinks. Between my family members, we had (I didn't note ice levels-we always get regular ice level): Espresso Thai Tea 100% sweet w/ brown sugar wow: My teen son loved it. I had a sip and it was tasty. Rosehip Milk Tea, non-adjustable sweetness, regular boba: I got this and the flavor is amazing-tart and floral-but it's so sweet I can't drink it all at once. In the future I'll stick to drinks with adjustable sweetness. I warned my teen daughter about the sweetness ahead of time, but she insisted on getting this one and found it to be too sweet to drink at all! Coconut Milk Tea 100% sweet w/ brown sugar wow: Good flavor, slightly thick, with a very sweet, but not overwhelming sugar level. My daughter tried it and also thought this one was too sweet. Provisional 4 stars, which may be adjusted depending on my next experience, during which we will plan to order our drinks at reduced sweetness levels (except my son, who liked his drink just as it was). Update: I went back and ordered an oolong tea 70% sweet today and it tasted like it had no sugar at all! I actually like a sweet drink, so now I'm not sure what to do next time!

It's about time we have great boba in Redwood City! This was my first time trying Kung Fu Tea, and it did not disappoint. The tea was refreshing, and the lychee jelly was fresh with the perfect texture and consistency - you can taste the quality of the ingredients. I appreciated that the store offers both self-order kiosks and the option to speak with an actual person. We had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, Drew, who was friendly, outgoing, and welcoming - it made the experience feel even more personal. A fun bonus was the gacha machine with cute toys, which added a playful touch. We ordered two drinks, and I drank most of mine during the five-minute ride home, which is a true testimony to how delicious it was. Thank you again, Drew. This truly made our Saturday night!

I spend wayyyy too much money on boba and Kung Fu Tea is definitely not helping my addiction! I've been to other stores years ago and thought their drinks were just okay, but I'm glad I gave it another shot. We got their passion fruit green tea and Thai iced tea, both 30% sugar and light ice. The Thai iced tea has that nice toasty flavor and is suuuuper easy to drink and their passion fruit is so refreshing. What stands out to me the most is their BOBA!!!!! It has the perfect chew imo and the drink to boba ratio is very balanced. I would just eat a full cup of their boba if I could (I shouldn't). Aside from their yummy drinks, the people working there are always friendly and the store is very clean! Just be aware that parking can be a challenge and that there are no tables and chairs. Very glad we have this place right near our house. Woohoo! My daughter insisted on a 5 star review for them asap. I saw their banner for bingsu and promised my daughter that for helping me with some errands. When we got in, I saw they only had it available for order after 6 but the staff was kind enough to offer making it for us anyways! Much appreciated as they definitely went out of their way to make our day! The store is a couple benches seating and ordering appears to be kiosk first but staff are happy to help. They have lots of cute trinkets, stuffies for sale and claw machines to play while waiting which was a nice touch. The store feels clean and bright, not stuffy or sticky like many bbt places. As for the bingsu, it was very good!! They packed it up with a pull tab can lid and was still cold when we got home. Loaded with all the toppings- fruit, egg pudding, red bean, herbal jelly, all the Asian dessert yums. Will be back!! read more

Hi neighbors! We discovered an awesome boba place My son went right at closing time, but the owner kindly made drinks for us anyway--and we even received a 2026 Bible verse. After we left, we realized we had forgotten our phone. Even though the store was already closed, the owner answered our call, came back from his house, reopened the store, and let us pick it up. I felt I should share this so everyone knows there's a truly special place worth checking out. Highly recommend stopping by and enjoying some of the warmest, most special boba drinks around. Seriously this is one of the best spots in all of the Bay Area. It's brand new on Woodside. I walked in the other day to get a Thai tea. The owner of the place gives me a sample of something called a Caribbean breeze slushy oh my God, you guys this is amazing seriously it's a must try. Also, the Dubai chocolate chocolate truffle is a amazing. It's a must have love this place. New favorite spot a daily must have! read more

Best boba tea in Redwood City and peninsula! I have tried most of the boba places in the greater bay area and the quality is top tier at Kung Fu Tea. I had the pleasure of speaking to the owner and they put so much care into your cup. We enjoyed the fun atmosphere and aesthetic while our drinks were being prepared.
