Just an update to the last review. This diner consistently is top notch. Again, I will review the hot turkey, one of my favorite dinners that I use to judge all diners and anyone that offers the hot turkey sandwich or dinner. They say I make an excellent thanksgivin, so I'm always on the quest for an excellent one out when I am not doing it myself. The hot turkey dinner: this is real turkey, homemade gravy, real mashed potatoes. The turkey is on top of very tasty stuffing, or dressing. A mixture of dark and light breads, excellent seasoning. Cranberry sauce. Carrot was the vegetable that evening and these are fresh vegetables, not canned carrots, cooked perfectly, not raw, not mush. I would have had one of their delicious soups, but I was trying to be good. So the salad was a mesclun greens salad with cucumbers, homemade croutons. This was nice, it was not just iceberg, which many diners have. I had coffee, also delicious. Took it to go. The cookies and desserts looked great, but I don't dare. The stuffing and potatoes were my carb issue for the day. Eat here and know you will have a delicious homemade and wholesome meal. A must stop on your way down or up 17. Next door is their Twin Cone, their dairy bar. Also excellent, but I have to temper myself. No cone today. But don't let that stop You! :)

Second time and just as good both times. Service is outstanding. Food terrific. Prices well within line. Great place to eat especially if you are heading to Resorts World. Plus a piece blueberry and cherry pie to go!!! Right now looks strange because a truck plowed into the front but renovations are being done.

Huge filled plates of yummy breakfast food.

Diner food is an American staple, and this place is an original! Fresh hot coffee served the moment you sit down, served in traditional diner mugs. A great breakfast menu, from 6:00AM - 11:00AM daily, with great food for "breaking fast." Never did lunch or dinner here, but I would bet it is just as good, with big plates of traditional Americana food. Easy to get to right off of route 17. Stop in when you are down this way, you won't be unhappy with this stop.

I was traveling from Liberty, N Y when the lunch hour was approaching. Coming down Route 17, through the Catskills I noticed signs for the Quickway Diner. Now this diner has been around for ever. I remember seeing it in the days when we would spend weekends at our favorite Catskills resort, The Nevele. Well I was in a hurry to get back home so I pulled off the highway for this diner. It's one of those "easy off easy on" places. Looks like the diner may have gone through some outside renovations. Inside is a typical diner. I explained to my waitress that I was in a hurry. Before I knew it my burger was on my table, with fries and pickles. Again I was in a big hurry so unfortunately I woofed my lunch down Lickity split. Before I'm finished my bill appears on the table. In the end food was average, but to be fair I went with a quick burger when there were several other selections. The service, impeccable. I appreciated how fast my food was delivered and the bill as well. I'll be up that way next week on another project and plan to make sure I have enough time to enjoy one if there specials. I'll be there Tuesday. Why don't you join me, my treat.

    Pita in the morning... Yummy!!!

Wham! Bam! Thank you Ma'am! So, upon our departure from Resorts World in the Catskills heading down 17, we saw signs for this Diner and it boasted it had the Best Cup O' Joe in these parts! So, being hungry and jones'n for a cup, we ventured into this little gem. As soon as we entered, many a "Good Morning" was stated to us and I loved the old feel of the Diner. Calling them very friendly is putting it lightly. If you're looking for the glitz and glamor, bells and whistles, you won't find that here.. What you do find is an old school diner, serving old school food at old school prices. So, without further ahh-due... Pro's: - Fast, Friendly Service. - Awesome priced food and you most certainly get bang for your buck here! I ordered their Pita in the Morning: Scramble Eggs, Tomatoes, Mushrooms & Melted Swiss Cheese folded into a Pita Bread, served with Home Fries. Served piping hot and very yummy! Pita tasted like it just came out of the oven...Very fresh! Make sure you ask to try their homemade hot sauce! - Check in here on Yelp! and your Cup O' Joe is "For the Free!" And I do have to say, it was one dayum good Cup of the Joe..... - Easy off and on the highway as well. Con's: - None... .. In closing, this will be our place for breakfast when in town - and let me add.. If you're staying at Resorts or anywhere else and you don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a meal, make the short trip here. You won't be disappointed. Hell, I could see me making the hour or so trip here just for a meal... Very Highly Recommended!

We ordered the blueberry double-stacked pancakes (which the waitress sweetly put a smiley face on), a side of bacon, and a few omelettes- with bacon and cheese and another with sausage. Both came with home fries. Everything was hot, filling, and exactly what you want from a classic diner breakfast. The bacon was a standout! crispy and delicious (had to order an extra side). Coffee for the grown-ups and a hot cocoa rounded things out perfectly. Friendly service, comforting food, and those little touches like the smiley face on the pancakes made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. A great spot for a relaxed breakfast.

When you're here you know what you're going to get out of the establishment. We were given seats at the bar promptly, we were served water early and were asked for our orders at a timely manner. Everyone behind the counter was helpful to us. As I admired their work it was easy to see how Tilly's has remained a local favorite. The continuous boots on the ground - foot traffic of bussing tables, serving food, taking orders - was all calculated chaos. At the heart of it all was the food that came at a reasonable time and the conversations you had with local neighbors and customers who sat near you. The French toast was delicious, not too sweet but the syrup was aplenty. The omelette was seasoned well, packed with flavor. However the potatoes were serviceable at best. The Tilly's Waitress Special was the quintessential breakfast meal. Tilly's left us satisfied and full

I opted for the Challah French toast deluxe. This was 3 slices of French toast and sausage, bacon and ham. The waitress then asked me what type of eggs I wanted. I said I wasn't aware that eggs came with (not listed on the menu) this so I opted for scrambled to bring home to my dog. The coffee has an off putting taste, almost acidic. Okay, not everyone cleans their coffee makers well. Hubby said his omelette was okay but the potatoes lacked any flavor. My French toast was good and the sausage links were okay, however, the bacon and ham definitely tasted "off" I didn't bother taking it home for my dog because if it wasn't good, I wouldn't want him to get sick. Anyway - okay, it was a mediocre breakfast but what really ticked me off was when I looked at the check and a $3 charge was added for the 2 eggs I didn't even want. I'm not sure if the waitress was new and not familiar with the menu but -wow. Take from this what you will, I'm just giving you an honest review of our breakfast at 8:45 on a Wednesday morning. It's a very unpretentious little place and maybe they were just having an off day.

My visit on August 30, 2025, left me with the kind of satisfaction that only a solid diner experience can deliver--one that makes you want to return just to try more of the menu. To start, the garlic bread with marinara was exactly what you'd hope for in diner comfort food: warm, golden-brown edges with just the right crunch on the outside and a soft, buttery center. The garlic wasn't overwhelming, and dipping it into the tangy marinara added that classic, crave-worthy touch. It was the kind of simple appetizer that sets the right tone for what's to come. The Santa Fe Wrap was a highlight--grilled chicken cooked to a juicy tenderness, paired with creamy avocado that balanced beautifully against the smoky bacon. The cheddar added sharpness, while the lettuce and tomato kept it fresh and crisp. It's a hearty, flavor-packed wrap that manages to feel indulgent without being heavy, something you could happily order for either lunch or dinner. On the spicier side, the Buffalo Chicken Wrap brought a zesty kick. The buffalo sauce was bold and tangy, just spicy enough to wake up the taste buds without overwhelming them. The blue cheese inside mellowed the heat, adding a cool creaminess that tied the whole wrap together. Each bite felt satisfying, with the wrap itself holding everything neatly--a small detail, but an important one when you're eating something saucy and bold. Service throughout the meal was friendly and efficient, with staff that seemed genuinely attentive without being overbearing. The diner itself has that cozy, casual atmosphere you want in a local spot--welcoming and lively without being too noisy. Value-wise, the generous portions and solid flavors made the price point feel more than fair. Overall, I'd give New Munson Diner a strong 4 stars--a reliable, tasty stop with plenty of menu options to keep you coming back. The wraps in particular stand out as fresh, flavorful choices, and paired with a shareable appetizer like the garlic bread, you've got yourself a diner meal that's both comforting and satisfying.
