Service is great and staff are very welcoming. I ordered a lunch special, which was fries and a half of a turkey sandwich with coleslaw. Everything was good, but the turkey sandwich is served on toasted bread of your choice and comes dry. I had to ask for mayonnaise which I think should've been provided on the dish. I ordered a roast chicken special with stuffing and a baked potato which was mostly ok, but the stuffing was unusual and unappetizing My husband got the Reuben sandwich, which he said was "ok" My son got the open-faced meatloaf sandwich which was big and covered in gravy. He seemed to like it but left a lot on the plate which is rare for him. We decided to split one slice of coconut cream pie among the three of us and it was honestly inedible. My server was too scared to ask me if I wanted something different or even to take the food I sent back off the check because her boss had "yelled at her enough today." So she told me to talk to him myself about getting my food taken off. Once I did he was extremely rude. He thought I was lying about not eating the food. He blames it on the server even though the cooks are the ones to blame. He then lied and said he took everything off, told me one number before I went back to the table.Then told my boyfriend who paid, a higher amount. Your food wouldn't get sent back if you actually cared about how you cooked it. Instead of trying to give people food poisoning with low quality, rotten ingredients. Just an update to the last review. This diner consistently is top notch. Again, I will review the hot turkey, one of my favorite dinners that I use to judge all diners and anyone that offers the hot turkey sandwich or dinner. They say I make an excellent thanksgivin, so I'm always on the quest for an excellent one out when I am not doing it myself. The hot turkey dinner: this is real turkey, homemade gravy, real mashed potatoes. The turkey is on top of very tasty stuffing, or dressing. A mixture of dark and light breads, excellent seasoning. Cranberry sauce. Carrot was the vegetable that evening and these are fresh vegetables, not canned carrots, cooked perfectly, not raw, not mush. I would have had one of their delicious soups, but I was trying to be good. So the salad was a mesclun greens salad with cucumbers, homemade croutons. This was nice, it was not just iceberg, which many diners have. I had coffee, also delicious. Took it to go. The cookies and desserts looked great, but I don't dare. The stuffing and potatoes were my carb issue for the day. Eat here and know you will have a delicious homemade and wholesome meal. A must stop on your way down or up 17. On April 16, 2025 I went to eat at the Quickway Dinner. It was awful. I had chicken tenders and french fries. The chicken taste old, it wasn't fresh. Cups, plates and utensils are not washed well. They have like prior food smell on them. Very nasty. I give them 0 rating. The post rating won't allow me to give them a 0. Still feeling the effects of that chicken. Will never go back there again. Make sure you carry your Pepto Bismol your going to need it. read more

Horrible! Unfortunately we were so hungry and had been driving from Canada and came upon this dump. Paper thin frozen Hamburger served with old grease and I don't know what my husband was thinking getting the prime rib but I guess grey is a color for beef . I'm sorry but the coffee and soda was the best thing of our meal. The waitress was annoying and the entire time we were there she and her boss were arguing. Dirty! The place was dirty. Made a breakfast stop on the way back from kartrite. Right off the highway so decided to grab a bite. Wasn't expecting much but the service, food, and pricing was surprisingly good. My family loved it, waitress knew what my kids would like and I loved their homemade hash (taste healthier than the can but in a good way). Diner food is an American staple, and this place is an original! Fresh hot coffee served the moment you sit down, served in traditional diner mugs. A great breakfast menu, from 6:00AM - 11:00AM daily, with great food for "breaking fast." Never did lunch or dinner here, but I would bet it is just as good, with big plates of traditional Americana food. Easy to get to right off of route 17. I was traveling from Liberty, N Y when the lunch hour was approaching. Coming down Route 17, through the Catskills I noticed signs for the Quickway Diner. Now this diner has been around for ever. I remember seeing it in the days when we would spend weekends at our favorite Catskills resort, The Nevele. Well I was in a hurry to get back home so I pulled off the highway for this diner. It's one of those "easy off easy on" places. Looks like the diner may have gone through some outside renovations. Inside is a typical diner. I explained to my waitress that I was in a hurry. Before I knew it my burger was on my table, with fries and pickles. Again I was in a big hurry so unfortunately I woofed my lunch down Lickity split. Before I'm finished my bill appears on the table. In the end food was average, but to be fair I went with a quick burger when there were several other selections. The service, impeccable. I appreciated how fast my food was delivered and the bill as well. I'll be up that way next week on another project and plan to make sure I have enough time to enjoy one if there specials. First time customers and liked that I could order online for pickup. So disappointed and won't be back. Got our food home and realized we didn't get the correct things or all of our food. The ham steak dinner was supposed to come with a salad or soup. Ordered a salad and didn't get it. Also ordered mashed potatoes and got soggy fries instead.... Wanted to try this place after hearing their commercials and driving by once a week. Brought a friend and we wanted to splurge so ordered the strip steak. Big mistake, it was half fat, too thin to get it med rare and tougher than shoe leather. Complained to the waitress and politely showed her and she agreed so she took both plates away and asked if we wanted something else instead. We both ordered burgers, they were ok, we ate them, we were hungry. I will say the onion rings were very good and the soup was decent but cold. Can't really comment on the veggies that came with the steaks because we never got them. The bill came , they charged us for one steak dinner!!! Update: 2/10/17 Stopped for breakfast and once again had an excellent dining experience. Stopped off at the Quickway Diner for breakfast on my way to the Villa Roma... The diner is right off the quickly and easily accessible off the main road. A big parking lot makes it easy too. Walking into this diner is a treat... The staff immediately recognized our entry, said hello with a big smile and seated us. When the waitress came over and said "hello" she made my wife and I feel like we had been long time customers here. You can tell the regulars as they come in, sit down and without a doubt seem like family to the team here. A simple breakfast of eggs and 'homemade hash' and 'well-done bacon and eggs' was PERFECT.... I make a big deal about this since no-one seems to get it right. The homemade hash is delicious with big pieces of corned beef and very tasty potatoes. The well-done bacon was just that... well done crispy, meaty and not dried out. Our waitress was incredibly pleasant and really helps a dining experience... breakfast lunch or dinner. My family ordered both the French dip meal and the French dip panini. The 3 French dips were dry and normally a French dip comes with cheese however these were plain and cold. The au jus on the side is supposed to be brown and this looked like orange grease in a cup. The roast beef is supposed to be thin and this was not. I asked the waitress for a cup for the gravy and was gave me the wrong cover for the gravy and her response was "my bad". I ordered upon sitting down since my husband was fueling our truck and checking our trailer tires. He came in to eat and our drinks were still not out. And you can forget about about WIFi service. Zero connectivity at all which would have been a great idea to write a review before we left but no WiFi to do so. guess you can call the quick way for one reason, quick way in and a quick way out of our stomachs as the food made me sick. Now it's a quick way to lose business. So you the owner wants to comment as to why we took it to go? The answer is I wanted to show it to people and the funny part is you say that people have allergies to dairy yet? Your Panini friendship comes with cheese how do you explain that one? Then a young man came from the back (assuming your son) and seated us. We sat there for about 5 minutes, not acknowledged at all. We came here about 2 years ago. There were about 3 customers, yet food took forever and it was very plain. Wasn't happy. We went back about 3 weeks ago to try again due to the pressure of their commercials. Regretted it right away. The place was packed with slow service, coffee and food had a strange taste like it was made with some heavy metal town water. It was so loud I couldn't have a conversation with my family at the small table. Tables are so close together that the people around you constantly knock your jacket off the back and you need to hold your personal belongings. I was pushed out of the way by a female worker. Now that I see your response about my issues with the two visits. The fact that you responded with no concern about being pushed and only defended your food is quite the issue. By the way, when I was pushed I was carrying my 6 year old daughter because of how busy it was and they didn't say sorry either, didn't even look back. We will not be returning. read more

You aren't going to find a better Diner for a 100 mile radius. Besides the food being good, there were a lot of choices. Omelettes, eggs, french toast, pan cakes etc. They also have turkey bacon. What I really liked was that in addition to having a short stack of pan cakes, they had a short french toast (2), which I had. I book marked this place...we're eating here every year after our Villa Roma trip. I rated it a 5....if you rated it less then 4, I really don't know what you are looking for. Definitely on the low end of all I've ever had. The staff left much to be desired. One waitress was leaving early and the person who was filling in for her was clearly not happy and in an awful mood.
