Stopped here while on a road trip with some friends and it was your good local diner. It is located near a busy shopping area so there is plenty of parking. Inside and out it has your typical diner feel. The menu is large with just about everything. The service and prices were what you would expect for a diner. The parking lot was full so we expected a wait. We went inside and received a cheery "Good morning!" from Anne, the hostess and other staff creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere that continued for our entire meal. To our pleasant surprise, we were seated immediately and quickly greeted by our waitress Kimberly. Our food was cooked and presented exactly as requested. It arrived hot and with another coffee for my husband. Kimberly was excellent throughout the meal, checking with us at just the right times. The food was delicious. My husband and I were well pleased. We had not eaten at the Americana Diner in over 10 years and everything from the decor, cleanliness, staff, and food were much better than we remembered. Went to the Americana diner on Monday January 26 2026 for breakfast. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and home fries. How disgusting it was - There was a dark hair in my plate. I have the habit of moving my food around to check and there it was a long black hair. I felt bad for the waitress she was very nice. And she felt horrible about it. She could not stop saying I'm so sorry Now the lady that stands up front with the limp has always been so nice and this time she wasn't-- she was annoyed I complained about the hair. Just done with the diner will never go again - a man walks in with a dog in his man. It wasn't a service dog and she said nothing about it. When my husband brung it to her attention she was very rude. The place should be renovated. It's a mess. I can't imagine how it looks where they store the foods how it can look. First time here and I ordered a blt which came with pickles, fries, and coleslaw. Everything was made perfectly and they did not simp on the bacon. Pancakes were good as well. I would've liked a little more flavor on the pancake since it tasted just like batter but it was made to perfection. Location was pretty spacious we had a party of 6 and they were able to accommodate us pretty quick. The waiter was super nice and always making sure we had everything we need. I got greeted immediately, but had to wait for seat, it was very busy here and let me tell the waitresses here really bus hard here, always running around taking orders clearing plates and dropping off people orders. Sort felt like watching cars drive around on a busy intersection. The portions here are very generous, that is very much true, had a hamburger, scrambled eggs toast and home fries for $13, elsewhere it would been almost $20 easy. Bit disappointed the hamburger was cooked well done, when I asked for medium, otherwise well seasoned and eggs were fluffy, toast had a lot butter, the home fries, were seasoned well, but could been more crispy. Otherwise a very filling breakfast to start the day, and the staff here were very friendly despite the rush. Even though the parking lot was full, the place is big and we got in right away. My beautiful fiancé had the Irish skillet. Corn beef, hash potatoes mixed together in several cheeses and two eggs over so yummy. I love the food here when I come with my boys. Kim was my waitress the last few times I sat. We had exceptional customer service With her, combined with the sweetest personality. When I come I look forward to having her as my waitress. A few people I know have mentioned her after a night of partying and we all know that could be alot, yet she took care of my friends regardless of how hard it could be to deal with loopy or hungover people lol. This is exactly what we need in diners and restaurants. It's hard to find good waitresses that don't have nasty attitudes and ruin the sit down experience for you. My husband & I eat here at least 5 times a week. The variety & portion sizes are amazing. We have also held events with family & business associates in their back room. Long wait before we had gotten our food. Easy 45 mins. Waitress never came back to check on us while we waited and never bothered to come around after we got our meals. Food was good and portion size was decent. First diner I came across that charged me a surcharge for using a debit card. I don't want to hear about the company charges you. That is part of your BOC (business operrating cost) just like electric water, kitchen supplies etc. What's next? are you going to ask a surcharge when you have to turn up the AC in the summer or heat in the winter? or the electricity being used in the light over my table? My wife and I went to this Diner to meet family and we were completely disappointed with the food. My wife ordered a mediterranean Panini. The chicken in the panini was spoiled and we had to ask the waiter to take it back. My wife ordered turkey burger and mainly ate the fries. The rest of the table barely touched their food. This diner served me inedible food. I ordered the Moussaka to go. When I got home the top of it was like a rock. It must have been heated too long in the microwave at the diner. When I called to tell them about it they said I had to bring it back in order to get something else. I told them that I already threw it into the garbage. Their response was to me was very rude and argumentative. They said, " it's too bad and that I would have to bring it back or they do nothing for me."
