I came here to pick up a chicken bento box on a rainy day. They were very quick from the time I placed my order to getting it in my hands. Total wait time was about 3 mins. I am very impressed with their speed but I am also very impressed with the food. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The noodles were chewy just the way I like them. This yelp review is coming live from the toilet seat. My manager warned me about this location. I was foolish enough to dismiss her warnings because I've had good experiences at the Fairfax Quickway. I ordered the shrimp and salmon meal and off the bat the salmon smelled funny. The rice was stale and the noodles stiff. The yum yum sauce was so watered down and runny it should've been renamed to run run sauce. None of that even matters compares to the severe stomach pain I'm going through right now. read more

It was clear that they had a large carryout business. On the positive side, the menu is extensive; more extensive than the Quickway at the FairOaks Mall. I usually order from here often and have no problems, last night i placed an order through uber because i wouldn't have made it before closing. When i Recieved my food there was no teriyaki sauce or onions on it. Food was absolutely tasteless. i'm not sure if it's because they were rushing to close or not. I then asked for a side of onions while i was grabbing my order from him and again he told me no. said "there are none" while the bucket of onions sat between us. When we arrived for dinner several people had been served and were waiting for their meals. We walked up to the counter where the guy was working at an iPad and we stood their about 3 minutes to get acclimated to the spartan surroundings and the menu, and then we asked the counter man if he would take our order. He kept typing and said he was putting in online orders so we waited another 5-6 minutes until he took our orders. We asked the difference between dishes and he seemed annoyed without questions. We ordered our food and as we sat to eat the restaurant emptied and we kept getting harsh looks even though it wasn't yet closing time! While the food was fine, I for one will not be back soon, nor will i recommend this place to others. If you call ahead of time your order is ready for pick up within 10 minutes usually. Depending on how busy it is inside ordering it's 10-15mins. Location/Parking easy to find, right off Centerville Road (rt 228) & Sterling Rd. In the same shopping center as Fresh World. There is plenty of parking. Staff It is hard to hear them sometimes when ordering at the location during busy hours but they do have a mic/speaker to help with that. Other than that staff is always pleasant. Inside the inside is small with a few places to sit while you wait for your order. It is set up as a grab and go. They do have a few outdoor seating as well. I'm used to going for hibachi as a elaborate show dinner event... they focus on that style of food that is affordable but alas no show... okay so I'll pretend there is a onion volcano as the smells from the cooking evoke the memories.... We both opted for bento boxes which comes with 4 pieces of California roll, 2 chicken dumplings, 2 spring rolls... you also get a choice if white rice, fried rice, or noodles.... and a choice of a garden salad or mixed veggies (cabbage, broccoli) Hubby got the beef and shrimp combo ... lots of tender beef and small shrimp both nicely cooked... he opted for salad and white rice I got the salmon which was very tasty and I opted for fried rice and the veggies Overall we were happy with what we got and a value at their pricing IMO MY NEGATIVES They are a pepsi shop and we both prefer coke... also wish the condiments of soy and sirachi were on the tables for those eating in as opposed to just by the soda machine.... lots of ups and down till you have what u want... they were also hit and miss about adding wasabi and ginger (hubby got but I didn't) so check your orders. Hubby doesn't do chicken so I got his dumplings which were tasty. This place is noisy annoying... Perfect grab-and-go spot during your typical work day. In one sentence: you can literally leave within 10min with a fancy bento box for under $10. I visited their location at Fair Oaks mall before and the quality and format is pretty comparable. It's not a fancy sit-down restaurant for sure, but the value of what you can get is incredible. For just ~$7 you can get a chicken hibachi with huge quantity, and for ~$10 you can get a bento box with 2 dumplings & 2 spring rolls, 4 pieces of California roll, cooked veggies or salad, and teriyaki on rice with a meat of your choice. I've only gotten the teriyaki chicken so far and I love the slight crisp of caramelization on the outside of the pieces while the inside is still juicy. I never end up finishing my meal and will always end up with leftovers for dinner. The store is always kept very clean and you can see your food being freshly made as your tray moves through the "assembly line" across the counter. The first time we went to Quickway pre-covid I was quite impressed as the food was fresh and tasty. More recently we stopped by and ordered the salmon/chicken combo and the salmon/beef combo. Seems like there have been a few changes as there was very little beef and the salmon looked like some white fish. Didn't really taste like salmon either. The veggies are predominately cabbage with a sprinkle of broccoli. Wasn't very impressed when compared to Sarku or Bento House up the street in Reston. Well, the good thing is parking. This shares parking with Guapo and other establishments but still very accessible. The quality of the food is OK but the service is worse. No one is smiling as if they are not happy to be working at all. The cashier looks annoyed and snappy. He stared at me at a condescending way. The place is filthy and there are boxes on pile along the hallway that is a hazard and a sore eye. Even the lady that was giving the food is grumpy. I was at Guapo's the previous night but noticed this smaller Japanese place next door, so I decided I would try this too the next night. Both Guapo's and Quickway are on one side of a shopping center parking lot, so parking is more than ample. Quickway's counter setup looks a lot like one of those mall food court Sarku vendors but it is in a restaurant. This works to Quickway's advantage because although I do like that kind of food now and then, I'm never too fond of the crowds at a mall food court. We ordered from Quickway the other night. We like to support local restaurants and were in the mood for hibachi but didn't want to spend over $100 on the more expensive local hibachi. Quickway was much more budget friendly and everything was delicious. We all got the hibachi chicken with fried rice. We also got spring rolls and dumplings which were tasty. I added salmon to my meal and it was cooked well and delicious. There was nothing that we didn't like. We also got sides of yummy sauce and teriyaki sauce which they gave us plenty of and complimented the meal nicely. It was an excellent quality for the money as the portion were large. We have a whole container of leftovers that we can have for lunch so we are getting two meals out of our order. I also want to mention that it was packed well and they got everything on our order correct.
