Honestly, for a quick cheap meal it's pretty good quality! No complaints. I liked my food and nothing felt too greasy. I also got the spring rolls and dumplings.

HERNDON, VA 10/09/19 LUNCH +Quick service restaurant with various westernized Japanese food options. +The entree portions to price is good. -No loyalty rewards program or mobile app. -Poor ventilation which causes your clothes to smell and face feels greasy, the rest of your day. -They could go a little lighter on the oil.

我真的很失望。你们会煮米饭吗? 太难吃!就算免费的,狗都不会吃。 This is the second time I've had a bad experience here. LEARN HOW TO COOK RICE. Either they undercooked the steamed rice terribly or they gave me steamed rice from the other night because it was DRY and stale. Also they were probably too lazy to cook steamed rice this morning. I wanted to return the food but it's a waste of my time. I've been to other Quickway Hibachis that are 10x better than this location. Just ate little chicken only on top and threw away the rest.

Perfect grab-and-go spot during your typical work day. In one sentence: you can literally leave within 10min with a fancy bento box for under $10. I visited their location at Fair Oaks mall before and the quality and format is pretty comparable. It's not a fancy sit-down restaurant for sure, but the value of what you can get is incredible. For just ~$7 you can get a chicken hibachi with huge quantity, and for ~$10 you can get a bento box with 2 dumplings & 2 spring rolls, 4 pieces of California roll, cooked veggies or salad, and teriyaki on rice with a meat of your choice. I've only gotten the teriyaki chicken so far and I love the slight crisp of caramelization on the outside of the pieces while the inside is still juicy. I never end up finishing my meal and will always end up with leftovers for dinner. The store is always kept very clean and you can see your food being freshly made as your tray moves through the "assembly line" across the counter. High recommend if you want to treat yourself to a fancier lunch but for a fair price and fast speed.

This location, however, has plenty of parking and ample indoor seating, making it much more comfortable and convenient. We've visited this location about four times already, and Greg has been our server every time. They were extremely accommodating and always on top of everything. Also, thank you for the adorable plushie! I loved the usage of paned window walls to let in more natural sunlight, allowing for a vibrant and warm visit sitting inside. Notes: Wasn't the biggest fan of the pink lady roll; thought the usage of soybean paper was unique but the texture was off. The end piece of my rainbow roll only having cucumber was also disappointing. The hot bar selections and sushi rolls were decent but nothing to write home to. HOWEVER, the large selection of quality sashimi cuts included in the dinner AYCE with great portions was the best part. Most restaurants would offer it as a la carte or give small cuts/selections so was pleasantly surprised. Service wise wasn't the happiest with where I was seated as the floor was still wet but the servers had to trek over it as well (should've been more adamant on sitting elsewhere).

We ultimately enjoyed our meal and will likely try it again the next time we need a change of pace from our go-to spot. The menu possesses a vast array of rolls, the majority of which hover between $15-18. Seeing the prices of the rolls and not knowing what to expect, we ended up ordering six, which ended up as too much food for the two of us. We found the rolls all well constructed and with generous quantities of the fish. The rice itself was passable. The sliced fish quality was decent, and we found the salmon and tuna particularly fresh. The "spicy" fish in the rolls left something to be desired in both the degree of spice/seasoning as well as freshness. The rolls all could have used a bit more saucing, but we enjoyed them nonetheless. The prices here are very reasonable, especially if you order online which yields a 10% discount. My order was prepared more or less on time. Overall, we liked what we sampled and will return in the near future to sample more rolls. Kumo does not quite supplant our usual sushi spot, but it's a welcome addition to a takeout rotation and worth a shot for roll lovers.

When Kusshi opened, we gave it some time to settle in. We were here on a Sunday for an early dinner. Even though we arrived early (around 4 p.m.), a few tables were already occupied. As we entered the place, a party of four was right behind us. So it seems popular. After looking at what was available (the menu is a la carte), we placed our orders. We started with our drink orders. I ordered a hot cup of genmaicha, only to be told they were all out--bad news on such a cold day. The server offered to bring me a hot cup of barley water, which I declined and stuck with tap water. My husband ordered a Kirin Light beer. For an appetizer, we chose shishito peppers, and we both ordered miso soup. The sizable portion of peppers was well-grilled and flavored. Shishitos are tricky. For the most part, they are mild peppers. However, like Anaheim peppers, sometimes a hot pepper shows up. The first two I ate, oh...they were hot. The rest were mild. We ordered miso soup. It arrived steaming hot. It was excellent. It was a larger serving than what most Japanese restaurants provide. It had a generous amount of tofu and green onions. It was almost a meal in itself. For my main course, I chose a "rainbow roll" which consists of: "California roll with tuna, salmon, and yellowtail". It was a very generous-sized roll, well assembled. The wasabi and ginger portion was quite adequate. A bottle of low-sodium soy sauce is placed on the table. I really enjoyed this roll. My husband ordered the "Teriyaki dinner" which consists of "grilled protein, stir-fried seasonal vegetables served with steamed rice and teriyaki sauce. The choice of proteins are chicken, salmon, or shrimp. He chose chicken. It was quite a sizable portion, so we took some home to have for lunch the next day. At one point during the meal, our server brought us each a cup of hot barley water (to make up for not having hot tea). Since barley doesn't agree with me, I passed on it. Overall, the service was very friendly and efficient. The vibe definitely says "Japanese restaurant" with the decor and the requisite sushi bar. One drawback is the sound level. And, yes, we will go again.
