Good sushi and can accommodate for sesame allergies. I have been to Matsutake Sushi and Sake Bar several times. I have done walk-in and made a reservation both of which typically had a good amount of availability. The restaurant is a good size with plenty of parking. There is also a drive through pick-up option which I found to be unique and a nice option. In terms of food, the sushi is great, and the pieces are on larger side of what you might typically find at a sushi restaurant. I recommend trying the "Hamachi" but there are many other good options. Additionally, the restaurant was able to accommodate for sesame allergies which makes Matsutake Sushi and Sake Bar a great option if a member of your party has a similar allergy. Overall, I would recommend stopping by Matsutake Sushi and Sake Bar for sushi whether you are picking-up or dining-in.

Service is great the food is amazing, we got the bento boxes for lunch and had a sushi roll as the appetizer it was perfect everything came out so fast they even box your food up for you when your done! Excellent service we will be returning. If you are a big sushi fan I would definitely recommend and if your not a sushi person they have a good amount of entrées you can choose from great environment and relaxing place for lunch or dinner.

    Tamago and Salmon nigiri

My experience here was just OK. The server seemed rushed and she took a while to actually come to my table after seating me. When she finally came she took my order and cut me off as I was reading it off to ask if I wrote it on the a la carte paper instead. I ordered one roll, two nigiri, a hot tea and water. My two nigiri came out well before I ever got water. I didn't get water for nearly 20 minutes (I was checking the time). The nigiri was very tasty, and the salmon pieces were huge. My roll was just OK. It was a broiled roll and they left it in for too long. The top was burned and the fish was overcooked and dry. The roll fell apart when I tried to pick up a piece with my chopsticks. Overall a meh experience and I am not sure I ever need to come back.

This spot HIT the spot when I was craving sushi. I really enjoyed the intimate ambiance, delicious food, and good service. We ordered the Double Decker, Poke Roll, and the hybrid roll. Everything was super flavorful and delicious. I'm a big tuna lover so these spicy tuna rolls all were unique which I appreciated. Sometimes I go to places and all the tuna rolls taste the same. The rolls were big and stuffed! Three rolls were perfect for both my bf and I. I was stuffed after eating. The food came out fairly fast upon ordering. The ambiance wasn't very fancy or too casual. I will deff be going back.

My girlfriend and I wanted sushi for dinner last week and wanted to go somewhere that was new to us. We had no idea that the shopping center this restaurant is in even existed. So it was a nice find. The sushi here was actually very good. It was a little more per roll, but each roll was loaded up with fish so it makes the extra money worth it. I would definitely come back for the sushi here. I would recommend against the bao buns. They were just alright when compared to other restaurants. I would say that the service here was good. The sushi came out pretty quickly and the waitress took our order quickly. Do make a note that we came later at night (after 8:30 pm I think) so it wasn't very busy. The ambiance is very much older feeling. It feels like they took the space of an old Wendy's or something of that nature. It's super casual in here and I don't think anyone comes here for the ambiance. There are a couple of TVs though and they were playing a replay of Thursday Night Football so there's that. I recommend coming here if you want good sushi. If you want more experience and ambiance, then this may not be the place.

Left torched salmon with truffle and right scallop sushi (2 piece each)

This restaurant deserves all the rave. It is a little more expensive, but the quality is shockingly great: a friend of mine had taken pictures and dined at this establishment, and it looked so delicious that I simply had to try it for myself. Make sure you check the website for hours. I ordered the torched salmon sushi that came with two pieces and had a truffle sauce on top... It was honestly one of the most amazing things I have eaten in quite some time and absolutely worth of splurge. It was two pieces for $10 but the journey your mouth takes is priceless. I also ordered the scallop sushi which had very generous portions. The miso soup is very flavorful. I also purchased an iced green tea that was very delicious and authentic and unsweet. I ordered two rolls special rolls and a spicy tuna and had plenty of leftovers, this place is worth the hype, and the price. service was prompt, and at the time I arrived, it was very private and comfortable. Perfect for a date night or just a good bite by yourself

    Shrimp tempura

This place is pretty good. I've been coming here for a few years now and it's always been great. Until recently where I've experienced not great meals when ordering takeout. Shrimp has skin on it, crab rangoons have stuff in the filling (not sure if wrapping or what) but when you're paying for good food and don't receive, it's very disappointing and feels like a waste of money. I should not be finding these things in my food and it's been happening so much that I had to leave a review. More times than not this place is good but it's not consistent.

    Oyako Don
    Anthony N.

4/5! Went here with a few friends for dinner, and out experience here was pretty good! The quality of the food was great, and the service was as well. The Food: For my main entree, I got the Oyako Don. I also got a few rolls of sushi as well, since it is a sushi restaurant. The Oyako Don is a dish that has bite sized chicken with rice in an egg sauce. It was actually really good! It was a nice and warm meal that had very nice egg and chicken flavor. I'd recommend it if you were looking for a rice dish. For sushi, I just got the yellowtail and tuna rolls. They both were delicious and the quality of fish was pretty good. It had a good rice/protein ratio as well. The Service: Service was great! Staff were friendly and attentive for our water refills. The Atmosphere: Restaurant was decorated nicely. Had that asian cuisine theme. The place was also clean and had plenty of seating. Overall, a 4/5. Sushi was good and the other food options looked good as well.

    Spicy Chirashi
    Teressa B.

The food was really great! I was surprised by how large the portion size was. I ordered the spicy chirashi and by request asked for no salmon. It took a bit longer but the request was accommodated and they were very nice about it. Fresh fish! Clean atmosphere, nice staff! They were busy so it makes sense that things took a little longer. I would recommend to a friend!

We ultimately enjoyed our meal and will likely try it again the next time we need a change of pace from our go-to spot. The menu possesses a vast array of rolls, the majority of which hover between $15-18. Seeing the prices of the rolls and not knowing what to expect, we ended up ordering six, which ended up as too much food for the two of us. We found the rolls all well constructed and with generous quantities of the fish. The rice itself was passable. The sliced fish quality was decent, and we found the salmon and tuna particularly fresh. The "spicy" fish in the rolls left something to be desired in both the degree of spice/seasoning as well as freshness. The rolls all could have used a bit more saucing, but we enjoyed them nonetheless. The prices here are very reasonable, especially if you order online which yields a 10% discount. My order was prepared more or less on time. Overall, we liked what we sampled and will return in the near future to sample more rolls. Kumo does not quite supplant our usual sushi spot, but it's a welcome addition to a takeout rotation and worth a shot for roll lovers.

I've been visiting the Nova area to find a good Japanese restaurant, but this one is lower than average to be honest. Sushi rice was undercooked and hard, which kills good quality sushi. In my opinion, this is the most crucial aspect for Japanese restaurants. The arrangement was okay, but they knew how to prepare the fish, but the quality was not good. We all experience inflation and shrinkage, but you should choose quality seafood. For about $30 per dish and fish, I'd rather go to a sushi buffet near me that costs $27 per person.
