We ordered online. There is seating on the inside but it's definitely a grab and go type establishment. Our food was ready when we arrived. If you like a lot of soy ask for more. We got Cali roll, Philly Roll and Boston roll. Overall, I would go again. They won't be my first choice but there's a sushi scenario in which I would return. I just don't know right off hand what that situation is. Haha anyway, when I find myself in that situation I'm not getting the California roll. This is actually my overall favorite when getting sushi. I was disappointed. The Philadelphia and Boston rolls however were sufficient. In the Home Depot group of shops next to NTB Tire, across from Santini's. We had a hankering for quick, cheap, close-by chicken teriyaki. Bento House fit the bill. * Like that this place is order-at-the-counter and not sit down full service - exactly what we were looking for - quick hit, easy in and out, no muss no fuss. Plenty of lot parking. * Walked in - not crowded, plenty of available table seating, very open, bright, clean and neat inside * Kitchen is open concept, grill and cooks are visible which I like. Orders are up pretty quickly but know that teriyaki is grilled to order so there is a wait. I don't mind when I know the food that comes out is freshly cooked and piping hot! * They appear to do a steady, decent amount of online delivery and pick-up takeout orders - another good sign that food and ingredients are fresh, turnover is high. * Order takers at the counter are experienced, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. * Portion sizes are decent (all I can comment on is about the Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box (Regular)) - see my pics - the "Regular" comes with a small amount of steamed veg (fresh) and choice of white or fried rice or noodles (same price) - we ordered with white rice. Next time will try fried rice and noodles (have read other reviews that the noodles are greasy - will have to try and see for myself and report back here). But all things considered in this wacky economy of inflated prices, shrinkflation and places trying to skimp by using lower qual ingredients, the food here stands up to higher standards I have for eating out these days including value for the money (compared to other places) and worth the visit. I DO however have 2 "NEEDS IMPROVEMENT" items that, if fixed, would elevate this place one more star to 4 stars: 1. The chicken teriyaki needs more salt. Definitely missing something in the flavor department and imo just a tad more seasoning would go a long way to make this a perfect dish. Weird thing is - they apparently don't offer salt lol - no condiments on the table and no salt packets available (I asked!). We ended up using the soy sauce they provide in a big dispenser at the condiment / drink station as a dipping sauce for the chicken (pouring it over top of the chicken would drench the rice that sits below the chicken, making the rice even more soggy and mushy than it already is (see #2 below). Soy sauce dipping sauce worked okay in a pinch but the dish really just needs to be a tad more seasoned/salted. 2. The white rice is a tad too "soggy", mushy and bland. If they could get the white rice just a bit more firm and fluffy, it would make a huge difference. Still worth a return visit to check out other menu items. On work days where I am strapped for time and have a hankering for sushi this place always jumps out for their cheap delivery fee and quick delivery time. But the positives really stop there. I ordered the Spider Roll, Yellowtail Sushi (2 pieces) and Tuna Sushi (1 piece). The breading (not sure id that's the right terminology but if you are a fan of Spider Rolls or soft shell crab, I think you get what I mean) on the soft shell crab in the Spider Roll is way too thick. You barely get to enjoy the flavor of the softshell crab itself. The roll is also sloppily put together making it all crumble the minute you pick it up with chopsticks. I didn't expect much. I had walked in and out of this food joint a couple of times without finding anything interesting. But this time I was hungry and wanting something decently healthy so I was trying to decide between the avocado sushi and the tofu teriyaki bento. For a couple bucks more I changed the tofu. Got the fried rice to see what that was like. It seems like they fresh cook everything per order. People came in and out while I waited, most picking up a phone order or ordering to go. They brought me my bento and I was surprised at the size. It was full and - dare I say it - overflowing. I scolded myself for forgetting to ask if the tofu was deep fried as it was, but too late now. Also I wasn't really impressed with the fact that the teriyaki sauce was drizzled over everything (rather than the tofu being cooked in it). Being hungry I dug in, peeking the tofu out of their deep fried cases, and eating it with the fried rice and veggies. And do you know, it was good. I don't know if I was starving or what, but it was really good. There was fried rice lining the entire bottom of the bento and in the end i ate every last bit, just leaving the deep fried tofu cases as proof of the carnage. I can see why they had a steady stream of people coming in and out. For the approximately $7 bento I got hot, freshly cooked, filling, tasty food. I feel a little oily due to the deep fried tofu cases but if I was into fried food those golden tofu squares would have been delicious as well. For the price, I'm a fan. I've read the reviews, people. If you're expecting Nobu, you'll be disappointed. However, you will be happy that you only spent $5.25 for 6 pieces of fresh made California rolls (you can ask them to sub out the avocado for cukes). If it's fresh made, in my book, it's even better than the yucky grocery store sushi where the rice gets hard and crunchy. Call ahead and it's an easy pick up for dinner. Tip- don't fridge it (the fresh rice will get hard) - just eat it right away. Note: I've had the other food. I only get the California rolls ! We were here on a Saturday around 5:30 p.m. At that hour, there was one other occupied table. The people who came in after us did take out orders. When we arrived the man behind the counter greeted us. He was patient and answered the questions we had. I wanted to know if the chicken was white meat. He said it was dark meat, which really didn't surprise me considering what a meal with white meat chicken would cost. So...I ordered the tofu teriyaki deluxe. Their regular meals consist of mixed vegetables, a choice of white or fried rice or noodles. The deluxe ones add 4 pieces of California roll (which has fake crab meat), a spring roll, a small side salad, one piece of pickled ginger, a packet of duck sauce and a small dab of wasabi. Each table has a bottle of Kikkoman low sodium soy sauce. My husband ordered the regular chicken teriyaki. To drink, I got a soda fountain iced tea while my husband had a bottle of water. By the soda machine, you will find straws, plastic forks and knives, and covers for soda cups. There were no napkins in sight so I asked at the counter and was given some. Perhaps, if I hadn't asked, they would have brought some when the food was ready. After ordering if you are dining in, you are given a number to put on your table. I imagine that this makes things easier when it is busy. As for the food---My husband had ordered the regular sized meal because he thought the deluxe would be too much food. Actually, the main course portion in the regular is bigger than it is in the deluxe. In fact, my husband was starting to feel full as he ate. He thought the chicken was tasty, although some pieces weren't cut uniformly. We both thought the fried rice (which we both got with our meals) was good. The tofu in my meal surprised me. I figured that they would just cut up some tofu and plop it on the fried rice, then add the teriyaki sauce. Instead, the tofu was lightly deep fried---just enough to add a bit of crunch to it while the inside stayed smooth and silky. The only problem---it was a bit difficult to stab it with a plastic fork LOL! We both liked the teriyaki sauce. As for the sides with my meal---the spring roll came out warm and not at all greasy, which made it easier to eat with my hands. The interior was filled with veggies. With a dip into the duck sauce, it was good. The California rolls were well made with them being tightly rolled and uniform---a step up from supermarket sushi. The side salad was lightly dressed with an Asian dressing. It consisted of iceberg lettuce, some cucumbers and shredded carrots. For what Bento House does, they do it well. They do Asian fast food and don't pretend otherwise. It's a good spot for a quick cheap meal. Dinner for the two of us cost $27 + change. We will go again next time we're looking to have good cheap eats! read more

Located off of Reston Parkway and Baron Cameron, in the shopping center with Home Depot. The guy at the cash register is very friendly and professional. He was responsible for taking the orders AND packaging the orders. This place can use an additional staff. As the guy was taking orders, there was a line of trays in the back of maybe 12-13 trays, you can see the steam from the cooked teriyaki in about 8-9 trays waiting to be packaged. An older gentleman with a fountain drink watched from the dining room. There was one time where he got up, placed lids on one or two bento boxes, but then went to sit back down when the cashier finished taking orders, so the cashier ended up packing the remaining bento boxes as the older gentleman watched. After waiting almost 15 minutes for my food... let us talk about the food. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Deluxe with fried rice ($7.85). The menu says it comes with mixed vegetables, spring roll, and 4 pieces of California roll. While "salad" is technically a form of mixed vegetables, I was expecting hot mixed vegetables like the ones pictured on other yelper's photos. A few notes: - The steak comes with grilled onions which is a nice touch as it adds good flavor - all bowls come with veggies- cabbage, carrots, broccoli. - the salmon portion can be a bit on the small side as they are sliced pretty thin and you get 3 or 4 pieces. - chicken is a good sized portion and is usually offered as a special for a lower price. Looking for a quick bite in the neighborhood we ventured into the recently opened Bento House. On a side note we also had to hit Home Depot so this worked in our favor as they are in the same shopping strip. Knowing ahead of time that this was a quick serve style place. Order, get number they bring to your table if eating in..... our expectations weren't set very high. A clean and open space there were a couple of flat screens on opposite walls. Ahead was the order counter. We immediately sat as we discussed the menu board and the next thing the owner/manager (forgot to ask) hurried over and brought us a menu to review and to let us know if we had questions to please ask. Already family with the menu from Yelp pictures were did a quick scan and ordered. For tonight we both did deluxe boxes which included a spring roll and 4 pieces of California roll. Hubby also did a combo which gave him a reduced price on his soda. He had beef and I had chicken. We both enjoyed the flavor..... I was envious of the onions he had under his beef. I happen to adore onions. Have to see if I can get that added. Hubby commented that he wished they had a upgraded steak option. As he would have preferred a better cut of beef. He liked the taste but he would have payed extra for filet or ribeye. The veggies were a cabbage and broccoli mix which I liked. The California roll was okay.... It was the spring roll that was the dude in the plate.... More roll than spring it just needs a bit more filling. We also ordered a eel roll and this was a surprising star. Okay not the prettiest presentation but we are doing fast food versus a full fledge sushi bar but the eel had a nice ratio of fat giving it that fabulous richness.... So may be interesting to see how the other rolls stack up. I'm thinking the next time if we are doing the bento boxes to stay with the regular and just order a roll on the side if we are also wanting sushi. A couple near us had the spicy ramen and commented how good it was. Enough to make me want to order this the next time. There are some other hidden things on the menu for future tries from kale salad to octopus balls???? Have to check on that. Ohhhh they do have Mochi so ask what flavors they have. I had mango but they also had green tea and red bean. Overall a great addition to the you need food at a great price and you need it relatively fast. Which reminds me..... I ordered a cucumber avocado roll (paid extra for the avocado) and they gave me a roll with only cucumber. The eel bbq roll has basically only avocado in it, and the avocado isn't even fully ripe.
