Worst QT in JoCo. Understaffed, parking lot is a used car lot. Go elsewhere. Does not recommend.

First experience was not great. 2:30 on a Thursday…read moreafternoon. We opted for pickup. The app said it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. We arrived a little before 20 minutes. The food was VERY soggy. All of it had just been sitting there. The fries were hard and chewy. Honestly everything was just not good. I think if you do pickup, don't listen to the time the app says, and go earlier to pick up. Or, Freddy's should not wrap the burgers in foil, as it traps all the heat in, making the burgers a soggy mess. Or, update their app pickup time to reflect their current wait times accurately. The California burger also had so much liquid from the lettuce. I tried this because I've seen people say it's similar to In-n-out. It's not, at all lol Big size discrepancies between the double cheeseburger and the double bacon cheese burger. Visited a week later via drive through to give it another shot. Much better experience. I recommended eating it as soon as you get it, or else the bun will get very soggy. Again, there was weird size discrepancies between double cheeseburger and double bacon cheeseburger. The double bacon always seems smaller, and has less onions. Overall, it's an ok fast food burger. My favorite is the double cheeseburger with Swiss or American cheese, extra grilled onions, pickle, and mustard. Sides are just ok. Nothing special. Cheese curds aren't really crispy, even when eaten fresh.

I paid $6.57 for this less the stellar sandwich. Shocked at how much I paid.... And it would have been almost $11 for a complete meal - I will never go back to Wendy's again. I have always gone for the frosty's and fries since my last pregnancy 21 years ago. The fries are always limp (even if I ask for them Krispy and hot) and always taste like old grease. And the frosty is a hit or miss and our location usually doesn't have the chocolate flavor. Disappointed with an establishment that I used to live off of when I was in college and couldn't rub two penny's together. Customer service isn't even worth the visit. And if you are near the shawnee Ks locations, they are all gross as far as cleanliness.

For example the Wendys in Olathe served me a piping hot burger, the one I received here was warm, although I tasted as good and at least it wasn't cold. The fries were hot and not limp, which was a plus. On another lower note, the Natural lemonade tasted a little watered down compared to the one from the other location last week. But service was quick and the staff, friendly.

The store wasn't busy at all, but was clean and pleasant enough. We started placing our order at the kiosk (no human order takers here, as far as I could tell) and, after ordering 2 burgers, 2 Shakes, and a side of of onion rings, plus a bottle of water, AND being solicited for a tip by the kiosk (who exactly is getting a tip here? The kiosk?), our total was $52. FIFTY-TWO DOLLARS. for 2 burgers, shakes, onion rings and water. These had better be the best damn burgers and onion rings I've ever had in my life at that price point. Here's the thing...the burgers were good. Just...good. Not outstanding, mind-blowing....just good. The shakes? Well, if you're going to make that the namesake of your business model, your shakes should be big and they should be amazing...but these were just middle-of-the-road, very very ordinary chocolate shakes. The onion rings were pretty good...a total of 6 onion rings, for $4.50. SIIX. Look, the food was fine, the service was fine, but the prices, especially in today's economy, were just over the top. If you don't mind blowing over $50 bucks for what amounts to slightly elevated fast food, then Shake Shack is probably ok for you....for me, it's just not worth the prices they charge. We enjoyed our first visit, but are unlikely to return as we didn't get what I'd consider a good value for our money. Had the total been $30, it probably would have gotten a higher rating and better review.

You're…read moregoing to get a pretty good burger, maybe messier than other places, but it's going to be full of flavor and topped how you want it. But the brand that expanded westward so quickly doesn't seem to maintain its same zing, at least not at this location. This is a smaller location, clearly designed for more of a pick-up/delivery service operation, and the service definitely represents that. All of the ordering is done via kiosk, which is fine, but it embodies the impersonal nature of casual dining these days. The robotic nature of self-service seems to only lend to the blasé nature of the people that are working. They aren't rude by any means; they're just seemingly disinterested in actual service. Order, find a table, wait a few, and your food is brought to you. Lather, rinse, repeat. It's still a really good burger and there are lots of options. Shake Shack even gives you options for a mushroom burger, where the patty is replaced by a portobello mushroom. Maybe my burger wasn't perfect this time, and the "Parmesan Garlic Fries" were just fries dusted with powdered parmesan, so this visit wasn't exactly knocking my socks off. It was more a representation of the service than the brand. So if you're getting it to go, then you're probably in good shape. If you're getting it to stay put, then don't expect much.

Parking was ample outside and we came in right about dinner time. We were sat immediately and I soon had a nice red beer. The cheese burgers were the special, so I opted for one of those with fries + the "my girlfriend isn't hungry" add of a couple chicken strips and some extra fries. The burger was perfect, but I've gotta say...for being a place called *Burg* and Barrel, their chicken strips are the best. They're juicy, the breading is fantastic, and they're always just really high quality. We came in while they were starting the trivia night deal, which I couldn't care less about, but if that's something you're a fan of...it's a thing here. Overall it was just another fantastic meal at the best burger/brew chain in the KC area.

Box sizes and to-go orders don't really have a good presentation or fit with the amount of food you normally get while dining in at the restaurant. But Burg and Barrel has it down. Everything travels very well. And they are good at ensuring they have the right boxes for the right items. Venting in place to keep the fries (or tots) from steaming up and getting soggy. Boxes that are big enough for the full sandwich and a full order of fries. Snagged a beer while I waited and didn't even make it all the way through before the bartender showed up with our to-go order. Then speaking of Ambiance... we got to sit in my awesome living room and wolf down burgers and a steak salad while watching the movie of choice for the night. Keven greeted me and walked me through their spice levels - so on the side of using good judgement I went for a medium 2 strip dinner. Made fresh to order it took about 8 minutes to get my order but it was a lovely change from the slightly warm chicken generally found at a fast food restaurant. These chicken strips were huge! And they've been crusted with the flavor - not drenched in sauce. The chicken was moist and delicious as were the seasoned fries. This will become a go to spot for chicken - winning out over any of the more well known places for me!

Overall, it gives the restaurant a modern street style feel with the bold colors and graffiti around. We bought 2 - one tender and one slider combos $14 each along with buffalo style Mac and cheese with three small chicken pieces $7 and the final bill including tip was $42. The tenders were packed with flavor - crispy and juicy chicken. It was perfectly fried and had the right amount of medium level spice on it. However the buffalo style Mac and cheese was cold and underwhelming - three pieces of chicken with hardly any actual Mac and cheese and fries - it was not what I expected. I definitely expected more Mac and cheese haha. Another downside for me was the pricing of the combos/food- it was high because if you look at the combo it's just two tenders with some bread and sauce. Portion wise it didn't really match the pricing for more of a fast food restaurant setup. The restaurant was clean otherwise and the service was decent - nothing amazing as such. Overall, good fast food with high pricing for what you get.
