Wednesday night Trivia host in 2019 looked someone I knew. No idea if he'd still even be the host now.
Leigh D.

Onto the letter Q in my alphabet series, which only has businesses representing 2019, 2021, 22, & 24. Q is tricky. Representing 2019 is Q is for Quinn's on the Corner. In the 2010's, I was a member of a northern VA trivia Meetup group that met at various locations mostly in Arlington & Alexandria but occasionally they'd throw a Fairfax County or even a DC in the mix. I moved to MD in 2017, so I was a lot less likely to go. The trivia group realized we were winning some good gift cards for Quinn's or their sister restaurant in Shirlington, Dudley's. See my 3-star review from April 2025 of Dudley's. Quinn's was a more positive experience besides sometimes winning good gift cards. I went in 2019 several times on a Wednesday trivia. In 2019, I tended to work remote on Wednesdays & Fridays, and depending what was going on that day & night, I would drive from my home at Wheaton in the middle of the day when traffic wasn't so bad, wifi at a coffee shop in Fairfax County to finish work, and then go over to Quinn's afterward. I also occasionally had work travel to Arlington (or elsewhere) that would get me in the area. Their wings were good here! I remember I also got their chili, which someone recommended, and they were right about that too, and it was a hearty amount! I had the burger, which was solid as well. Overall, I thought the food was good here. Service was generally good even with it being busy. It got a bit crowded & loud during trivia. The last time I went was in July 2019, which I had to pick up a prize at the radio station in Loudoun County, and I went on a Wednesday so I could combine with Quinn's. See my 5-star review of Starbucks in Great Falls, VA that I wrote that day Wednesday, July 17, 2019 (where I wifi on way to Quinn's from Leesburg), only time I went to that Starbucks. Several things occurred which hindered my chances of going to Quinn's in the last half of 2019. I got a girlfriend in June 2019, so more likely had something else going on a Wednesday. One of the organizers from the trivia group passed away in August 2019. They had gone on that Wednesday trivia and thought it was weird he didn't show up, played trivia. The next day they discovered he passed away in his apartment, so they might have not played for a while. I stopped having work travel to Arlington in September 2019 due to them going online, and also in September 2019 there was a stop-work scenario and about half my company was laid off, so work had slowed down a lot. Then, Covid happened, and the Meetup disbanded. I think I'm on the Facebook group, but I moved a little further away in Anne Arundel County than even Wheaton. If I was over here, I'd return maybe with my girlfriend, but rare I'm ever in Arlington these days.

Quinn's is a great neighborhood spot! I went for their $5 champagne on Saturdays for the first time and it was awesome! Perfect for a large group brunch spot. Our server was also very friendly and checked up on us frequently. I'd been once before for food and remember it being delicious, but this time we split some apps which were also really good.

Went in for burger night. The menu says that it's half off burger night it's the little card says it's $10 burger and beer night and yeah we paid $50 for for two burgers, a soda and a glass of water. When we asked what the deal was the server said that it's under new management and they don't know what they're doing. I wouldn't recommend going there unless you just wanna pay whatever price they feel like charging you.

On January 25, 2026, I placed an Uber Eats pickup order. When I arrived, the store was closed and locked, lights were off, and the entrance was not shoveled due to a snowstorm. The business appeared vacant all day. I canceled the order and requested a refund, but Uber Eats denied it, falsely claiming the food was being prepared. I also emailed Quinn's on the Corner in Arlington requesting a refund and received no response

Taco Tuesday

Simple spot, i wouldn't call it a hole in the wall but it gave me the feel of simple down to earth good conversation regular spot. The bar had people sitting the tables had people drinking and taco Tuesday was on with 10 dollar (2 tacos and chips) with 4 dollar Margaritas. Simple to the point and a good time.

I came here for happy hour and It was empty. Maybe because It was a Monday. Anyway, service was quick, the music was good, very chill atmosphere. I think the happy hour drink menu could improve. Wine and beer but no alcohol. Appetizers are BOGO free so tht was cool. We had the quesadilla and nachos. The nachos could have fed 4 people and they were some of the best I've ever had. I'll go back if I'm in the area.

We came here for happy hour and decided to sit outside. They have bogo apps for the HH so we went with the jumbo pretzel and nachos. The pretzel wasn't the softest but nachos were solid. Not a bad place to go for a drink and I would go back.

The space itself is bright and airy and a bit on the noisy side. But the service was very good, and the food was served quite quickly. I've been on a shakshuka kick lately, so I opted for the the Sweet Potato Shakshuka, which is described as: Sweet Potato Curry, with Chickpeas and Sunny Eggs with a the chicken add-on - gotta get that protein in, after all. This was one of the most unique shakshukas I'd ever had... It literally tasted like a curry dish you might get at your local Indian restaurant, with a bit of a brunch flair to it. The curry itself had a wee bit of spice and was a bit sweet - but that could have been from the sweet potatoes. The chicken was served in a bowl on the side, which felt a bit... odd... I would've expected it to be incorporated into the main dish. It was kind of bland and a bit lukewarm, so I don't know that I'd order that again... but I would definitely order this again!

Honestly we were so pleasantly surprised by how good the burgers are! I had the Capital Burger which had such incredible flavor and the burger itself is thick and juicy. Despite having just had a big dinner somewhere else, as I write this, my mouth is watering. My daughter had the wild mushrooms burger and she loved it -- the aioli had the perfect tang to go with the mushroom and Swiss, both burgers were cooked perfectly medium as requested. The old fashioned was just your typical old fashioned with a slice of candied bacon attached to the outside of the glass. We were hoping for something smokier and a little different but it was still a very good Old Fashioned. We shared the chocolate mousse and it was perfection. Yum! If I lived here this would be my new regular spot.

The broccolini, coffee, and espresso shot were not our favorites of the evening, but honestly, the other dishes were so good that we quickly forgot about them. Every course seemed to have something memorable to offer. The bartender service was stellar throughout the night, attentive without being intrusive, and helped make the experience even more enjoyable. The manager was actively walking around the restaurant, making sure that every guest were enjoying their dinner. The food was good all around but there are some dishes that outshine the rest. The ribeye and New York strip were very good. The butchers steak I got for my son and he didn't really like it, it was lacking flavor. If you do anything when you go, please make sure to get the biscuits. Hands down THE BEST BISCUITS I've ever had lol. They are the most flaky and buttery biscuits, you can count each layer that these have. Pro tip is to ask for butter and the house made jam. The pimento cheese is good with them but it becomes a little too decadent. Overall I'm happy we made the decision to come here, we will be back soon.

Fantastic dinner in a more artsy/hip area of Washington DC…read more In the beginning, the dinner's pacing felt a little rushed when we sat down, but after we ordered, everything came out at a sensible pace, they weren't rushing to have you leave so someone else can have your table. We were sat in the solarium area, and it was during the heat dome, and it was really warm in there. Otherwise, though, it's completely charming inside and reminds us of some of the best French bistros we've been to in the country (e.g. Balzathar, Le Supreme). The three cocktails we tried--the frose, le jardin, and the clouseau--were all stunners. And of course the bread deserves another special mention, *especially* the room temperature butter. Thank you for not serving hard as hell butter! We shared the warm shrimp salad to start, and for $31, we were expecting more than a few avocado slices and 4 shrimp on it, but c'est la vie. The dressing was incredible, and the greens were crunchy. That's actually the only dish of the night that we thought was unfairly overpriced. One of us ordered the burger and the other got the rabbit pappardelle--you've got to get rabbit when you see it on a menu, which isn't often enough! There was a good amount of super tender meat and the pasta was perfectly al dente, all in a lightly stunning sauce. Chef's kiss. The burger was, no surprise, another triumph. There was juicy meat, bun integrity, and all the right accouterment notes. The fries are standard. Our daughter got their mac-n-cheese, which is probably just the gratin dish renamed. It was OK. We kind of got out of control for dessert and ordered the pot de creme, the cookie dough ice cream, and the profiteroles. Honestly, these were all good, but nothing that stood out as exemplary as with the savory stuff. Our only major complaint was the service. It was really spotty and while there was a very, very long gap in between when we got our water and then put in our drinks, but our mains came out almost directly after the salad. And the guy was just not very hospitable. Not necessarily a "bad" experience...it just could have been a lot better. Four stars, and we have already declared that we will be back again to "The Dip" because there is so much else on the menu that we want to try.

I had to ask for another boat. The menu said the sandwich had Gruyère, but if it was there, I couldn't taste it. I could taste horseradish and arugula. It wasn't worth the $33 menu price. The ambiance is a bit loud. The restaurant is very reverb-y, so I heard lots of talking (though some of it was probably due to the music's being too loud), but the waitstaff didn't compensate, so it was hard to hear their voices.

We've only been here for brunch, and it has been consistently excellent. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the restaurant is always clean and inviting. One thing that really stands out is their customer service. On our last visit, we arrived just five minutes before they switched from the brunch menu to lunch, and they still let us order brunch without making us feel rushed. That kind of flexibility and kindness really makes a difference. If you're a fan of Bloody Marys, don't skip them here! They make one of the best I've had and it's the perfect complement to brunch. The atmosphere is lively but comfortable, and unlike a few other restaurants we visited during the summer, they actually keep the air conditioning on, which made our meal much more enjoyable on a hot day. One thing to note is that the restrooms are located downstairs in the hotel next door. They were clean and easy to find once we asked. Overall, Chef Geoff's West End never disappoints. Great food, excellent service, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere keep us coming back every time we're in DC. It's definitely one of our favorite brunch spots, and we highly recommend it.
