I have been with Quinoco for approximately thirty years. They have been reliable, helpful, and efficient during all of those years. Their technicians are polite and know their job very well. They come and clean the boilers (we have two - this is a duplex) every year. Just a note: I have read somewhere that you should have it cleaned soon after you stop using it in the late spring. If you wait until you need it in the fall, they will be very busy with everyone preparing for winter. Just call and get an appointment in the spring. read more

While perhaps not everyone will have a sterling experience every time, I have to say that I am most pleased with each of the service guys who have come out to maintain my furnace, AC and generator. Each were knowledgeable, neat, polite and able to diagnose problems readily and resolve them either right away or as soon as the parts became available. Very poor service. We called in September to arrange a furnace cleaning per our service contract, and got a November appt. November comes, and our pre-season cleaning got bumped to FEBRUARY, because they were installing new furnaces for people (brings in more money for Quinoco I guess). FEBRUARY comes, and we get bumped a day because someone else was without heat. Okay, I can live with that. The next day, Quinoco doesn't show up. I call, and there's nothing on the books! WTF! This is the worst service I've ever had, very expensive, and they refused to return the $200 they overcharged me. In their website they said free estimates but it's not true. They came to my house to see what was needed to fix, they didn't fixed anything and charge me for it without my consent. So be careful, you have to pay for the estimat, even if they told me there were no charge. I asked for a refund and they say NO. just like that. read more

Fell on hard times with money owed, trusted their "collections man " to help us . That man is a snake . Took double payments in one month back to back ( never authorized the second one ) promised to fix it, refund and never let it happen again. ( empty promise). Never fixed it or refunded. This month took another payment that was way above and beyond what we agreed each month , and when confronted his response in a non - Shallotte way i took as a threat. His words ...either you can dispute it and see what happens or we're even . Quinoco has serviced my Buderis furnace for over 20 years. The technicians are well-trained, and also very pleasant. They explain things to me as best they can, considering I have NO training in their field!!! When I do have a problem, they don't make me wait! They service my air-conditioning, also. Called as a new customer for oil, $3.90/gal!!! For comparison purposes- I currently use sisters oil, and their rate today is $3.47/gal. Vikings Fuel is $3.69/gal. Asked if they publish their rates online (as they change) and they do not. You will have to call to learn their rate each time. read more

I have been with them for over 10 years, but they have had several "system glitches" in 2021. First they charged me a finance charge for absolutely no reason, and I had to call to get that removed. Second, they "lost" an appointment I made online. Third, they called an old number that I haven't had for over 6 years, and which I have told them repeatedly to change or delete in the system. read more

We decided to continue with the service that the previous owners of the house we bought used, which is Quinoco. Delivery is fine. This year (only being a customer for 9 months) we wanted to get our a/c, heat, and generator serviced for maintenance. Online, the service contract for a generator is 219.95; I was charged 263.00. Prior to this "new" problem, I had set up a time to have someone maintain my generator. I was given a 2 hour window, so when 20 minutes was left of my window and no one showed up, called or emailed, I called to inquire. I was treated disrespectfully and was told that the service person was held up at another job. I get it, life happens, but I was told that my husband was called and that my 2 hour window is now a 4 hour window. I requested $5 off for good faith since my husband was NOT called and I had other appointments that day. I was told that I would get $10 off... funny how my bill increased when I received it in the mail. How is this legal? Oh, and I emailed the company to complain since the woman who I spoke with ignored me and the supervisor was just as rude, and I never received any communication back. I am tied into a 1 year contract, but will be looking for another company over this year. read more

Quinoco failed to put me on automatic delivery, and I ran out of oil this winter. They had the gall to charge me for the weekend delivery, and after I asked for an accounting for the 'credits', they double charged for oil deliveries. They even charged for coming to quote repair jobs. Their accounting is bizzare; be careful if you do business with them! read more

Quinoco has always been there for me supplying me the best service for several years now. Just recently, a week before my daughters birthday party, our pool heater decided to fail! One call to Quinoco and they had a technician there the next day and rushed ordered parts to repair in time. This is only one example of how great this company is! In our opinion, you should not use Quinoco Oil. We received an oil delivery from them, then a few days later they tried to fill up our tank again. Oil spilled inside and outside our house. We were not aware of the full extent of the spill until Quinoco billed us for over forty gallons three weeks later. Quinoco completed their cleanup/remediation within 48 hours and we were informed that the necessary steps had been taken. However Quinoco did not report the spill to the DEEP as required by law. They did not clean up the soil outside until we reported it to the DEEP ourselves. Ultimately ten 55 gallon drums of contaminated soil were removed by two separate environmental companies. After much persistence on our part, Quinoco paid to have the siding damage from the sprayed oil re-stained. As far as the inside damage, Quinoco gave us Odor Kill aerosol spray to mask the odor of oil. Use of this product resulted in headache and nausea-it should not be used in enclosed spaces. We ended up running a big HEPA filter in our basement for several weeks to get rid of the oil smell. Not all of our loss and damage claims were paid by Quinoco or their liability carrier. Initially we believed what we had been told by Quinoco: the necessary cleanup/remediation was completed as required. We later realized this was not correct. We trusted Quinoco to have acted in good faith in completing the necessary cleanup/remediation. The circumstances that followed would suggest otherwise. read more
