ZERO STARS=Had an absolutely terrible experience at Quirk, Went to Quirk to look at (2) specific vehicles, even made a point of calling the morning of to make sure they were still available, after talking with l "Greg" the internet salesman, he pawned me off to another salesman and we talked for a few mins, h excused himself and came back only to tell me that the w vehicles I wanted to look at were SOLD, mind you this was on Presidents Day of 2015. So we looked at some 2015 models and at a certain point the Salesman says " what is it going to take for you to buy today, so he throws out. number and proceeds to tell me "that is our out the door price, everything included, tax,title and fees, his manage even sweetens the pot by offering an extra thousand off, after deliberation, i decided to buy the vehicle, sounds great......as I'm filling out the paperwork, the salesman asks if im going to pay the tax title and fees or put it on top of the price......I said WHAT? what happened to the OUT THE DOOR DEAL...Salesman says oh, we cant do that, do you still want the truck? What planet are these guys from? Also told me i was getting $10,000 off of the MSRP ($44,855) but then showed me his sum of $36,855......really, its simple,math, they cant even get that right. I recently purchased a 2016 Camaro SS from these folks. I knew what I wanted and had determined how much I was willing to pay for it. I had been to numerous dealers throughout the area and drove a couple of different cars and spoke with several salesmen and sales managers. None of them could (or would?) meet the price that I sought. That was ok, because I didn't really *need* a car, but if I could get one for the right price, I would. I kept searching inventories and found that Quirk had one equipped as I preferred. I stopped in on my way home from work and ended up dealing with a salesman named Nami. He was good to work with. I would recommend him, as he put in a lot of effort to make it all work. He wanted to sell a car because it was their end of month. Accidental good timing on my part. Quirk met my price, so I bought the car. They were even willing to swap wheels for me, but I ultimately decided to keep the ones it came with. It speaks well of them that they were this flexible, but in fairness, I am a rather persistent negotiator and it did take over 2 hours of negotiating to reach an agreement. In the end, everything was handled professionally, and everyone was polite and cordial, and things went smoothly for me. Of course, I knew what I wanted, and knew what I was willing to pay. I have no idea how things might have gone otherwise, but for the informed consumer seeking a low price, I can say that I did well and am happy with the deal we made. I would shop with them again. I give them 4 stars because they met the price that I was told by more than one dealership was "impossible", and because they did not try to pressure me into anything, although they did attempt to sell me various add-ons. went there today..... i was promised a price via email and on the phone. when i got there the salemans tried to get me into a completly different truck then what i wanted. They advertised a lease deal for 265$ a month but after doing everything they told me it would be 510$!!!!! when asked about the advertisment they said i didnt qualify. so i asked them about the purchase price and payments on that... they then told me if i wanted to purchase the truck at the price they told me they had to give me 3 grand less on my trade. Shopping for a new Corvette, called these people and the "internet sales" person and I came to a "close" agreement including my trade in. SO, I drove almost 200 miles in pouring rain. I was met by one of the internet people (not the one I had spoken with) and they handed me over to a "wet-behind-the-ears" geek in wingtips who proceed to sit me in the car and show me all the bells and whistles. Then I sat at his little side table and he proceeded to give me a price that was $10k more than the "close" price the guy on the phone and I had agreed to. I argued with the manager for a few minutes, who refused to get the guy that I had spoken to on the phone. First he was not there, then he was busy. Saw an awesome deal online and emailed their online sales department about it. I coundnt find a listing in there inventory for the car that qualified for the deal. I wanted to check out the spec and it took 2 employees and about 16 emails back and forth for them to understand what I was wanted. When they finally figured out what I was asking they stopped replying to me. I can only guess that they dont actually have what they are offering and its just a ploy to get you in buy something else. If I could I would give Chevy zero stars but it is not an option. I am an essential worker, a Pediatrician. I relay on my car to go serve others during this pandemic. My 2019 Equinox only driven for about 10,000 miles has malfunctioned three times for the same defective part that was recalled by manufactures. Twice those incidents were on the highway and once with a baby in the car and it was terrifying. Though Chevy has "fixed" this problem 3 times in over a month and week they refuse to give me a new safe car and instead are forcing me to either get into the old defective car, buy a new lease on top of paying for my old lease so double the money, or being without a car. How does Chevy support essential workers as they fight during this pandemic when they can not provide me with a safe vehicle that I pay monthly for to even get to work? How does Chevy value the safety and lives of their customers and babies when they are so readily willing to place them right back in a three time defective vehicle that has had problems within a month and few days, two of those incidents being on the highway! Chevy should be ashamed of themselves. If you value you life, value the life of children, or want to go to a place where you are treated as a person and not a dollar sign, do not go to Chevy, especially if you are an essential worker, because Chevy would rather leave you stranded unable to get to work to help serve communities during this pandemic than help fix their own mistakes and ensure your safety. read more

I visited Quirk Chevrolet in Braintree to purchase a Chevy Bolt EV. Quirk participates in the Mass Energy Drive Green program, and they were offering the best price in the state. I was able to view and test drive in a low pressure environment. I had to travel a couple of hours to reach this dealership, but they made the process as convenient as possible. I am the owner of a 2001 z28 Camaro. I had to have the steering rack replaced, the work was done at Quirk Chevrolet. Portland Maine. Last weekend I took it on the highway about 25 miles. I smelled oil burning. I get home and park.The next morning after a rain I see a rainbow coming from my car. bring it to another dealer and they tell me that a bolt, a rack mount bolt was cut and left sitting on top of the rack right under the oil pan. it put a hole in the pan that was now leaking oil. Quirk looked up the paper work but said because it was a repaired over a year ago they would do nothing. They will never touch my car again! read more

Just a shout-out, never use Quirk in Braintree. I bought my Chevy there, yet, they refused to service it, suggesting I take it to Best 20 miles away. The reason, "the car is too old." Hey, sorry Chevy built a great car in 1995, but still they should service their own cars. My car is in perfect condition, serviced when recommended, and low mileage (73k). Still Quirk, where I bought the car, would not service it. They actually said I should take it to Best Chevy 20 miles away. So I did and Best was great! But what's up with Quirk not servicing cars they sold???? My own thought is they do not know how to fix their own cars, so they avoid them. Lack of expertise I guess. read more

We came in because of their lure: $2000 down with $35/month for a new Chevy Cruze. To qualify for that deal, you had to have a non-GM car in the household, be a veteran (or maybe active military? maybe), have a leased car in the household, and be trading in a used car. It was a bullshit hook, but whatever. We did end up with a good deal. We got a new Cruze for $2000 down (with $1500 in fees......) and $200/month with 10,000 miles a year for a 4 year lease. They paid for the gap insurance. We did have to fight for it though. They also waste your time as sales tactic and then try to use as an incentive to buy, but everyone does that. Christian helped us with our purchase. I found him very nice, professional, and timely. My fiance and I never leased a car and he was able to answer all our questions. He also got all the information for us that we asked for right away (like, what would it be like with a combo of 24 months for 12,000 miles a year, or 39 months with 10,000 a year, etc). Note: This review would probably be totally different if we were not able to negotiate a deal. A lot of people are upset at their wasted time, and if it didn't work out, I would have been too. However, Christian was a highlight and would warrant at least a few stars if in any circumstance. read more

Awesome experience, worked with Justin, he was friendly, personable, knew his product, said "we'll figure it out" a lot and was true to that. He was able to accommodate our needs, explain everything we needed explaining and made the process as stress free as possible. He dealt with my insurance agent, who was new to her job and not sure of what she was doing, but was able to help her get done what needed to be done so that we could take our new car home. Terrible experience. Was looking to buy a Chevy equinox. There was a low price advertised online at Quirk so went to test drive. Expressed a desire to buy not lease but for over half an hour salesman attempted to convince me that I needed to lease and would not listen when I repeatedly said I did not want to lease. Was unable to ever give me a total price for the car. They only speak in terms of monthly payment and you have no idea what you would be actually paying for the car. This is a very shady place. I went to a nearby Chevy dealership and had very nice, straight forward experience. Would not recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

They lure you in with an incredibly low advertised price (without any disclaimer on the website), then they make you pay $7000 more than advertised. Only wish we had read the reviews before wasting our time there. My husband had been corresponding with a woman there for a week or 2 before we went. Trying to see if rhey coyld give us there best quote before we went there. Seemed nice enough At first, but we were tomd we would need to come in for a more detailed quote. Ok makes sense. When we got to quirk we ended up being helped by a younger guy. Lets just say when you walk into any dealership, there playing a game you play your own game. We had planned to leave the dealership that day if the pricw was reasonable. After the test drive (we mentioned we may check out other dealerships) we asked him to give us his best price. He than told us, If your planning on looking elsewhere i dont want to waste your time or mine. (Ok seriously your going to tell a customer they are wasting your time.) We told hin to humor us and we threw out a low number knowing it would not be accepted. But expecting them to counter. He came back annoyed that he was having to still talk to us and said this is the lowest number we cant get you close to what you want. Terrible terrible customer service. We then emailed the lady we had spoken with previously and told her of our experience. She said she would look into it . We came to Quirk based on an advertised deal for the Chevy Volt. We purchased a car and did not receive a copy of the purchase agreement. When the first bill arrived in the mail, the balance owed on the car was several thousand more than we had expected. It took three e-mails and a phone call to get a copy of the sales agreement. When we did, we saw that we were not given the $7,000.00 discount that was advertised and that Shayne had promised. We could have purchased the vehicle much closer to home for this price. When I walked in I was greeted by Rob Camillo a service consultant, he was very friendly and helped me set up everything that I needed done with my car. Quirk Chevy has the worst customer service. I made an appointment, went in and told them about my problem. I told them that I've already replaced my left brake light 3 times and it still has trouble. The brake light does not turn when the headlight is off and the brake pedal is pressed. The same light turns on when the headlights are on but when the brake pedal is pressed. Okay, so I understand they have to go through a checklist to diagnosis the program. Fine. They suggested that the brake light bulb be changed so we did. Like I expected, two weeks later, it goes out again. I repeat the same process and now I'm going in for my third appointment for the same problem. At this point, I'm getting really frustrated. Its obvious to any layman with any common sense that its not the bulb or the fuse. The lame excuse that they give is that they can't warranty that they bulb won't go out after two weeks and that it can only be a problem with the bulb. Excuse me? why couldn't it be the electrical system? The car is under bumper to bumper warranty, why won't they dig deeper? After 15 minutes of this back and forth, I give up and subsequently went to a real auto shop. I will never go back Quirk Chevy again! read more
