Clockwise: Polish sampler platter for 2, rainbow trout, and pork shank.
    Howard L.

The food is flavorful, delicious, and well prepared here!  Our party of 4 ordered a Polish sampler platter for 2, a rainbow trout entree, and a pork shank entree.  The pork shank was very tender, and the trout was also very fresh.  The platter for 2 struck us as being on the smallish side, but a whatever on that as it was all tasty.  Overall, except maybe on that platter for 2, the prices are reasonable though they are currently at 4% higher than the printed menu prices.  Complimentary warm bread slices were also provided. Their dining space is not that big, so I called in with a reservation for 4.  It probably wasn't needed on a Thursday night, but it doesn't hurt to make one.  Marvin was our informative server and he's also a partner here.  They kept the place on the cool side so I'm glad I had my light jacket with me.  I'll go with 4.5 rounded up to 5 stars for our outing.  We will make an effort to return sometime and try some other dishes.

Looking for a cozy spot on a cold Midwest night...I stumbled upon Qulinarnia. It is a quaint BYOB restaurant with a robust menu. I got their sample platter and loved every single item (pierogi ruski, kielbasa, sauerkraut, cabbage rolls). I got the grilled sausage to go The rainbow trout is listed as boneless but had bones so the host generously offered a dessert for the trouble. Will definitely be back for some comfort food, they have quick to-go options.

I was craving Polish food and was checking out some in the area and this popped up! It was super cozy inside and very homey. Our server was super welcoming and didn't treat us any worse because we weren't polish. I ordered the chicken soup to start and then sampler plate. The chicken soup was warm and had plenty of herbs. The pierogies were delicious. The skin was cooked perfectly and the potatoes inside were flavorful. I loved the potato pancake. It was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and not as greasy as I expected. The wrapped cabbage was also made well, the shape stayed together and it wasn't too bland. I didn't love the sausage and it was a bit tough but everything else was great! I get the vibes that this restaurant is mom-and-pop and it's a local spot, so I want to show lots of support! I would definitely go again and the food is very affordable.

Good, fancy Polish food with nicely decorated interior. Their portions are huge! It's always nice to take home leftovers.

It definitely has a lively atmosphere, and I could hear Polish being spoken at many of the tables, which made the experience feel authentic. There were also plenty of non-Polish guests enjoying themselves as well. The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff were friendly, attentive, and kept everything running smoothly despite how large and busy the restaurant was. The restaurant was also very clean and well maintained. The food was fresh and satisfying. Portions were enormous, and many dishes are easily large enough to share between two people. The flavors were mild and balanced, which I appreciated since nothing was overly salty or heavy. The sauerkraut was good, although I personally would have preferred it to be a bit more sour. Overall, the food was enjoyable, the atmosphere was unique, and it's a fun place to experience Polish cuisine while enjoying a lively social setting.

It was time to try. We expected a bit of a hole in the wall and that's not what we found - we found a very nicely decorated and maintained restaurant with a lot of dark wood overtones - we were seated immediately and given an extensive menu. I ordered a Polish beer, and we ordered a Polish plate - kind of a combination sampler plate if you will - and a ground pork cutlet dinner. Now before we could say anything? Some bread showed up with a lovely but lightly flavored hummus type spread- we enjoyed it because it also came with a nice big half sized pickle. When the Polish plate came? OMG we had sauerkraut - we had sausage - we had some pierogies, and when the pork cutlet came out? It literally covered the entire plate and was resting on a bed of freshly mashed potatoes. We shared the Polish plate and we shared the extremely large pork cutlet. Now to be fair? We loved the Polish plate immensely - while the cutlet was nicely breaded, and the mashed potatoes were great? I'm not certain I could say that about the pork cutlet. There was nothing wrong with it. I think the flavor was fine, but it was not something that I would order again. It just wasn't my taste that's all. So would we come again? Yes. Yes we would!

We went before the dinner rush on a Saturday. There's a small parking lot in the back but that was full so we parked on the street. We were immediately seated and drink orders were taken as well as soup (which is included). Drinks are added separately and not inclusive of the $34 per person. I had the borscht and that was tasty and comforting. My brother in law didn't waste any time and he immediately got his first plate going. My sister and I took our time to enjoy the soup. I then started with the appetizers and tried the different salads. It was cool to see they had aspic since that's not something you see often either. When I eventually made my way to the warm food, I was overwhelmed by all the choices. I tried to take one of everything but even then it was too much so I didn't get to try it all. The meats that I did try were super tender and juicy. They definitely know what they're doing with the meats! The dessert area had so many different options. There was cake, flan and cheesecakes. So many to choose from! I think I just love Polish food in general because of the comfort food aspect. The proteins are usually simmered in gravy and you get to pair it with potatoes cooked in all sort of ways! My sister was adventurous and just started putting random stuff on her plate that I've never seen before. She found the meat spread and that was surprisingly good too.
