A long time friend wanted to go out, she asked for a spot and I recommended Quotes. It's relatively still new and I've seen a few people go. My friend had already got us a table. She stated that it took forever for her to be acknowledged at the door and seated. She shared that she ordered an appetizer, the appetizer (boudin egg rolls) which was given 1 minutes before the entree was ready. They were actually ok. So when I arrived she was trying to figure out why her appetizer hadn't come out yet. I don't know if it was because it was a Friday night or what, but it was not a good night for a first time customer. Our food was taken to the wrong table. And as I stated before, the appetizer came out like a minute before our entrees. The waitress didn't come to fill up my water, until I had to wave her down to do. She asked us was everything okay, but it was 30 seconds after the entrees came out. We hadn't even had a chance to touch our food. The crowd was very juke joint, hole in the wall age group. When those entrees came out my fries were cold (I ordered the chop house burger) and the burger was okay but VERY over seasoned and salty. I wasn't really impressed and I've ate at a lot of places. Maybe I ordered the wrong food. The service though needs a lot of work, the waitresses although kind, didn't seem to be focused at all. They were bumping into people and tables and when you tried to ask them for a mili-second for anything, they scurried past and ignored you. Like "uhh that's not my area bud". I gave this establishment 1 star, because the building itself on the inside is incredible. The layout and everything on the inside is an architects dream come true. Come early or not at all!! The best thing tonight was the hostess Penelope. She was professional, polite, and very accommodating. Our server acted like she couldn't be bothered. Every inquiry was met with, "Well, I put the order in." At no point did she make any effort to check on the delay. So let me start by saying that I was in the service industry for over 5 years. Meaning, I am completely understanding of things. However, believe me when I tell you not to waste your time at this restaurant. The waitress had 3 tables ( 1 was a party), we were all sitting in a row. With that being said you would think after checking on one table she would check on the other 2 that were right there as she passed. Fast forward to me finally ordering. I asked for a side salad as an appetizer and the avocado bacon and chicken ranch flatbread as my entree . My friend ordered the catfish and shrimp with yams, greens and mac. After about 20 mins I stopped to realize, " damn , didn't I order a salad as an appetizer?" At no point did our server stop to check on us, it wasn't until I stopped her to ask about it . She then shows me her handheld to show me that the order was put in but it looks like everything is ready according to their color coding system. She went to check and came back saying that our food was actually 5 orders behind. I say, okay well can you at least bring me the salad, as I had ordered this as an appetizer. Just when I think things couldn't get more unpleasant, she comes back to say that our ticket was actually swiped as if it was made already, she seems unsure so I ask her to please check . Guys when she comes back the plot now thickens lol, she explains to me that the pizza I ordered is made with cauliflower crust and they are out of that !!!! I at this point asked for the manager . He wasn't helpful in the slightest. He basically said "so yeah they just now told me they don't have the crust". I said do you know how long we've been here ? By the way guys I still didn't have a Salad at this point. Lol. He doesn't offer anything so I said what accommodations can be made at this point, he says well that's what I'm asking you ? Lol you guys I cannot make this up. So I asked for our entire meal to be comped, at this point I say I want nothing else and is my friend's food ready ? He didn't know , after about another 5 mins they finally bring my salad and her food out. The manager says, I can't comp your alcohol but I can do 50% off your food. I just giggle and say okay. I asked for another ranch and he never brought it, I ended up stopping someone else to bring one. After receiving our food, there was no "2 bites/2 mins" as we servers would say. This basically means you should either check back on your table within either 2 bites or 2 mins of dropping your food off. She eventually came back and I asked for the check . This was the worse experience I've ever had . Please save your time and money . Some of these things could have been avoided and as a manager this is why you should be doing pre shift with the staff to discuss what's missing, the goals for that day etc. Horrible place and will probably not last too long . I will tell this story as long as it keeps people away from that place. read more

We stumbled across this spot by chance when searching for a mall smaller than the Galleria Mall. It is anchored to the Willowbrook Mall directly next to Nordstrom Rack. I have to say ....Amazing vibes, DJs on point and the food was absolutely delicious. Only down side is the wait time to be seated and the wait for your food. You can browse the mall and receive a text message when your table is ready which was wonderful. Additionally, the food came out hot, fresh and extremely flavorful. The alcoholic drinks were delicious and appealing to the eye as well! The back drop to take pictures was super dope and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I had been referred here by a coworker who gave raving reviews so I was super excited to bring a friend and both of have a first time experience. For starters we walked in and there was a sign saying please wait to be seated. We waited. And waited. And waited. One immediately approached us and asked "y'all didn't have someone seat y'all?" We told him that the lady that approached us told us to sit anywhere. He said ok well I'll try to find you a waiter and get you some water. He walked off and we went ahead and pulled up a menu. The young man came back to where he was standing and about 3 mins later walked off again. Meanwhile we still hadn't been properly greeted by no one. No hello no water. No waiter. And the lady that told us to sit anywhere was back at the bar (not behind it) socializing with customers again! After the young man came back and stood beside the other man we were confused. Why was no one helping us? My friend saw a woman at the bar who was in uniform but having a drink and we asked her if she worked here. She kindly responded "yea but I'm off work what do you need?" We told her we hadnt been seated, need water and a waiter and she immediately left and got us a waiter! All of this occurred for at least 20 mins!!! My friend and I were extremely disappointed being that this was our first impression and first experience there. However, our waiter was kind. Food and drinks were amazing. We had a smoking strawberry lemon drop, boudin egg rolls, Caesar salad, fried pork chops, greens, Mac and cheese and bread pudding! Everything was great except the service at the beginning. Arrival of appetizers was approximately 30 minutes for spinach dip and oxtail empanadas. We were not fans of the empanadas but the spinach dip was phenomenal. Ordered entrees and it was an hour before it arrived . One person had crab cakes and they were sent back due to the consistency was more of salmon croquettes instead of crab cakes . Second had the catfish creole which was good but the dirty rice was horrible . Third person had salmon bowl and all was good but the dirty rice . I had captain platter and I loved the fish and shrimp seasoning and how it was fried. My sides were bacon jam Brussels sprouts that were sweeter than the ice tea. Dirty rice that was sent back it was hard under season and not tasty. It was replaced with Mac and cheese which was good . Music was nice and the flower wall was cute .
