They felt that I should not have gotten upset but they were the ones that were incompetent and disrespectful. The dentist is good but I tell everyone not to go there because you cant trust the back office. The staff said i used profanity and i was very upset on the phone, well after several calls to the insurance company and finding out the staff had not sent the proper information and then the dental office lost the first check sent from the insurance company and receiving a bounced check. The staff were incredible in getting me in that same day to be seen. Dr. Chae was great about explaining the entire process and answering any questions I had. I elected to be sedated because I am a big wimp... I'm also very claustrophobic and have a severe gag reflex. Dr. Chae was extremely smooth about starting the IV as I don't even recall feeling a pinch (definitely better than the nurses I've experienced in the past). 25 minutes later I was waking up with my wisdom tooth removed and very minimal discomfort! Dr. Chae called me later that evening to check in on me and to ensure I had picked up my prescriptions from the pharmacy. I thought that was the sweetest thing! There is no doubt in my mind that I feel he truly cared for me as if I was a close friend or family member. A genuine doctor with staff who were extremely nice and accommodating... I am 25, This has been the most painful and frustrating dental experience of my life. Multiple teeth were filed down excessively, crowns were placed poorly, and one crown has fallen off multiple times. Even the tooth that still has a cap is constantly painful, which should never happen after proper treatment. One of my back teeth was left extremely sensitive and exposed, causing severe pain. Another crown would not stay on despite repeat visits. On top of that, my front tooth cap is uneven, discolored, and looks awful--half a cap on a chipped tooth that does not match the rest of my teeth at all. It's very noticeable and embarrassing. I remember crying on the chair because I was so overwhelmed. I trusted this office with my dental health and appearance, and instead I'm left with pain, failed dental work, and the need to see another dentist to fix everything. No clear solutions were offered, and I feel like my concerns were not taken seriously. & as embarrassing as it is, I have spent many sleepless nights just crying & stressed. I would strongly caution anyone considering treatment here. Dental work is expensive and painful enough--patients deserve quality care, proper crowns, and to leave pain-free. This office is unlike other dentists because in some ways you actually enjoy going. They are all very nice and friendly, and do a good job explaining what they're doing. When it comes to procedures, they've always been peaceful and gentle. And if it's something more challenging or stressful, they are patient in helping you through it. I continue going back to Kirk Family Dentistry (even though it's not close or convenient for me anymore) because I trust their expertise, and that they will do a great job. When it comes to services like dental work, having that peace of mind is the most important thing.
