R&L Quality Painting are one of the best! After receiving a few quotes we recently hired them to repaint the exterior of our home as well as two interior rooms. They offer very competitive pricing and exceeded our expectations. Earvin handled our back and forth communication flawlessly. Anytime we had a question he was very quick to respond and relayed any comments I had to the team. Unfortunately I was not able to be home for the majority of the project, but didn't worry as I spoke with Ruben, who leads the team and knew he had us covered. It was great to get home from work and see how much progress they made each day. Ruben made sure to address any concern we had and even stayed late the last day on site to address any small touch ups that we could find (there were very few). The team masked off everything appropriately and cleaned up very thoroughly after the job was complete. Ruben had great recommendations on color and paint type and we could not be more thrilled with the outcome. Our house feels brand new to us now and we have received many compliments from the neighbors in the short time since we had the work done. If I could give 0 stars I would. Let me start by saying that this is the third time I have had cabinets painted. Same wood, same carpenter actually. So I knew what my cabinets should have looked like. I did my research and R&L Painting had great reviews. I met with Gabe for a quote and I felt comfortable moving forward with hiring them for the job. Prior to the start of the job I went over all of my expectations. I wanted to be sure that the cabinets were prepped, any roughness and lines were filled and emphasizing that I wanted sprayed cabinets that were SMOOTH. I was assured that they could do what I wanted. I was surprised to hear that my cabinets were finished on day two and that they were ready for a walk through. Upon the walk through I found places where they cabinets weren't painted AT ALL. I have inset drawers and the drawers weren't taken off to be painted. There were paint drips, paint on my new bathroom tile, over spray on my bathroom doors and new wood floors. I'm still trying to clean the paint off my floors. Brush marks and roller marks everywhere. I could not believe what I was seeing. My BRAND NEW custom cabinets ruined! They asked to fix it and so I gave them a fair shot. Still the cabinets looked awful and we were insulted when the painter told us that they weren't smooth because we have "cheap cabinets". They were CUSTOM. Definitely not cheap and we have had these exact same cabinets in a previous home and loved them. So definitely not the quality of the cabinets. Now we have to find someone to refinish my brand new cabinets which will cost more because they will have to sand down the paint. This has caused so much stress. If they didn't feel they could accomplish my expectations then they should have turned down the job. read more

One job I had involved several items: the repainting of a shed and repair and repainting of the main house fascia, also repair and repainting of several window frames, etc. Earvin was prompt and professional with helping us figure out the job estimates and coordinate the work times. His efficiency made all the various job elements come together well. I especially like that he is a careful and detailed person and a good listener and understood what the job specifics entailed. When he came to do the estimate he wrote everything down and was reassuring they would take care of even the smallest of my concerns. Ruben is definitely experienced and professional at executing the work. He's fantastic. He is competent, friendly and personable and eager to do the job how I have it envisioned. Not only that, but his years of experience and his own creativity - helped me resolve some how-to questions and he came up with some great solutions for me to choose from. We're another happy customer! This father (Ruben) & son (Earvin) team are great guys and their crew does great work of terrific quality. Earvin provided our timely and fairly-priced estimate, and handled flexible scheduling and communications. Ruben led the painting crew. We wanted very specific Dunn-Edwards paint products (i.e. top-of-the-line) which they provided as specified. Unlike many house painters, they applied paint primarily with brushes and rollers --- only used spray for the eaves. We had a few minor add-ons and adjustments as the inside/outside work progressed, which the crew handled with no problems and no cost. We can't recommend them more enthusiastically! read more

We are completely happy with the job R&L Quality Painting did for us. Rueben and his helper were a pleasure to work with and they obviously take pride in their work. Job included not only painting of the house but replacement of some the wood on the house and additional painting of a fence. They did an excellent job on all proving they are actually craftsmen and were polite gentlemen all the time. I had this company come back after a very unprofessional painter did our baseboards and casings leaving seams and not filling in cracks they looked terrible.
