We were on the Southside and decided to try R&R Extreme Wings for the first time. I got the catfish dinner. It came with 2 pieces of catfish, fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. The hush puppies were wonderful! The fries needed seasoning and the catfish was served hot but was a thin fillet. Because of the thinness, there was a lot of breading to very little fish. The flavor was good though. My wife went with the staple and got the wings. We got two of the sauces. We tried the mild Buffalo and the Cajun Chili. The Buffalo has a slight bit of a kick. The Cajun was good but very messy. We liked it but would try another option next time. The wings were small with not much meat. The size is smaller than those you would get at BW3. We had left over wings and they heated up nicely in the air fryer ... the Cajun wings were not as messy the second time around. The staff was very friendly. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered suggestions. They greeted everyone that came in and wished them a good day as they left. On our way home we noticed an R&R on the Northside, off Michigan RD. We will give them a try again at that location. read more

Awesome staff!!! Went for lunch on a Thursday, special was 6 wings, fries and a drink! Over 20 sauce options and they even put sauce in the fries!!! Tried the habanero, mango habanero and the founders sauce! Loved the mango habanero but the founders was more of a sweet baby rays flavor but it was still good! Loved the fries with the spicy ranch and garlic Parmesan!!! Super delicious!!!! They have a full bar too!!!! The music playing was an awesome 90's mix and all the food was piping hot!!!! Definitely will be back! Only suggestion is maybe add a few pictures on the windows to know your there!!!! read more

Whatever happened to the wing shortage? Well, anyway, this is a new wing shop on the Southside. It is part of a small local chain that serves up some delicious wings. They have a large dining room and bar seating. There are a couple of televisions around the dining area to watch. They were playing sports while I was there, without sound. They have some nice classic soul music playing throughout the dinig area. There are tons of parking available in the private lot that it shares with the other businesses located in strip mall it is in. You place your order at a small hostess station off to the side and then you get your wings from the bar. They run a 6-wing combo lunch special, which I got. They serve traditional, tenders, and boneless wings. Some of their sauces include honey barbecue, teriyaki, honey garlic, sweet & spicy, sweet mustard, sweet chili, hot habanero, spicy ranch and panda orange. After a long deliberation, I got the Cajun Chili sauce on my wings. It took about 15 minutes for them to prepare my wings. They were hot fresh and good. The sauce is baked into the wings. Normally, I like my wings to be wet, but these worked for me. The staff there was very friendly, helpful and courteous. First class all the way. This restaurant has been only open less than week, but I see them having a bright future. read more

We ordered delivery so I didn't get to check out the ambience, but everything in the order was correct and packaged well. Everything was priced really well. Just around $8 for boneless wings and fries. I thought the boneless wings were just ok but my mom really liked them. The fries were good. There are a ton of sauce flavors to choose from. I tried the hot habanero and it was flavorful and not too spicy. Skip the coleslaw - it came in a condiment cup and just wasn't worth it. The mozzarella sticks were good and reasonably priced. The only thing I was missing was celery. It just feels wrong eating wings without celery. read more

There were three of us in our group, so we ordered three meals. My son ordered the boneless wings and fry combo. I will start by saying I am one who believes boneless wings should be called what they are: chicken nuggets!! This was for a 12 yo though, so if he wants boneless "wings", fine. The boneless wings here are processed chicken! Now whether or not, they grind the chicken on-site, I don't know, but at a locally owned place, one would expect the boneless wings to be breast meat and breast meat that has not been sent through a food processor or grinder. My meal was the perch dinner with fries and coleslaw. Overall, it was pretty okay and it comes with a huge portion of fish. However, the fish was over seasoned and very salty and the coleslaw was served in a condiment cup. A CONDIMENT cup!! I'm talking a condiment cup like you might put ketchup or other condiments in at self-serve condiment counters in many fast food places. It was literally three bites of coleslaw. Lastly, my husband had the chicken sandwich and fry combo and had no complaints other than "combo" here only means one side, but no drink. Not sure if this is their standard or just an "off" day. Service was friendly and fast! Ordering at the counter we were instantly greeted and they had answers for all our questions. My fiancée is on keto so wings are always a safe bet! He's already picking out his sauces for our next visit but raved over the spicy ranch sauce! They had a full bar and I love a frozen drink and it was phenomenal!! We will be back! Give it a try! Stopped by on Saturday 7/27 and it looks like this place has closed for good. The sign was taken off the building and is sitting on the floor inside. All furniture was removed from the building as well. They had recently updated the days they were open to only be Thursday-Saturday, so guess things weren't going well? Great restaurant. Can only speak to the boneless wings on their wings, but some of the best ones I've had so I would imagine their traditional wings are great too. A huge variety of sauces to choose from so I'd imagine almost anybody that enjoys wings will see something that will hit their spot. Have had their onion rings and mozzarella sticks, and both were fantastic. Recommend both. When I try it out again, looking to try their fried biscuits and French fries. The mozzarella sticks and onion rings definitely set the bar high for their sides. They also have tenders, cauliflower wings, chicken and fish sandwiches. We got the tenders and chicken sandwich. Tenders were juicy and had a good amount of breading. I had the spicy garlic on the side and I'm glad I did because it had some good heat. My husband had mild on his sandwich since we were warned the hot habanero was so next time, he'll get the spicy garlic or try something else. If we would have came in for the Thursday special, 5 stars, but paying full price and taking over double the time given, decided on 4. At the end we noticed a lot of door dash orders so they just must have their orders ahead of our dine in. If we lived nearby, we would probably be regulars. read more

I used to love r&r the food for the most part is good the employees are always welcoming and the ambiance of this restaurant is a vibe. The traditional wings always are great. I can't not mention the variety of sauces founders fave and garlic parm is my go to on my fries. The catfish at this place is very thin mostly bread. The boneless wings have a very weird texture. The chicken tenders are always very salty and the fries are never seasoned. At this point I would only recommend getting a chicken salad from here. read more

I've been here 3 times this week. First time while I was at work we ordered out, then with my son Thursday and today to take my wife to try it. The wings are delicious. Traditional is my favorite, boneless was good they were big pieces of chicken. And today I had the chicken sandwich. I did order the spicy but I don't think I received a spicy and that's okay it was still good. Cooked well and it was really juicy. The fries weren't anything special. But I did try them with Parmesan garlic sauce on them. So good. The honey garlic sauce is my favorite so far. The staff is very friendly!! They are social and nice and welcoming. The building isn't large but there is enough seating. It's clean and you can tell they take pride in their restaurant. I'm so glad to have a good wing spot on the south side! Had the naked wings at a recent party, they were absolutely delcious! Decided to order tonight and to try the breaded tonight. The breading was horrific, super soggy, just disgusting! I also paid extra to get all flats -that didnt happen. Of the 20 I ordered, I couldnt get past the 2nd one -threw them out. I also ordered a side of hush puppies -they were over cooked and super dry, and the drink I got was not the drink I ordered. Complete waste of $40. Super disappointed! read more

The food was delightful and the wings had a nice crisp on the outside which was outstanding. I got the sweet and spicy wings with the garlic wings out of those two the one I enjoyed most was the sweet and spicy. I've gone about 5 times and everyone in there was fantastic every time I've gone. All the sauces I've tried had great flavor and the bone in wings were perfectly cooked and sauced.
