Given the review that was first on here we were naturally a bit reserved in doing business with them but the staff made us comfortable and was very generous with time and explanation. The price was good and the time spent at their desk was minimal. The facility was well stocked and brand new. We decided to give it a shot and are happy with what we bought and how they treated us. Naturally you must always also consider what happens if things go awry, as Vicky's story and photos illustrate. I think the owner put effort in to fix but lots of in-hindsight bad decisions seem to be made by both sides. So, long story short, we went here, got a good deal and the exact trailer we wanted, good advice and speedy service. Hope this adds some balance to the rating. For trailers you can tow home: 0 worries that this is a great place to buy from. When putting shippers in the middle? Not sure if any place would come out clean.

They are supposed to honor ATC warranty work because they sell them there. At first they were helpful in servicing the trailer under warranty, but then decided not to service my trailer that was still under warranty. They told me it was because I didn't buy it from them, even though they are one of the biggest dealers of ATC in the Midwest. They also said they weren't going to sell them anymore because of quality issues, even though I see them for sale in front of the dealership every time I drive by. When I purchased it, they were all sold out because of Covid. I bought it in Indiana knowing they sold and serviced them In Kalamazoo. It's like having a Chevy dealership unwilling to fix a Chevy under warranty. I ended up having to sell it because they were the ones I was depending on to work on it. I lost 10k in the transaction. Luckily the person buying it from me was out of state and would never ever need Premier Custom Trailers for warranty work. What a nightmare they created for me as a customer! Do not deal with this company if you value your sanity and your dignity. My biggest financial regret in recent memory. On top of it, there is an attitude that quickly shifts against you if they no longer care about helping you. Avoid!

Let me just say that customer service at the level that they provide is very rare today. There was a bit of miscommunication on one of the features on the trailer I was looking at and when I came to pick it up was disappointed to see the trailer didn't have what I was expecting. Steve was extremely apologetic, had the feature added to the trailer and delivered it to my house 2 hours away the following week. He could have very easily told me "oh well" but did the complete opposite. He was exactly what I look for in a dealership. I will definitely recommend him to any friends looking for a trailer and will make sure that if I find myself in the market for another trailer will make sure to head to Trailers Midwest!!

The icing on the cake is when all the cabinets in the trailer had poor shelving and wouldn't hold anything. When I contacted Octane, they gave me the phone number for the cabinet company they buy from and asked me to talk to them directly. It took me 3 months to resolve the issue, and they still aren't right. When I finally contacted the owner directly, and asked him if he were to buy a new truck, and the radio didn't work, would he expect the dealer to fix it, of provide him with a phone number to Bose? All I got was crickets. Money already in their pocket, and they move on, regardless of how bad, or how many issues you have.

Even though there was an issue with the left twilight not working, they sent me to the factory, and gave me a new spare on the rim for the trouble. The wiring on that side of the trailer was the problem from the factory, not caused by John's. They made it MORE than right, and I was very pleased by their decision, it said a lot about their business practices.
