Countless pasty variety, great beer selection, cozy, almost medieval style atmosphere. A favorite of my for a while
We were greeted right away and seated ourselves, then a hostess quickly came over to take our order and gave great suggestions. Even though they were busy, our food came out in about 10 minutes. Everything was fresh and delicious--the meat pies were perfectly crispy on the outside and generously filled inside. The space has a darker, old-school bar vibe, making it a cool spot to hang out at night, but also great for a morning visit like ours. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to try a variety of meat pies!

Oggy pasty with steak was quite good. I would have loved a cream sauce on the side in addition to the gravy. Overall a tad dry but flavorful nonetheless. The menu looked pretty used up so would suggest throwing out the stained ones.
Cornish Pasty Co. in Scottsdale is a great place to relax, enjoy some unique comfort food, and take in a nice atmosphere. We sat out on the patio, and even though it's located along a main road, it didn't feel that way at all. There are trees that create a nice barrier between the street and the seating area, which gives the space a peaceful and tucked-away feel. I ordered the French Dip Pasty, and it was delicious. While it didn't come with a traditional au jus, the alternative sauce they provided worked really well with the flavors. The pasty was rich, filling, and cooked perfectly. The fries were also excellent--crispy, well seasoned, and served hot. Portion sizes here are generous. Two people could easily share one pasty and an order of fries, or if you're going solo, expect to take half of it home. It's a great value for the quality and amount of food. It did seem like they were a little understaffed when we went, but our waitress handled it like a pro. She stayed attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving smoothly even with a full house. This spot has great energy, solid food, and a laid-back vibe. I'll definitely be coming back to try more pasties and enjoy the patio again.

my first time at this location and they did not disappoint! their location setup is perfect for the summer with their patio and part of the bar seats being outside. this was also a great spot to watch the Mexico v England game. my go to pasty is the lamb vindaloo or cajun chicken, but instead I got the royale - which tasted like an in n out burger. so delicious! the servers were also great and gave recommendations when we couldn't decide on what we wanted to drink. i'll def be back!
I came here on a whim and left totally impressed! The vibe is cozy with a cool edge, and the food? Seriously delicious. Our server Hayley made the experience even better--she was warm, attentive, and knew the menu well. We started with the Spanakopita Cocktail Pasties, served with creamy tzatziki--flaky, flavorful, and the perfect appetizer. Then came The Royale Signature Pasty, which were rich, hearty, and layered with bold taste in every bite. Total comfort food with personality. Everything was so well done, from the crisp pastry to the seasoning. Highly recommend if you're craving something indulgent and unique. Bonus points for stellar service and a welcoming atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!
I would like to give this 5 stars, but they were out of so many menu items. We went on a Thursday and they were even out of hot tea. They do one thing well and that is a pasty (bread pastry) filled with savory meats. I had a chicken one that was so dry, thank goodness I had two drinks. My companions had the Guinness and steak and theirs were moist and melt in your mouth. So be careful what you order. If I was rating the dry chicken alone, this would not be as high as review. Service was a bit weird and not having half the things on the menu, even weirder. The prices are a bit expensive for a pastry shell and meat, but I would try it again.
Love this Cornish location, they're located in old town scottsdale, and their outside sitting is sooo cute. Of course, their indoor sitting is cozy as well :) Got tomato soup, it came with two bread pieces and butter, just perfect pair for tomato soup. And got fries with cheddar and jalapeno, sooo good! I know their pasty is so good, but their other dishes are also really good. Can't wait to go back on a sunny day, sitting outside and eating pasty :)
What a delicious experience! We just found our new go-to place to take out of town guests! The patio is lovely in great weather and wraps around the place. The interior looks like a legit English pub. The menu is huge. Here's my only gripe: they have a ton of pasty options, but were also out of a ton on a Sunday night. I wanted the Vegan Vindaloo and they were out. Boo. Minus a star. Got the potato, rutabaga, onion, and cheese and it was phenomenal. 5 stars. My 11yo daughter also loved it. My husband had the chicken pot pie and also raved and raved. Said it was the best CPP he's ever had. My son had bacon wrapped meatballs (he didn't want a pasty) and homemade bread--not worth it. He loved the meatballs. They were also out of the daily rotating vegan soup (ugh) and I really wanted that. The French fries were good and fresh potatoes with skin on. I definitely can't wait to go back! Pricey... left with one beer, 3 pasty, meatballs, bread, and side of curry potatoes and $95 poorer. Super delish though!
I've never quite understood the enthusiasm over this place. I've been to another location as well. I feel like the food should be so much better for such an original creative concept menu but both times kind of fell short for me. I went on a Saturday night and it was busy which we expected. Service was pretty meh. I had the Guinness pasty which was a bit soggy and not very flavorful. The meatball appetizer I ordered was great though! We also had wings which were tasty but a little dry. Some other appetizers and food was ordered but no one was overly impressed. They were out of the chicken pot pie and out of some beers we chose. Again not a deal breaker but just disappointing. Love the location of this one and was walking distance from my house. Perhaps if I go again I'll try something different and have a more favorable experience!
We came on St. Patrick's Day, which may have been our first mistake. They were busier than I'd ever seen them. The bartender who served us wasn't friendly at all and rarely came back to check on us. He hastily took our orders and gave curt one-word answers to any question we asked about the menu. I ordered the veggie chicken tikka masala and was told that they were out of that. When he came back 20 minutes later, I ordered the veggie cottage pie but was told that they were also out of that. As a last resort, I got the vegan hatch chili "burger" and asked that they put regular cheese (not vegan cheese) in it. As the bartender started to walk off, he mumbled that they're all premade so I can't change the cheese. I didn't have any time to order something fresh and not premade, because the bartender was already onto the next thing. One hour later, my premade microwave-style pasty was placed in front of me. It looked distinctly different than the two meat pasties my friends had ordered, which we saw them making fresh in the restaurant's kitchen while grabbing water at the water station. That's another thing... The bartender said that we had to get up and walk across the restaurant to fetch water from the water station instead of just serving us water at the bar. Needless to say, my pasty was hard and tasted like a TV dinner. The round non-padded seats at the outdoor bar were uncomfortable. Today, I was reminded why the last time I visited a Cornish Pasty was over a decade ago. See you again in 2036.
GranTyke GrandCanyon RoadTrip Episode 7 "We've been all starving hungry like, but really should have known...That we wouldn't get a proper meal, like the ones we get back in Cornwall.. No one makes a pasty like the Cornish"..:) We settled in late lunch like at the "Cornish Pasty".. The GranTyke crunched with smiles on her "Lamb Mint" Pasty so good.. The Lass politely scrunched with glee on her "Lovely Bit of Salmon" Pasty.. The Lad roughly munched with drool on his "Guinness Stew" Pasty.. All pasty had a wonderful, flavourful, flakey crust with tasty fillings. Washed down with.. A "Hibiscus Green Iced Tea"by the Women Folk and.. A "Koffee Kolsch Beer" by The Lad. Lunch. Pies are good. Desserts, dangerously good! Service was chill and atmosphere was dark with classic rock with volumes down. If elevated pub grub was a thing, this'll be it. Vegan options too, so don't be shy. read more
Fun vibes in a beautiful Irish Pub with historic-feeling decor. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, with an open air bar. Open-ish kitchen where you can see the chefs making pasties fresh. The Rosemary Steak ($19) Pasty was large, filling, flavorful, and delicious. I really appreciated how they split it for us. Hailey was the only one staffed that night and she was amazing :) read more

My husband used to visit scottsdale all the time & loves this place. So since we were passing through on vacation we stopped. My son & I were set on the Reuben but they were out, he got the meatballs (LOVED THEM). I got a salad & bread pudding. I loved the decor, I do not know how to explain it but it was funky, comfy & VERY welcoming. We only interacted with our server but she was great. read more

The theme here is pretty cool as it gave me a haunted house vibe. The décor and lighting was great and they made sure the AC was on blast. We were told to pick a table once we walked in and the server quickly came on over to drop off the menus. We ordered a salad and three pasties. 1 Scotch Salad - mixed greens, bacon, roasted turkey, scotch egg, cherry tomato, cucumber, cheddar, red onion with ranch 1 Chicken Pot Pie Pasty - carrots, red potato, green beans, celery, and onion 1 Ogie Pasty - Steak, potato, onion, and rutabaga 1 Pesto Chicken Pasty - Portobello, artichoke, mozzarella, and pesto The salad came out first and it was nice and cold. The turkey was beyond salty so we picked it all out and put it to the side as it was inedible. The Scotch egg was interesting and we enjoyed it as we had never tried one before. The pasties came out together and we dug in. All three of them were hot and crispy but unfortunately, they all lacked flavor. The fillings were plain and very flavorless. We each ate half and took the other half home as they are pretty big. Service was excellent the whole time as our server was attentive and checked up on us several times. Overall, not sure if maybe it was an off day for the cook but I wasn't impressed with the food. Salty turkey and flavorless pasties :/ read more
The seating is open, so when you arrive, feel free to choose any table. I wasn't greeted when I visited this first time and wandered the restaurant a little lost before I was told that I could seat myself anywhere. After that, service was solid and my server was helpful with recommendations etc. I ordered the beef cottage pie, the banoffee pie, and the Oggie to take home. The cottage pie was really good. The red wine gravy that comes on the side is a great addition to what I thought would be a dry pasty. The pasty was piping hot, dough was baked perfectly, and a good combination of peas and carrots, grilled onions, mashed potatoes and cheddar. The size of the pasty was filling. I didn't need the banoffee pie, but I wanted to try it. The banoffee pie was a sugar overload. I honestly didn't know what I was expecting. It's literally a caramel pie with a side of graham cracker crust, whip cream and bananas. I would have taken that home with me too, but that amount of sugar was too too much for me. Unless you're a huge sugar-holic, I think this dessert could be shared between four people and consumed with coffee, could also be paired well with a good whisky too. The Oggie that I took home, had not been baked yet, so I was able to cook it in a toaster oven the next day. When you look at the contents of the Oggie, it's pretty similar, minus the rutabaga. It tasted very similar to the beef cottage pie, but the flavors of the cottage pie were better. I've not had a pasty before, so my experience is limited to this one time, but I'm very satisfied to have had my first at Cornish Pasty Co. I would definitely dine here again. read more

This is comfort food as it's best! They have everything from meat to vegan options for these hand pies! We went right when they opened to get the best selection. Cozy interior and outdoor seating as well. The sign said there was free parking across the street if you don't get the limited street parking. Tried the classic pilgrim and a vegan pot pie flavor and both were awesome! We will be back to try more flavors! read more

The food was excellent! I can really appreciate delicious fresh food made from scratch. My party of seven all got different meat pies. I would describe them similar to a chicken pot pie, but with various fillings. OK, I'll come with a dipping sauce that complements the pie as well. Everything came out hot and was very little wait time. The service was great. This is a unique niche restaurant tucked away in the outskirts of old townScottsdale. One of the people in our party is from New Zealand and she sought out this restaurant because it reminds her of home, kind of like Australian meat pies. My daughter loved the homemade lemonade. read more
I've been to all of the Cornish Pasty locations, but the one on Scottsdale is my favorite! It's dark and cozy inside and they also have a great patio. Their vegan pasties are awesome. My favorite is the Guinness Stew and I prefer it with the vegan gravy rather than the tahini sauce that comes with it. Great service too! read more
This was the first time I've ever had a pasty and I was not disappointed. I was slightly disappointed that the first options I wanted were sold out, but even getting my 3rd choice was delicious. We started with the scotch eggs and they were amazing. I loved the mustard dressing with it. They were hot and flavorful! The Reuben pasty I got was really really good. It has just the right amount of cheese to sauerkraut to meat ratio. This can be eaten by hand, but I use a fork. They each also come with a sauce that is catered to what you order. Overall, it really was a nice dinner after a day at the zoo. Service was just okay. I felt like she was bothered that she had to work or that we were there. These are also bigger than they look. You can easily share one and be plenty full! We are outside because the weather was just gorgeous. Lots of seating outdoors and indoors. Limited parking though. read more
We came in after what was said to be there busiest weekend ever so most menu options weren't available which was a bummer. Our waitress was really cool and walked us through the menu items they did have available still. I ended up getting a cup of the spicy chicken soup and the pilgrim pasty. The soup was so good and not that spicy. A cup was a much bigger serving than expected and could've been my meal! The Pilgrim pasty was Thanksgiving dinner is every bite. We sat on the patio which is a really relaxed atmosphere that has cute twinkling lights. Dogs are allowed on the patio which is always a huge plus! read more
I got the Cubano. I really liked it with the flaky buttery crust that had a good amount of meat inside so it wasn't just the pastry. The Guinness vegan stew one was not that great. The flavors didn't seem to go well. Seemed to have too much Guinness flavor. I do think that with regular meat it would have worked and been better but the vegetarian option didn't seem to work. The bread was just ok basically sliced baked bread with a side of butter. Basically anyone or place can do this easily. Service was great and the outdoor patio is dog friendly. read more

Located in oldtown Scottsdale Cornish Pasty has an impressive eating and drinking menu. Not pretentious ambiance and decor make it more of a large hole in the wall place than an average dinning experience. Cleanliness is not the best. Beer wise selection is fantastic and I ordered my all time favorite Hefeweizen beer Franziskaner but it tasted awful. Either keg was old or beer was stale but something very amiss. I settled for white Belgian beer which was good. Baked fries were great. Pasties were disappointing. Frankly they were too dry and no amount of sauce could have fixed it. Other pasties that were featured on Yelp as must have (such as Cubano) we're not available. Service was good, making otherwise uncomfortable experience much better. Still I would not come here on a regular bases for anything except drinks... read more

I have never been to this location just the one in Tempe. Loved the ambiance and there was so much space! I ordered the Prickly Lemonade along with the Pilgrim and house made fries with garlic and some jalapeños on the side. While the food was delicious, what stood out was the amazing service. Thomas and James (oh I hope I got it right) were super attentive to our needs making sure we we good throughout the night. We never wanted for anything: it honestly was refreshing to know that this level of service still exists. We promised the guys we will be back to do shots LOL. Loved the vibe here as well as the food and drink. read more
Let's start with the positives: Patio area is huge; dog friendly; has heaters Plenty of vegetarian options Drinks are reasonably priced For the not so positives: I feel like it's expensive for what it is. (Comparing it to the Pop Pie company in San Diego which is around $11). The bread alone is $5. The vegan Guinness stew is one of the recommended vegan dishes and it's on the bitter side probably from too much Guinness (regular beef would have complimented this flavor but the vegan beef didn't so much in my opinion). I personally didn't like any of the dips. They ran out of the potato leek soup. My partner liked his Cubano but not the mustard horseradish dip. read more
I love that this place offers drink and comfort food. Especially the assortment of Vegan friendly offerings it really makes it easy to come with anyone and all find something we like. I've had the Vegan Oggie in the past and recall it being really tasty, I got the Vegan Pot Pie this last visit, it was good but I would skip if looking for a wow factor. Took a Vegan Cubano home half baked to finish up in the air fryer and that was a 10/10 rec received from the Server who was kind and very helpful. While I prefer the DT Phoenix location simply for location this spot definitely didn't miss otherwise read more
