I have the $28 membership and it is unlimited car-washes. 1) Unlimited soap & water wash and vacuum with the $28 membership 2) If you are in a hurry its best you know that your car will need another wash because both the rinse & dryer vent wont do a good job and you will need to do a final dry yourself, they do provide drying towels. 3) I suggest you dont bring in your car through if you have a nice paint job, it will damage it ( any drive through wash will ) My car has a few scuffs from this place now but im okay with it because i have yet to get a new paint job done. 4) it will damage your roof antenna if you have one. 5) It will damage your rims with what i find to be permanantly stained now 6) it dispenses a small amount of soap, maybe that is the reason why my paint job is being damaged? 7) it does not scrub as well as other drive-through car washes. 8) you are gifted one hanging cardboard card with RacewayExpress logo fragranced air freshener for every time you get a carwash and a drying towel on the day you get your membership 9) the soap is low quality and will aventualy damage your paint clear coat, but the low quality suits the price "you get what you pay for" (Heads-up for the membership buyers) Over all the price isnt bad for the membership, plus unlimited car washes, two stars because of the damages done to the car body panels and paint, which RacewayExpress clearly states is not liable for, I find that reasonable. Also the self drying hassle otherwise your car will look as bad as it did before it went through. My review are more so towards the engineers design of the drive through wash.The employees are kind and keep the place nice and clean. The woman attendant will try to get you to purchase a monthly membership even after you've said no numerous times. Then when you ask what's the most basic (cheapest) car wash, instead of telling you it's $10, she still tries to get you to pay for the most expensive. pulled into the one lane that was pretty long, went to the empty lane where the machine to pay would not take a payment because it was for members only! The attendant standing in the lane next to me would not let me know that a payment could not be taken. Had to back out and go into the other lane, the one lane with a number of vehicles. Once you get to the attendant, there is no machine to pay, instead you have to listen to their sales pitch, even if you say "no thanks." The top wash was $22.00. Had to wait longer for the. Arm to lift. Finally lightly honked, and the attendant said "you have to be patient!" And then postured with her arms! They didn't tape my back windshield wiper. The blower did not dry my car, had to wipe it down with an extra towel I had in the trunk. Quality in service is less than desirable and having to deal with the poor attitude from employees and listen to their sales pitch was not worth my money or time. When I came out of the car wash I noticed my passenger side mirror was moved by the equipment to point in a direction where I could see nothing (this happens every time). I moved up in case another car was coming out behind me, got out, went to the other side of the car to nudge the mirror back in place before pulling out on Imperial road. This all took under 20 seconds. By the time I got back over to the driver's side a man who I was later told was the owner came over and confronted me for blocking the lane. I have been a monthly member at this car wash for over 4 years, and have always had to fix my mirror upon coming out. In 4 years I have never even seen a car come out of the wash who had to wait on me. This guy should have a bit more patience in working with his customers if he wants to stay in business. If I wanted to complain (which I have never done before) I would talk about how my car is never really clean after going through the wash but I have put up with it. At the raceway car wash location in Norwalk to charge a membership at the highest value that I did not authorize. She gave me a sales pitch 4 times and I consistently said no all 4 times. I asked for an override in the system to cancel all transactions and refund me and she stated it's my responsibility to do that on the QR code and my information will not be in the system for a couple of days since they need to enter it. She said her system is live and it's not valid to do it. I have never had this fraud be committed at a car wash place and quite frankly it's disappointing and disturbing as this happened to the car in front of me and behind me. The police have also been called to handle this matter and warned me this is a known issue with this place. Staff was friendly; helped me process my payment to avoid awkward stretching out of the window and folded the mirrors in for me. No line up and the wash was very good. My car was so dusty with old dry dirt and with the mid level wash it came out looking clean and shiny. I'm no car wash expert but the dryers seemed a bit weaker than other places; I noticed some watermarks on back bumper but overall mostly dry. We've been long term membership customers since even before the new management took over. We came for a car wash today with our two young kids who love seeing that rainbow wax. It was a very busy day at the wash and we were just waiting for cars to move forward. It seemed like the attendants were manning the scanners and helping customers through more than they usually are (we thought maybe the scanners were down or being wonky). When we were one car away from the gate arm, an employee named Chris walked back to our car and knocked pretty aggressively on the drivers window motioning for us to roll down the window. My husband went to reach for his mask and Chris kept knocking impatiently. Chris proceeds to tell us "Next time don't pull up so close to the car in front of you. You pulled up so close that it scanned your membership for that car." He rushed off without letting us say anything and the four of us were kind of left feeling uncomfortable. There was nothing we could do about the distance (which by the way, was NOT any closer than you would pull up to the car in front of you in any other drive-thru line). And there are no cones or lines to mark where cars should be spaced - trust me, I looked. When the car in front of us moved past the gate arm, we found our membership wasn't scanning. Chris wasn't immediately available so my husband asked another attendant nearby if she could help. He briefly explained that the other attendant (Chris) had told us that our membership scanned the car in front of us. She pushed a few buttons but nothing worked and soon Chris hustled back to our car. He scolded us again about being so close and asked for our membership number. He gestured like he was going to physically reach into our car before my husband started reading the numbers, He comes back and tells us our membership was listed under our previous car and asked us if we had gotten a new car. My husband said yes we had but we had been to this car wash multiple times a month, with no issue. Chris explained he could give us a new sticker and took off to the office again. Chris comes with the new sticker and physically reaches into our car to apply the sticker on the left side of the window. My husband stops him and asks him to not place the sticker there, as we don't want it in our line of site when we drive. Chris explains he was trying to help us because the placement of our previous sticker was the problem and it absolutely needed to be placed where he suggested. My husband was like, no, I'd really like to decide where I place my sticker in my car. That's when Chris pulled down his mask and started yelling at us telling my husband that he's been "copping nothing but attitude from the start" and that he was "terminating our membership effective immediately". Sir... over where a sticker goes? So my husband was like, ok my dude... just put the sticker there it's really not that big of a deal. But Chris continued to berate us at this point and told us to get out. He went to open the gate to let us out and walked back towards the office. My husband called after him, but Chris ignored him, so he pulled up and started honking repeatedly to get his attention. My husband said that he'd like a refund. Chris tells us "No! You're not getting a refund! I'm not refunding you! You broke the terms of the agreement. I can't refund you anyway!" My husband was like, I want a refund and that's when Chris said if we didn't leave he was calling the police. We left willingly. The police, really? First of all, we respect our law enforcement and community enough to know what an abuse and poor use of resources this would have been if they had been called. Second of all, not ONCE did my husband or myself curse or berate Chris during our interaction. Did the opportunity present itself? Absolutely. Especially while he was yelling at us with his mask down with our kids in the back or when he kept trying to reach into our car. But we hold more respect for ourselves and others. We are willing to accept responsibility on our part if we had moved too close to the car in front of us and it set off some chaotic chain of events. But someone needs to be held accountable for the level of unprofessionalism and unwarranted disrespect that Chris gave us today. Apparently he's a manager and that is very disappointing to hear that their leadership feels entitled to act this way. Just how many memberships have been revoked or customers turned away because Chris thought someone was having an attitude? Sorry to the cars behind us! We really didn't think it was going to escalate to any of that. We just wanted to see some rainbow wax. read more

Have been using this car wash for more than a year, and have been hoping they will upgrade their car wash facility, finally, under the new management, they got a brand new car wash facility! Yay! The staffs here are always extremely friendly and helpful. I have been a customer of this car wash for the last 5 years. I came every week, and always had a good experience. I have a leaky seal in my sunroof and the employees were always so kind to put tape over it. This only took about a minute or less. I always tipped them for their good work and kindness. Eventually they knew me by name and always had the tape out ready when I came. I always loved coming to the car wash on my lunch, until recently. When Russell Fischer got bought over and became Waterworks Express everything changed. Their new staff members rushed to my car, banged my mirrors in, often yelling at me when I didn't line up perfectly on the track and needed a little guidance. When I explained about the tape, they often complained. Today when I came, again I didn't line up perfectly and the Manager Chris aggressively hand signaled to me to move to the right. He was shaking his head that I didn't pull in perfectly. I could sense right away something was wrong with him, and that he was having a bad day. I drive a big SUV and its a tight turn, sometimes I need an extra set of eyes and a little patience. When I got on the track I was trying to make eye contact with him to ask if he could put a strip of blue tape on my sun roof. He was purposefully not making eye contact with me and went on to point to the instructions to have your car in neutral etc. I finally had to say "Excuse me sir, would you mind throwing a piece of tape on my roof so I don't get wet?" I explained they always did it in the past. He was furious, red in the face and loudly stated "We aren't supposed to do that, it takes up alot of time and holds up the line." I can certainly understand , but I wasn't asking for an auto detail job here, just one strip of blue painters tape for a customer who has been a monthly member for 5 years! I responded "I am surprised to hear you say that, they do it very time for years here." He responded "I'll do it this one time and I'll send you through but not anymore. You are rude, and we have had complaints about you." I was shocked as I was never told anything like this before. Its not a big deal, if you can't tape my roof thats ok. I am a paying customer, there is a professional and rational way to speak to customers. The way I was spoken to felt like a personal attack. I felt unsafe in my own car! I told Chris I was going to cancel my membership and he said " I would love it if you did that, in fact-there is our owner right there and he agrees!". When I went through the wash I could see him in my rear view mirror waving his hands around and yelling, looking at my car.There was a moment I felt a little scared because he was raising his voice the whole time - over a strip of tape! I will never come back here, and surely will inform the BBB at a minium. I hope no other person is mistreated at this car wash. This used to be Russell Car Wash and had to close for renovation since January. Now its under new management/owner. Before they went into renovation, they promised to give current unlimited plan holders a free month when they open for business again. When covid happened, I was not sure when they will open for business so I didn't much attention till I saw a credit card charge on 5/31/2020. Today when I asked for the free month offer, I was told the free month was already over. Seem like they opened some time around May and that was the free month. I did not get any reopening notification therefore SOL. Been a long time customer of this location, I feel undervalued. It would be nice if they would at least offer me something to feel appreciated. A refund for this month, a free wash, an upgrade wash or at least a towel and little tree air freshener. Something to feel valued like having a nice dessert to end the meal/wash... but nope, you wouldn't get it from here. They changed all the mechanics of the wash and my car looks clean when it got out from the wash. In the wash tunnel, before air dry end, there is a section of curtain looking rugs moving side by side as your car rolls by. I feel this doesn't do much cleaning. Previously have some sort of rollers which seem to clean more. Is this place better than other similar car washes nearby? No. Their prices are about the same as most places. During their renovation, I went to 5 n' Go Express Wash at 13410 Leffingwell Rd. Whittier, CA 90605. The service there is much better. Staff is always smiling and helpful.
