Based on prior positive experiences, I reached out to Stephens to come and do the repairs, having to remove a heavy grate, get down into the space and do the repairs, then test the sump pumps. Jose C and his partner Jesus were dispatched after scheduling and arrived within the designated window. They were communicative, expediant, and friendly throughout their visit. And most importantly, they fixed the float and tested the sump pumps to make sure everything was in working order. Great service!

From the initial phone call with Jeanette, to the technician coming out (same day!) the customer service has been top notch. Oscar answered all my questions about the issue with the AC unit and what was broken and options for repair. Knowing that the coming week had a heat wave in the forecast I was hopeful that the fix could happen quickly. Not even 3 days later they called to schedule a repair for end of week. They also provided an arrival time and showed up early! Freddy C and Renee came out and worked diligently to install a new AC and went the extra mile to trim some shrubs to make enough space for the outside unit. They were polite and considerate as I was working from home during the install. Later that day after they left I had to call to ask someone to come back because I was experiencing an issue with the auto shut off and Albert (? sorry if I got that wrong) answered and scheduled time for someone to come the next day. Not even 10 minutes later I got a call back from Albert and he said someone would be there in 30 minutes to take a look. Oscar came back and was able to fix the issue quickly. He was once again extremely professional and took the time to explain to me the issue and what he did to fix it. These guys work super hard and provided A+ service. I highly recommend.

They originally booked me for Saturday but told me they would call if an earlier appointment became available. To my surprise, they contacted me the very next day because of a cancellation. Our technician, Fabian, was outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. He took the time to explain what was causing the issue and also educated us on the importance of routine A/C maintenance to help prevent future problems. I really appreciated that he answered all of our questions without making us feel rushed. The entire experience, from scheduling to the repair, was excellent. It's hard to find a company that's responsive, honest, and reliable, but this one exceeded our expectations. We will definitely continue using them for all of our future heating and air conditioning needs. Highly recommend!

Extremely disappointed with Southwest HVAC…read more I called Southwest HVAC in April to have my AC serviced before summer because I have a newborn at home and wanted to make sure our system was reliable before the hot weather hit. I specifically took the initiative to have the unit maintained ahead of time because keeping my family comfortable and safe was a priority. During that visit, Southwest HVAC charged me $1,000 for a capacitor and a hard-start kit. I thought the price was extremely high, but I agreed to pay it because I trusted that I was paying for professional service and, more importantly, peace of mind that my AC would be ready for the summer. Fast-forward ONLY FIVE MONTHS and my AC won't even turn on. Naturally, I called Southwest HVAC expecting them to stand behind the work they had performed just five months earlier. Instead, I was told I would have to pay another $100 diagnostic fee just for them to come out and look at the system. That's what I find completely unacceptable. You charged me $1,000 to service and repair my AC, and less than five months later the system isn't even turning on--and your response is essentially, "Pay us another $100 and we'll take a look." If you are going to charge customers premium prices for HVAC work, I expect a reasonable level of accountability when the equipment fails shortly after you serviced it. I shouldn't have to pay another fee simply to find out whether the work I already paid you $1,000 for was done properly or whether the components you installed have failed. The timing is especially frustrating because I specifically had this work done BEFORE summer precisely so I wouldn't end up in this situation. I have a newborn in the house, and now I'm dealing with a non-functioning AC in the middle of summer after paying this company $1,000 for service only five months ago. $1,000 in April. AC completely dead in September. Another $100 just to get someone to diagnose it. That is not what I consider good customer service, and it certainly isn't what I expected when I paid Southwest HVAC to service my system. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion and comparing prices before giving this company your business. Based on my experience, I am extremely dissatisfied with both the service and the way they handled the situation afterward.

Then the day before the appointment, they told me it would be another month and a half before someone could come out. I asked what happened to the appointment I already booked, and they admitted they had been straight-up lying to me when they told me it was booked - even though I had confirmed it with them multiple times. They said it's their policy to book appointments, giving a specific time and date, and confirm the appointment with the customer, and only after that check if they actually have a tech available. And then for some reason, not bother telling the customer if there's an issue with the appointment they booked. If they had told me from the beginning it would be 2 months, I would have gone with another company. Instead, I spent 3 weeks in miserable heat with a malfunctioning AC. I just don't understand why they would lie to customers, and say they booked an appointment when they didn't really book it.

. 1 Star…read more Don't even bother wasting your time with this company. Extremely unprofessional, and I definitely would not recommend them. I contacted them simply to get an estimate for installing new units in a property that is already gutted. Instead of providing an estimate, they wanted to charge a fee to "check" each individual unit. Check what exactly? The units are gutted. There's nothing there to diagnose or troubleshoot. I wasn't asking them to repair an existing system--I was asking for a straightforward estimate for brand-new units and installation. It felt like they were more interested in finding ways to charge inspection fees than actually earning the job. Save yourself the time and call a company that actually wants your business.
