4/5 Octopus $19.50- really good, slightly spicy aftertaste, chewy but not extremely so, was difficult to slice tho, loved the sweet grape tomatoes, radish is crunchy but wish it had more flavor/seasoning but since it's raw I guess it makes sense 3/5 crab croquettes $16- the tartar sauce is prolly the best I've ever had l, crab cakes itself were decent, the beets on top added a nice crunch & the lemon a bit more flavor 4/5 rigatoni con salsa allá vodka $22- really good, creamy, sauce, pasta perfectly cooked

A great Italian restaurant in forest hills. The burrata appetizer was great and fresh. It went well the cherry tomatoes and balsamic vinegar. The pasta were good and well seasoned. The pastas are homemade. Service was good. Good restaurant for a date night.

The owner came over and introduced himself, informing my dining partner and I about the night's specials and the best wine to pair with them. His brother, the chef, brought out the entrees. We ordered the Fried Calamari and Shrimp appetizer; the Lasagna Verde and the Halibut with Francese Sauce entrees; and the Tiramisu dessert. The appetizer was a bit salty, and the entrees were lacking for me a little bit, but the dessert was quite tasty. All entree portions were large enough for two people; the dessert, one person. The homemade bread that came to the table was good, especially when I dipped it in extra virgin olive oil, grated cheese and red pepper. Big shout out to the owners who gave us free shots of their homemade Limoncello. Definitely check this place out if you want fresh Italian food in a chic atmosphere that has a small bar scene.

A group of 5 of us visited Radici on a Friday night around 7:00pm. There are plenty of metered parking around and it is free after 7:00pm. Inside, the restaurants atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The menu serves authentic Italian flavors, pasta, calzone, pizza, and other typical Italian dishes like chicken parm. We got a complimentary basket of house focaccia. The focaccia was warm and very tasty. I ordered the Radici Spritz which was pretty much Aperol Spritz and it was good. We ordered the Fritto Misto di Mare to share. I think the calamari rings and tentacles could have been more golden and crispy. I ordered the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese. The tagliatelle was fresh and the bolognese had a lot of meat. My friends ordered a Pizza alla nutella to share for dessert. It was calzone shaped and filled with nutella with strawberries on top. I don't care for nutella so I didn't give this a try. Unfortunately, it was quite loud and hard to hear during our visit cuz of all the groups of people having conversations. Service was really great and friendly. He kept on checking if we needed anything. Overall, I do not think I will be coming back to Radici since the food was just okay and there are a lot better Italian restaurants elsewhere. It was a nice experience though.

This is a combo review from 2 separate dining experiences. Very popular Italian restaurant that makes their own pasta fresh. The interior feels very warm and quaint. I enjoyed most of the food except for the carbonara which was tasteless and a little too watery and the lasagna (not pictured) which came out partially burnt on top and not edible. However the sauce for the lasagna was amazing-meaty and very hearty. Really loved the steak and the branzino. The seafood pasta dish would be my go to if we eve go again for pasta. Desserts were only ok. Not the best tiramisu or panna cotta. Service was very friendly. They get pretty busy so definitely make reservations.

6.10.26 We started off with the fried calamari combo which was lightly battered, and maybe not that crispy. Then for the mains, we had the verde lasagna and the halibut special with zucchini risotto. The lasagna was served lukewarm. Everything was average, including the drinks and tiramisu. Not bad, but also not great. The sauces could be more plentiful and flavorful. The owner is so friendly and accommodating. The other staff not so much.

The restaurant is cute. It works for a date night or hang out with friends. Waiters was attentive. They offer complimentary bread and were not shy about supplying you with more. My only complaint was that the bread was not warm. However, the taste left you wanting more and made me think their pizza dough is likely very similar. For appetizers, we had Fritto Misto di Mare. The components were seasoned well, crisp, and served with marinara. We ordered 2 specials - Osso bucco with mushroom risotto and sea bass (or Branzino) with spinach. The osso bucco was super tender, flavorful and fall off the bone. The mushroom risotto was the right level of creaminess to compliment the dish. The fish special was supposed to be sea bass but when our server placed the meal down he said Branzino. Personally, I know they're white fishes and have not had either in awhile so wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Regardless the dish was tasty. Dessert was tiramisu. It was like eating a cloud flavored with coffee. My drink was an elderflower spritz which I found very refreshing. Overall I would return and try some of their regular dishes.

Formerly La Vigna, still a Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. The two fish dishes we fresh, nicely seasoned and good portion with a small side of veggies included. Not a wide selection in cocktails. Service was standard, they came by to check in a few times but had to ask to get water refilled. Went there for Sunday night dinner, surprised there wasn't many patrons. There's several other Italian restaurants on Metropolitan as well.

Cuisine: 7 Service: 7 Decor: 7 Value: 8 Overall: 7 I was quite sad to see La Vigna close its doors after so many years being part of the Metropolitan Avenue restaurant row. Thankfully, what replaced it is a very solid Italian restaurant as well. Keeping a part of the old decor, I appreciate that they kept the exposed brick wall on one side of the restaurant. The lighting is quite dim and the space feels very warm, with a nice little bar in the back of the room. As for the quality of the food I had so far, here is a rundown. Margherita Roman Pizza (7/10) - I am a fan of simplicity, so I am a fan of this pie. Capricciosa Roman Pizza (7/10) - The vegetable ingredients tasted fresh, while the prosciutto cotto adds a nice touch of saltiness. Fritto Misto Di Mare (8/10) - This appetizer had a nice portion for sharing. The shrimps were tender, the squid was flavorful, and the zucchini were tasty too. Polpette (7.5/10) - Moist and tender meatballs. I just wish they had given more sauce. Polpo (6/10) - Can octopus be too tender? This version was almost mushy, which was not the best texture for most of us. Rigatoni Con Salsa Alla Vodka (6.5/10) - Better than average, but quite expensive for what it is. Pasta Ai Frutti De Mare (4/10) - Very wet and lack any real seafood flavor. Basically a tomato soup with spaghetti in it, covered by some seafood. Branzino Con Risotto Alla Crema De Zucchine (7/10) - Decently cooked fillets of fish that would be better if the skin was more crispy and the flesh a bit more moist. The risotto was not bad. Pollo Alla Parmigiana (7/10) - I wish the crust was crispier, but the chicken was quite tender. Sauce and cheese were fine. Grilled Red Snapper (8/10) - One of the specials of the night. The portion size was substantial. The fish was moist and well prepared. Osso Buco (8.5/10) - The other special of the night and definitely the best thing we had. Extremely tender and very flavorful. The mushroom risotto was a nice pairing as well. Tiramisu (7/10) - A typical version in a cup. I wish there was a bit more liquor. Pistachio Cake (8/10) - A close second favorite item of the meal. A light feeling cake with a nice strong pistachio flavor. Service was good, and the waiter was friendly. A solid meal all around. Not a place I will think of when I am asked for the best Italian food in the area, but I would come back on nights when they have their osso buco and pistachio cake.

This place was so tasty! Even the bread was nice and light and crisp with great seasoning (I had two baskets) Service was attentive and not pushy, lighting inside is dim and intimate with multiple small tables for date nights. I had the pasta with vodka sauce and it was insanely good. The pasta itself is made fresh in the back and you can even see them portioning them out in the kitchen. I got it with some shrimp and the shrimp was very tender. Definitely coming back to try some other pasta! We also had the octopus appetizer which had a little spice to it and was cooked very well.

Color me impressed, this is one of the best Italian restaurants in Queens. Run by brothers from Salerno Italy, this is a quality spot. Arriving on a Saturday evening without a reservation, we were able to grab a table, but the crowds picked up after that. The vibe is casual, but elegant, lively but cozy. There is a nice selection of wines by the glass and they were good quality. We started off with the meatballs, which were served in a light red sauce and were delicious. The pizza is Roman Style; the Mushroom, Truffle pie with brie and prosciutto, was outstanding. Their crust is amazing, it's light and tender and full of flavor. We also wanted to try a pasta and while I normally stay away from specials, the Garganelli with Veal Ragu topped with Ricotta Salata sounded so good, I had to go for it. The dish was exceptional and comforting. Pasta here is expertly homemade and just perfection. The Veal ragu was sublime. We couldn't pass up the homemade dessert, so got a tiramisu. Normally you wouldn't describe a tiramisu as light, but that's exactly what it was and it was amazing. Of course the espresso was also wonderful. What a fantastic addition to Queens and I can't wait to try more of the menu.

My husband and I visited Radici for dinner on a Friday night and we loved everything about our experience. It's a very warm and welcoming environment and more modern and stylish than a lot of the restaurants in Forest Hills. We started with a delicious and refreshing fennel salad and we each had a pasta dish that was on par with pasta in Italy. I had a special with swordfish and my husband had a ragu. They were both perfectly cooked al dente. I also had an excellent negroni. We didn't try the pizza but the bread they bring to start was delicious and reminded me of pizza crust. We had a lemon tarte and an affogato for dessert and they were both fabulous Arturo, Laert and the rest of the staff were really friendly, even when my order wasn't exactly right because I wasn't completely clear about what I wanted. I called right before we went and it looked like we got the last table, so I recommend making a reservation on weekends.

I had the green Lasagna Verde. This had grandma's recipe in each layer absolutely delicious

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The appetizers and the main course the drinks and the dessert absolutely a 10. Our serve Lawrence super attentive and the crew working with him amazing. The ambience gives that really homey feeling. It's like the neighborhood staple. Cheers to the chef and staff. Absolutely delicious. Both items came out together like we asked and was far too much food for two. My first bite of the pizza was hot, crunchy, and delicious. I love fresh oven pizzas with a crispy bottom crust. The chefs did an amazing job cooking it just right. I also loved the fresh mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. It really elevated the pizza to another level. The crust was great all around with a slight oven char. Lastly the calzone took me by surprise as it had no sauce and was filled with ricotta cheese as opposed to mozzarella. It came with a small cup of hot marinara sauce for dipping/pouring. It was definitely an interesting calzone but don't think it was worth the price. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and Nick's and would highly recommend it. I do wish the pricing was a bit more fair when it came to full vs half pie toppings as well as the calzone.

They're great, and the service is phenomenal. I wanted to comment about their catering, because they shined here. I had my kid's birthday party over at Dream City and needed to order pizza. We also had a guest who was lactose-intolerant, and another who was gluten-free. My son also has an egg allergy, so when I called to confirm that there was no egg in their pizza dough, they confirmed that it was correct. Some old school NY pizza joints don't appreciate this question, but the owner here was kind and understood exactly why I would want to ask this question. They also made sure that my guest who was lactose-intolerant wouldn't have a pasta dish made with any butter or milk. They delivered the 8 pies, gluten free personal pizza, and pasta for my lactose-intolerant guest right on time. I had placed the order a few days before, so I was worried about them being on time, but that wasn't an issue at all. Everyone raved about the pies, and our guests with the food intolerances were happy with their food, too. The delivery driver was pleasant and made sure things went where they needed to. I felt slightly intimidated from the look of the place on the outside because it would seem like a middle class to upper class Restaurant but inside, it does look very nice but the setting is very much casual for its basically an upscale Pizzeria. However I didn't have pizza in mind, I went for something bigger and that would be the Chicken Parmigiana along with Root Beer which tallied up to $32 so not too bad. I contemplated about getting Dessert but I ultimately forgone it, which was a good decision in the long run because the chicken parm order was surprisingly hefty. I've gotten used to smaller portions being served in restaurants nowadays and I was expecting I'm gonna be hungry later eventually, but I sure was proven wrong. That meal filled me up proper, a little too proper because I felt absolutely stuffed after eating it all. I'm not one to complain about a good problem. Sure I felt uncomfortable, bloated and sluggish after eating that meal but I will take that any day in the week over feeling unsatisfied and unfulfilled because if you're gonna spend $30+ on a meal, you SHOULD get your money's worth and that was a meal I could very well split with two and felt very fine with that. So props to PC for a gut busting meal, for the price I paid for lunch, I should feel like I'm going to spontaneously combust, better that than still feeling empty.
