Our waiter at Rolos at brunch in Ridgewood mentioned today that the bakery has moved to Greenpoint under the name Radio Bakery. I had heard only good things about Radio Bakery and decided to take a 30 minute drive and check them out. Got 2 sandwiches and assorted pastry. Super busy like out the door but it moves pretty fast. Radio has got to be the best bakery I've tried in Brooklyn. I haven't been to all of them, but I can confidently say this place is insanely good. They do switch it up and have new items often, but always have a few staples that we get every time. We always get the earl grey morning bun, and a double chocolate croissant. For a while they had a spiced caramelized apple tart (I cannot remember what they actually call it) and the caramelized apple sauce was to die for! We tried the cinnamon roll today and it was so gooey and super cinnamon-y, probably one of the best I've ever had. Everything is crispy, flakey, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet. They also have sandwiches and focaccia which are great! There's always a long line on the weekends, but since I live close by I go during the week. I hope they keep up the fantastic work! read more

Honestly, the pastries are insanely good. Love the croissants, love the seeded bread more than any other bread, and the specials are usually fantastic. But that gets me to the biggest gripe of this place, aside from being incredibly expensive. Instead of having the specials available early in the morning, they drop them at 10, or sometimes at 11, or whenever they feel like it, even if they post about them being ready at around a certain time--which makes it difficult to get one of the specials unless you live around the block or happen to get on the gargantuan line at juuuust the right time. They also have an incredible sesame bread that they were selling, but now don't, and reserve only for sandwiches, which makes me sad. So yeah, lots of gripes, but the stuff that's good is REALLY good. read more

amazing bakery! the triple chocolate croissant was packed with richness and is great quality. the chocolate chip cookie had a nice, chewy texture and a generous touch of salt on top. would definitely go back during their opening hours to try their seasonal pastries that sell out quickly! read more

this was my second time visiting this very popular bakery. definitely requires getting there early for best selection. be prepared for a line but it moves pretty quickly. first time all they had left was the gluten free cornbread which was still very tasty. second visit i tried the summer corn focaccia which was messy to eat but very good. also had bites of the earl grey bun, cinnamon roll, and sesame roll - all of which were tasty. worth going if you're in the area and it's not too much of a force to go early read more

Radio is constantly sold out of everything you want, or see on the gram. Particularly annoying if you come from 20 minutes away as I do, or wait on a line, as I have. I'm glad they are successful, use that success to give people jobs - hire more bakers, get a second kitchen so you can meet the demand of your customers. You shouldn't be sold out of the things people want 99% of the time. Recently they told me by 9AM many mornings some items sell out. To add to that, their hours are basically impossible if you have a job. They close at 3:30PM (or earlier) everyday. Too bad if you want to pick something up on the way home from work, or in the evening for the next morning. And again, even if you can make it in for the tiny window, its likely what you want will be sold out. Why does this annoy me so much? Radio wants to be our neighborhood bakery (and as they say, a "good neighbor" that "takes care of" their customers) but that means they should meet the desires and needs of the neighborhood. Otherwise they are preventing the potential of another great bakery opening up by diluting the market and taking a portion of the local business. I would rather have a bakery here that isn't always sold out and barely ever open. Also they are unwilling to take pre-orders, which seems like a reasonable middle ground to helping solve some of these issues. I'm sorry but its just no the vibe. Worth every bit of hype! There was a line out the door but it moved pretty quickly. The bagel themed focaccias are a great pair to the standard earl grey morning bun. I got the everything bagel focaccia with scallion cream cheese. Total genius, rich enough that I really should have gotten an iced coffee to go with it. Finally went early enough to try more pastries than the croissant. It was a small line that moved very quickly. The pastries here are so unique and extremely tasty. I loved the focaccia with cream cheese and apple brown sugar croissant a lot. They were fantastic!! The pretzel savory croissant was also good. I got their brown butter blondie which was too sweet for me. I gave them 4 stars for the coffee, which wasn't good. The four pastries were $27! read more

This is a really great bakery, at the level of Mel, Bench Flour, and ALF. Sampled 8 croissant-based pastries, all of which were awesome. This is destination worthy. Only downsides: Wish they had more savory options, prices are a bit higher than typical, the line can be long, and the space and street outside are really crowded. read more

Came here midday on a Thursday so there was no line like I've heard about. But honestly a bit confused why there would be such a line. This focaccia was good but I've had much better and their other offerings seemed normal for a bakery? Nice inside and cool that you can see the whole bakery behind them. To start I NEVER get up early. I usually wake up after 10 am but I will get up early for food! :) I knew about Radio Bakery and always had it on my bucket list but every time I went there they were closed! My fault.. I always remembered them around 4pm! A few days ago I saw a video about Radio Bakery and I decided it was time to go. I got up a 7:30 and made it there by 8 am. There were a few people already inside but no line. And then the glorious pastries and Focaccias were all on display. It pays to get up early! I knew I wanted one of the Maple Sausage Croissants but other than that I didn't know what else I wanted but the Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Focaccia called my name. I wanted 3 items (who knew when I was going to get up this early ever again!) so I asked the counter person to suggest one and she said the Meyer Lemon and Olive Oil Croissant was a fave of hers so I went with that. I walked home and ate the Maple Sausage Croissant and it was very good. Flakey, sweet, yet savory because of the Maple Sausage. Interesting thing is that the flavor of the Maple Sausage gets stronger as you get to the center... kind of like how the flavor of a cinnamon roll gets better near the center. I love that kind of attention to detail! I held off on the other items till I got home. When I got home I dug into the BEC Focaccia. One word.. INCREDIBLE. This truly was one of the best things I've eaten in a while, and I was surprised at how good it was. It had a very smoky flavor to it, fluffy eggs inside, nice salty cheese (but not too salty). This was a 5 star dish for me. I will wake up again just for this dish. It was that good. It is so nice to try something that you never really had any thoughts about and then you love it so much you know you're going to have it again. Wow.. wow...wow. Beautiful surprise! Now I am full and will dig into the Meyer Lemon Croissant later today. I wanted to write this review while the enthusiasm is still high. Thank you Radio Bakery! Sandwiches that will blow your mind. I'm not a big sandwich person, but when I saw the sandwich selections inside this place. This was the first time I got excited. Everything looked like it would taste like amazing. I picked out 4 different sandwiches to take home to try AND I got some pastries. Once at home I couldn't wait. I cut all the sandwiches into 4 pieces to share with the family. So everyone got to taste everything. First and foremost, the focaccia bread is soft and has a nice chew. My favorite was the roast beef. Tender and delicious. The prosciutto with burrata was amazing (Thankfully I got 2 of these). The tuna salad was a sleeper hit. The ham rosemary sandwich was ok. We finished all that sandwiches. The sausage roll, bear claw was meh. Earl grey bun, croissant, rhubarb tart, vanilla custard pastry was good. This little piggy really went to market at this place. I nearly cried when I ate the focaccia. I ordered the sausage and chive, of course I showed up too late for the bacon egg one so obviously will be returning. I also ordered their apple open croissant that was crunchy insanity. Basically the most amazing breads/pastry a girl can find. Obsessed with this gem. My favorites are chocolate chip cookie, corn cake, seeded sourdough, pistachio croissant. Their focaccias are good as well depending on what you like. The cookies and the bread are the best I've ever had. The bread is a meal on its own. Unbelievably satisfying. It has this buttery taste from the seeds - simply amazing and worth a crazy price of $13! I'd go there just for the bread and the cookie. I love to keep up with what's up.. Show me a "tots adorbs" spot on Tik Tok and I'm literally obsessed! Of course, I had to check out this super cute new bakery. Yeah, there are great Polish bakeries nearby like Old Poland and Café Riviera selling the best fresh European grain breads,Danish, cookies and pastry for less than half the price but when my bestie told me she paid $19.50 for 2 Danish at Radio, I had to check it out. I mean, it must be like totally worth it, right? Of course when I walked in at 2:00 on a Saturday there was a sign asking for a Baker to Hire and nothing for sale but a single sad mini loaf for $13 but hey, it's Greenpoint and i love it here now and this will be part of my new morning "hybrid work" routine. read more

let's just say: I get the hype. everything here is amazing and I came here twice on my three day New York trip. here's everything I got: - earl grey morning bun (4/5): absolutely delicious, tons of earl grey flavor encased in a sugary, flakey bun - brown butter corn cake (5/5): this was my favorite thing from here, surprisingly. the brown butter notes are amazing and I love the corn flavor - scallion twist (4/5): really good if you are looking for a savory pastry, it's flaky and buttery with really nice flavor - chocolate chip cookie (2/5): i like that it has sea salt on top and is crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside, but it had this strange taste to it that I strongly disliked - smoked salmon on focaccia (4.5/5): MUST TRY A FOCACCIA SANDWICH. their focaccia is literally incredible, soft, flavorful, and doughy. they don't skimp on the fillings either so it's definitely worth it for the price. i love to everything focaccia paired with cream cheese, pickled onions, and smoked salmon - turkey pesto focaccia (4/5): also super delicious with lots of fillings. overall, i would highly recommend making a stop here! you really can't go wrong with anything they have, and i would definitely grab a focaccia slice or sandwich if you can! read more

Overall, Radio Bakery is crushing the game. When I first went, the selection was rather chocolate-heavy, but I tried an assortment of the others and they were so so good. The earl grey morning bun (drool), the sesame scallion twist, the peaches and cream pastry (such a beautiful, tasty, juicy, sweet peach) and the smoked salmon focaccia sandwich (oh my god....), all of which blew my mind. Unfortunately I did not get any pictures of any of the pastries that we purchased but oh my god! After going, I truly believe this is the BEST bakery in NYC. We came for the heirloom tomato croissant and the stone fruit and custard croissant but they were all sold out when we got to order at 1:30pm (there was a line but it moved fast!). We ended up getting the twice baked pistachio croissant, the scallion and sesame twist, brow butter cornbread, and the tomato feta sandwich. Everything was phenomenal but the twice baked pistachio croissant and the sesame scallion twist were our favorite. It actually tasted like pistachio which is so hard for pistachio flavored things and the sesame scallion was perfectly savory. I am truly counting down the days to go back and get our hands on the heirloom tomato croissant and back on the tasty treats we purchased. Incredible! read more
