I came here with a couple of friends on a Sunday morning. We made reservations the night before and were seated promptly. It's a small restaurant with great open lighting. Our waitress was really helpful and we ordered everything she recommended. Her recommendations were perfect. We shared the truffle egg toast which was delicious. We had the ham and egg griddle sandwich, it was fine but I'm not a huge fan of breakfast meat. But the star of the show was the poached eggs, harissa & yogurt. Sat by the bar, just two people. My friend arrived first and I arrived ten minutes later. We were presented the menus some time after by the host/waitress. We ordered our drinks with the bartender, which came in a decent time - cold brew, and soda of the day, a cucumber spritz of sorts. After almost drinking half my beverage, i mentioned to the bartender that we were ready to order since we weren't approached by the wait staff. We got the sweet saffron cream pastry - gives off Mediterranean vibes. Ham and egg griddle sandwich, reminds me of a scallion pancake, especially with the crispy chili oil sauce. Lastly, a cauliflower quiche that was almost forgotten - pretty good overall. Our experience was alright - we weren't in a rush. It was a Monday, holiday weekend and we took things leisurely. Given it is more like a cafe, I wonder if their breakfast and lunch options are better. We split the roasted garlic and half sour veggie jars for 4 dollars a piece. I wish we had gotten a bit more vegetables. The merguez in a blanket and the mushroom filo were really nothing memorable. The smoked charred short rib was very tender but on the fattier side with a lot of sauce. It felt like it should've come with something to eat it with like a bread, or rice. Lastly we split the broccoli rabe and lemon potatoes. Overall, cute interior with a diverse looking menu. It's the Glasserie folks. We had the merguez in the blanket and saffron cream cheese pastry. Everything was delicious. Staff were young, sweet, enthusiastic, friendly. I'd love to return ASAP. The space is dreamy, and I'm wondering what it used to be, some of it (like the bathroom doors) kind of looked like an old school. They are going for a 1950s vibe, and wildly, manage to achieve it. Let's start with location. It's premium: near the water and great open feeling (although elbow to elbow seating). Windows all around with lots of sunshine making it a terrasse experience even when indoors. Now the food. Delicious!! So much better than what I had at a Michelin star restaurant two days earlier. The food has this gentle Lebanese touch and is simply delicious. Kudos to the chef. Service was a little inconsistent but nothing that spoiled the joy of eating at Radio Star. Loved the ambiance. I have been to radio star twice now, once for brunch and once for lunch. I personally had a much better lunch meal! I also don't eat eggs or meat, so maybe that was the issue for brunch. But for their lunch I got their white orange tea, which was light and refreshing and their tofu griddle sandwich. This tofu sandwich was bursting with flavor, and I love the unique griddle cake (idek what it is) that acts as the bread in this sandwich. The dip they gave looks spicy, but wasn't really at all, and added tons of flavor to the sandwich. The interior is cute, and easy to get a spot mid day during the week. I even got a spot on a busy brunch day, and the staff were very nice to quickly sit us between reservations if we agreed to leave within a certain amount of time! They have a patio thats great on a nice day, but I've sat inside both times. read more

Came here without a reservation and waited about 30 minutes which is no big deal considering it was a Saturday afternoon just past the brunch rush. We waited about 15 minutes to get our order taken, I'm assuming the waiter didn't care since it appeared he was about to clock out for the day, you know it's fine it's been a long day but it would have been courteous if he would of let us know we would have another server take care of us. ( Note: Half of the restaurant was empty & the bar was taken up by the employees) I have worked in the industry in the past. Really enjoyed all three dishes especially the merguez in a blanket (which is offered for both lunch and dinner). The dish reminded me of Uzbek samsa dishes I used to order during my time in China, and the chili oil sauce that comes with the dish is insanely good. What's the secret?! Lemon potatoes didn't have much if any lemon flavor. Merguez in a blanket was good, although simple. I think these dishes would benefit from being served with a sauce. The carrots were probably the best dish despite the high level of salt. They serve bread for the table, but nothing to accompany it like butter or even a dip to order with it. so happy to have the Glasserie in brunch form! honestly the food was delicious, the merguez was our favorite we ordered it twice. the service was amazing especially Stacy who was so nice to accommodate our party and made us feel taken care of with her suggestions and wine pairings. Love that they also preserved and honored the history of Greenpoint and the radio station. this is the kind of establishment we need to see more of!
