Took our radon reading from 16 to .8 They installed the mitigation system in 2009, and other than needing a new fan after 10 years, it has run perfectly. Zero issues. When I did call for service I seem to recall it was done within 48 hours. The overall system is very simply and I don't even notice it. They core a few opening into your slab, plumb the piping to the outside of your house, and turn on the fan. My fan is in my garage attic. When I am in the attic I do not hear the fan. It is silent. I cannot recommend them enough.

As homeowners we don't know how to deal with them and they take advantage of us. I worked with Sterling exteriors. The rep came out circled the hail damage and came out and walked through the damage with the inspector. He acted as my advocate and I ended up getting new siding and gutters. They just finished the work this week and it looks great. With no out of pocket cost and the rep actually added trim and a few other items on their own. The rep you deal with makes a difference. I worked with Mike O'Brien at 847-703-0299. He was great. Mike kept me updated the whole way through the process. My experience with Mike was exceptional.

I had Sterling Exteriors out to quote on some soffit work that I needed done. They came in…read moremid-September but told me to wait until the end of October to book anything because it would be less expensive. So I waited until the end of October and called. I was told that they were already closing down for the winter but that they had a guy that they worked with who would honor their quotes and do the work. They came back, did a quote, and took pictures to share with their guy. A few days later their referral came out and measured everything. Sterling Exteriors then confirmed what day their guy was going to be coming out. I arranged the financing on my own and had them back out to sign the paperwork and give the the deposit check. When I was giving the deposit check I was told that at that very moment, their guy was out buying the supplies. We were all ready to do. 10 minutes later Sterling Exteriors called back and said that there guy wasn't going to be able to do it because of "a number of issues, but mainly manpower". So they had provided pictures to their guy, confirmed the start date, were in the process of purchasing the required materials, and had a signed work order and deposit. And all of a sudden the guy who was all ready to go couldn't do it. So I said that Sterling needed to do it themselves, but was told no, they were closed for the year and that there was nothing that could be done. It's plainly obvious that Sterling Exteriors under quoted the work and that neither their referral nor Sterling Exteriors themselves would honor the pricing I was given, and that I was being given the run around as to the reason why. When I confronted Sterling Exteriors about this they stopped replying altogether. Very shady business that won't honor their own pricing even after the contract was signed.

I never really had any conversations with them unless they didn't show up and I would call to find out why. My 1st impression was on the day they were supposed to start work here, after waiting 6 weeks, they requested to push the job back 2 more days. When I was not happy about that idea, Lenny said Ok they would start the next day. The next day Ethan showed up late, set up some scaffolding and then left at 10:30 never to return. Elite had successfully pushed my job back the 2 days they originally wanted in a very sneaky way, by pretending they were starting my job. I really don't appreciate a company that I have hired to act in such an unprofessional manner, thinking they pulled a fast one on their client. Nothing was ever communicated to me through the entire rebuild. Oh, but the day they finished they could knock on the door because final payment needed to be made. The invoice was in my email promptly the next morning. Previously they would maybe show up, maybe not a couple times with no explanation at all. This company felt no need to communicate with the client unless they wanted something. If I questioned something I was an annoyance to anyone associated with Elite. I was a non person with a checkbook to them. Not the kind of company I like to hire for a company with the highest quote! I could not tell you about the quality of the actual rebuild , I was relieved the stress was over. I certainly would not recommend Elite to anyone because in my opinion they are terribly unprofessional and did nothing to educate me about the process, did not like being questioned and after they received final payment reached out so they didn't get a bad review. Don't use this service!…read more We were told that the service guy would wear a face mask while in our house Servicing our radon equipment and sump pump that was installed by accurate radon a few years back. We informed the owner, Rich Whiisler, mitigation professional, That I am a high-risk due to my health situation for COVID-19, and inquired if we could put the service off till later due to this fact. Rich said that could be for two years, and they had all the safety measures in place and the service guy would wear a face mask while in the house to protect himself & us, and would only go into the basement areas that had the sump pump and the radon equipment. That is still walking through our entire basement downstairs, which is our carpeted and finished family room. We were told by Rich NOT to go in the basement while the service guy will be servicing the sump pump and radon equipment and to wait three days to wipe down the sump pump room and the radon equipment that may have been touched. Rich also stated the service guy would be using our bathroom to wash his hands with soap and water. I said I did not want the service guy to use our bathroom to wash his hands but to have him bring hand sanitizer instead. Rich stated it is better that he would use water and soap because it gets rid of the germs easier, but he would have him use hand sanitizer instead. What Rich did NOT share with us Is, that the service guy would be taking his face mask off while in the basement servicing the sump pump and the radon equipment. We have an open basement, with no door to close, which is actually our carpeted and finished family room. While we were upstairs, the service guy was servicing our sump pump area and radon equipment in our Open family room basement. We heard him coughing down in our finished family room basement. It was observed, that the service guy had his face mask pulled down under his chin. We called Rich and requested the check to be returned to us. Also, that he never mentioned to us that the service guy would be allowed to take his mask off once he was in the basement. That was never told to us. If Rich would have told us, that the service guy would be allowed to take his face mask off once he was in our finished family room basement, we would have never allowed this service in our home. This was a breach of trust and honesty and I would not recommend anyone using this service. It has put me at a risk even higher for the COVID-19.

BEWARE If you have storm damage and want a company that won't fight for you but will put everything…read morethey have into fighting AGAINST you... well then this is the company. I thought because they were local and I knew the owner they would be a fair company... boy was I wrong. I hired them because my window screens were badly torn, my trim on house was all knicked up due to hail. Some shingles also blew off the roof. I didn't even know if my roof was damaged at the time. They said they would handle everything and even deal with insurance so I wouldn't have to. The deal was they do all the work and I sign all the checks over to them. It was simple...so I thought. I didn't want nor had the time to be dealing with all this. Their contract says they never ask for money from homeowner that it all comes from insurance, yet they billed me for MORE than insurance even gave and that's even after they refused to fix things that were damaged and covered because it wouldn't be "profitable for them". So left me with no $ to repair those items they skipped out of doing. wound up paying over $31,000 and they still wanted approz $8000 more and my screens, deck and house trim were still unrepaired..they wanted the $ allotted for work they didn't do! Provided a grossly inflated bill (no sworn statements)that was blatantly wrong and they refused to fix....until the morning of court that is (you read that right). Not only were they shady, but refused to providing me with the required notarized sworn statements when we requested. Even admitted in arbitration that they do not give till AFTER the bill is paid. BY law they ARE MANDATED to provide yet wouldn't AND yet still sued us. Of course, why wouldn't they because if you read their contract and very fine print on the back, their warranty is VOID if they take you to court.... so it's only in their best interest to bring you there. They don't even try to fix their mistakes-just intimidate and demand full payment. They even sent someone to my home who harassed and tried to intimidate me. They were so unprofessional with my insurance rep. We won in arbitration (for the most part) but still they refused the ruling and pushed to court. They didn't even show or give me a chance to cross examine them since I obliterated them in arbitration neither my contractor nor the manager they sent to collect a wrong bill even showed up to testify... Hmmm. Waiting on a ruling from the judge as he took it on advisement but don't understand how he can even consider ruling for them under the circumstances. Stay away from this company at all costs is my advice. If you don't question them it should go fine, but if you call them out on mistakes... watch out!

First we started with asking Yelp for help to find roofing contractors for a residential roof…read morerepair. We had moss growing on part of our roof where the sun did not shine most of the year. The moss was forcing some of our shingles to buckle. We also inherited two large areas that were 'repaired' at some point in the past, and those repairs were near failure. Fast forward a bit and we received four estimates for a roof replacement/ updated roof system from different contractors. UV Exteriors' estimate was the most competitively priced by far. We decided to have both the roof on our house and our garage replaced. Overall the sales process was very informative and helpful to us making a decision on our roof; we liked the salespeople from UV Exteriors. The shingles that we had on our roof were apparently called 3-tab shingles and all of the estimating companies stated that they either don't install them or manufacturers no longer make them. So we opted for an upgraded shingle with relief. Our new shingles have copper imbedded in them which prevents the growth of moss. The shingles also have a 50-year warranty, which is a big plus. The UV Exteriors crew arrived sometime before 8am, and they got to work right away. A complete tear-off, and a new installation took a single day by the crew. The crew was kind! Most importantly the installation was wonderfully done AND the mess that a roof tear-off creates was completely managed by the crew. We have not found a single errant shingle, nail, piece of plastic or other debris in our yard or our neighbor's yard. The roofing crew did an amazing job! We appreciate the great job that UV Exteriors did by installing our new roof system, and we highly recommend this roofing company to you!
