Working w/ Rafael has been a pleasure. He was the only contractor that came out for a quote - out of 6 - that left a written estimate itemizing each service (sprinklers, sod, mow curb, concrete). The price was very good, lower than any of the other licensed contractors that came out and there was no language barrier, which is always nice. The crew arrived on time, and the work was done quickly, there was no mess, and they were polite & careful to clean up after themselves. Added to that, he threw in 20 potted plants free of charge and has assured me that if for any reason, the grass does not "take" he will be out free of charge to replace it. I would highly recommend his crew. Our backyard was a disaster, we purchased the place as an REO, and there was acres of dirt, weeds and trash, overgrown trees and bushesand a ton of junk to haul away. Jimmy Hoffa was back there somewhere. They did a 48 hour miracle and now I have a real backyard for my children to play in, and I look forward to having them return to do my front yard later on. read more

I had Rafael come out and give me an estimate. He was the only contractor of at least 3 that I called, that not only answered the phone but showed up for his appointment...He was early too! Text him and he will text back with in a few minute to a couple hours...other contractors would not even get back to me. His estimate was reasonable and his crew very friendly and professional. Never tried to up-sale me or set false expectations. Took them two days to finish my concrete in my backyard as promised. The crew and Rafael are very detailed oriented. They take pride in their work. Rafael oversaw the entire project personally, making sure he was communicating the details and getting my approval multiple times before and during the work being done ( very detail oriented ). Herman was his right hand man on the job; he made all the measurement for the diamond design and made sure it was carried out. Everything was about doing what my wife and I happy. I found Rafael's Landscaping on the internet and have been extremely pleased. Rafael came out to complete the bid and left a written estimate. He was willing to come a second time to meet my husband before being given the job. His crew was professional in every way. They cleaned up daily and thoroughly answered all of my questions. In only two and a half work days they installed sprinklers and sod in my backyard, removed two trees, replaced the drains in my yard and repaired the sprinklers in my front yard. I found Rafa's landscaping on yelp the reviews are good so I gave him a call and explained to him what i wanted done.I have a 135 sf concrete walkway I wanted to have demoed and replaced with stone pavers.The first phone call I told him I have 270 sf I wanted done so he told me it's a lot of work and where I lived was not in his area so he quoted me $18.00 a sq foot 4,860.00 yep very very expensive. So to be 100 percent sure I told him I would measure the walkway and email him some pics of the job.The next day I texted him the correct measurements and the pics. I talked to him after he received the text and he told me he has to charge me 20.00 dollars a sf now because its a small space 135 sf and because of where I live. I live 30 mins from Rialto. I see on Yelp that he has done jobs in L.A, Chino and MoVal and these cities are farther then where I live. I believe this is price gouging. Charging people extra because the job is small and because of where they live is ridiculous.This guy is way overpriced. The materials for this job is about $600.00 total for everything $2,100 dollars for one days work .When did landscape contractors start making $648,000 dollars a year.$2,700.00 times 5 days a week ect.Customers beware shop around before you hire. read more

Rafael give honest advice. My back garden has drainage problem. I ask Rafael to come and give me advice on what to do. He is prompt and on time as he said. He advice that if we want to install French drain of similar device . It has to install on both side left and right to be effective. Since we have patio installed all we can do is install on one side. Which is not ideal and if remove part of patio will be very expensive. So he advices to control the sprinkler will be better way to do it. Although we have decided not to do the work. But I would like to thank him for his advice. Which is honest and fair.
