We actually couldn't get a seat on our last visit because the restaurant was completely packed. This time, we came around 2 PM and it was still about 80-90% full. The food is comforting, flavorful, and feels very authentic -- the kind of Korean neighborhood restaurant that locals go to regularly. It's loud over here. Order the combo if it's your 1st visit. So you can try their sul lung tang and grilled fish. Good food, good value, and clearly a neighborhood favorite. There is a reason why this place is my go to place for OG Korean food. Authentic, flavorful, genuine and generous; they serve some of the best food in the area. There is always a wait, and clientele is a mix of older Korean looking for taste of home (like me) and new younger crowd who knows a good thing when they taste it. We ordered, pigs feet (everyone gets it, it's their signature dish), pork neck casserole (they don't skimp, lots of meat chunks and good flavors from wild sesame), bone broth soup/grilled fish combo (also a crowd favorite) and bulgogi in broth (it pleased our finicky eater, and they served a lot of meat instead of fillers). Kimchi sides were a mix of aged deep/sour kind (right up my alley). As for other comments about the 'bland' bone broth, it's supposed to be bland and they give you a number of condiments to suit your taste. Came here for dinner around 8:30pm on Saturday. The restaurant was packed but we got seated fairly quickly. The server and host were very kind and welcoming. They have a sign at the door saying to not park on the side because you will get towed, so beware of that. I was honestly was unsure what to rate this restaurant. The bonchon included 3 little dishes of kimchi and radish. We ordered the Bibimbap and the dduk bae bi bulgogi. I would rate the bibimbap a 3/5 - there was little meat and it lacked flavor. I was disappointed as this is my usual go to dish. The dish was full of vegetables. The dduk bae bi bulgogi was my favorite- it was fully of flavor - I couldn't get an enough of it. I've been here so many times I've lost count. I love this place - especially their suyook and their gamjatang. However, in the past 2 years, even when I arrive at 530pm vs 8pm, they are almost always out of gamjatang. It's super confusing; at first I thought the issue was me arriving late but clearly that isn't the case since I've tried arriving early - the most recent time I brought my friend from out of town, the waiter told us they were on their last bowl so we had to order other items. Later when we were halfway through our meal, they served several new tables that just sat down big bowls of gamjatang. So while I stand by their food taste, I can't help but feel disappointed when I drive 50 minutes in to be told there is no more gamjatang, and then see it served to others. This has happened multiple times. Not sure if they have a system of reserving to specific groups or they favor Korean groups over others, but I hope it improves in the near future. Soondae (Korean blood sausage) is one of my favorites so I had to get it as my first meal in Jersey. It was slightly less chewy than I remember, but still had that flavor that I was craving and went really well with their spiced salt! The gamjatang (pork bone stew) is definitely a must here as well, and it comes with huge chunks of meat on the bone. It takes some finesse to get all the meat off the bone but once it's done, you can enjoy the meat in the spicy stew, alongside veggies like cabbage and scallions. The hangover ramen was also a good choice, with slices of meat and intestine, which elevated the ramen to the next level. Their assorted kimchi is really good, and they also had marinated raw squid, which is one of my favorite banchan! It can get crowded during peak times during the evening so I recommend going earlier in the day if you can. Service is just okay since they do get busy so they aren't as attentive. Parking can also be tricky since street parking or limited spots in the lots are available as first come first serve. read more

We walked in and it's a simple place with white walls and picture menu on the wall. We were immediately seated since it was start of dinner time. The menu is on the table as placemat. A small restaurant that gets busy - a few different dishes focused on the ox bone soups, and the specialty of the pork feet. Small banchan of three types - spicy nappa kimchee, spicy green daikon, and spicy sweet cubes of daikon. They were ok, all spicy, though. Ox bone soup w/ sliced beef brisket (cha dol sul lung tang) was good; a lot of scallions and rice broth. Pretty solid. The grilled spicy pork was good - spicy, but delicious mix of spicy and sweet heat. Hot bowl, though. The steamed pork feet came on an unstable holder (almost fell off and burnt a few since the pork feet sticks to the pan). Overall the dish was good, but a little on the bland side. Sauces are needed to enjoy it properly. Also they were out of bi bim bap. No idea how that happens when the restaurant has so few items on the menu. So I'll put it as could've been better - because it could have been. Service was absent most of the meal. We were sitting in a side alcove which fit 7 of us, but they constantly didn't check in on us for tea, water, or anything. A must-stop Korean fair for some of the best pork and Sundae. We came to Sa Rit Gol after a long upstate hike and were prepared to try nearly half the menu across our group. We had most of the Korean staples such as boiled pork, Sundae, spicy kalguksu, bulgogi, and galbi. Most main dishes came with a large portion of mackerel too to make sure we didn't leave hungry. Each dish was amazing--nothing was too savory or salty as can be the case with many Korean places across NYC. We found the sauces with the boiled pork to be one of the best, and the Sundae pleasant to even those who typically don't like it! Everything is priced really well for Fort Lee too, much better than typical midtown Ktown prices. The only issue is trying to get a table during the busy dinner hour or on the weekend.
