I was craving Mochiko chicken. We were near the area so this place was perfect. I ordered the mochiko chicken and kalbi ribs mixed plate. Husband ordered fish and shrimp plate. The chicken was very good. Kalbi ribs were alright and Juan's said the fish was ok. Prices were decent and food was fresh because it took a long time to be served. The chicken was tasty and flavorful. Tender and fried perfectly. I would definitely stop by for the chicken again.

Frequented this location many to a few times and I must say it requires a balance of what you're looking for. There is breakfast (traditional and all your island favorites) and then the Asian influenced dishes familiar to a Chinese menu. This time around I chose three eggs over easy, rice white and spam (three sliced rectangles). I set aside the Spam and mix the eggs and rice together to get a nice yellow and white mixture. I then segment the Spam to bite squares and place them on top. Now it's time to devour the meal. Enjoy! Three scoops of rice were served I believe. I also ordered the steamed bok Choi plate which can be compared to steam cabbage. Similar nutritional value with a slight variance in taste. Oh so good, enjoyed! ... And two Dr. Peppers in a can. Service is comfortable. If you dine in they bring your food to your table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is very casual and can seat up to 16 to 18 groups of four at maximum capacity. Your kind of normal general minimal cafe environment[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. They also provide catering which I have not had the privilege of experiencing. Give them a try if you're near the Costco and Home Depot area.

Great little place near the airport, serves a huge variety of Asian food. We partook in char siu bao, similar fried rice, walnut shrimp, veggie rice with tofu. Flavors very nice indeed, with the large degree of take away business they had. Staff really nice and accommodating as well. Probably best deal on the island.

Disgusting place, bugs on the walls, food was nasty. I wouldn't let my dog eat food from this place.

I decided to stop halfway through my Turkey Waffle Sandwich (which was delicious and will definitely finish off when I have room) to help my kid finish her smoothie bowl since it was melting. The granola was so good and smoothie was yum. After drinking the Refresher, I took the tons of fruit in the drink and piled it on top of the smoothie bowl. Definitely a hack I'm gonna have to repeat. So much fresh fruit in the refresher! I had the Kona Coffee Shake. It's like a sweet mocha latte. Will definitely finish my turkey waffle sandwich later! My kids loved the 3 cheese flatbread. Hubby said Turkey BLT was good. Will be eating the monkey bread and ube cheese rolls later for dessert.

We arrived literally 3 minutes after they opened on a Wednesday and there was already a decent-sized line to order. By the time we left later on, the parking lot was full. Definitely worth it though! Between the 4 of us we tried the breakfast croissant, salmon open toast, arise bowl, chocolate chiffon cake, and hot and iced mac nut lattes. We all loved what we ordered. I personally had the breakfast croissant and it was easily one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. It was so delicious! I also sampled the chocolate chiffon cake and it was really delightful. If I'm ever back on the Big Island, I guarantee that I will be making a stop at Arise for breakfast!

A nice quiet place to feast but also relax and enjoy a beverage or coffee. The staff, although busy, very friendly and welcoming. My all time favorite is their Panini Caprese. So savory, so flavorful I have had it on several occasions . Highly recommend. Close your eyes and bite into the panini after dipping it in the balsamic dip or the garlic dip. Immediately you will feel like you are at a cafe in Italy maybe on the Amalfi coast. Only thing missing is the ocean breeze off the Mediterranean Sea. 10 out of 10 I also ordered an everything bagel with salmon capers and pickled onions. 9 out of 10. A Chicken panini for my wife. Great Kona coffee in a wonderful casual atmosphere!…read more I had to meet up/interview a potential Big Island candidate in Kailua-Kona and I was basically looking for a casual place where I could meet, enjoy a drink, and have a little bit of conversation. Kona Coffee & Tea was the place of choice here in Kailua-Kona. Located at the Kona Coast Shopping Center, you can find this little coffee shop just next door from KFC. The coffee shop is easy to find, as other business surrounding this business is the KTA Superstore, Hele Gas Station, HFS Federal Credit Union, O'Reilly Auto Parts, as well as many numerous eateries. It was late in the afternoon, so I basically came here for some drinks. I had to try their Kona Coffee, and I must say it did not disappoint! The coffee shop has indoor, as well as covered outdoor seating. The shop does sell some food items, but I did not partake or looked at what they had to offer. There was also coffee shop merchandise, but I did not have time to take a look at what they had to offer. Overall, as great coffee shop and if I'm in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stop by for their wonderful coffee.

Unless you're a coffee connoisseur, you may want to skip the pour over for something a bit less special to save yourself a few dollars. The coffee was fine, but my unrefined palette was not able to fully appreciate the cup of brew. In terms of atmosphere, Kona Coffee & Tea has plenty of seating outdoors around the porch and a few high tables indoor, where they have AC blasting at full strength. They have free Wi-Fi available as well, so I saw a lot of people posting up on their laptops. Parking is plentiful and easy to find since this coffee spot is located in a strip mall. If you have a discerning palette for the subtle flavors that show up in different coffee beans, you will definitely want to stop by for a cup.
