Love this place. In the past year I've had 2 dresses cleaned here. One cotton like cocktail dress and one long flows chiffon prom dress. Very different materials and reasons for washing. The cotton one had lint and deodorant problems the chiffon one had rust! The owner did a great job cleaning both. Also, I LOVE his dog Maverick. He is so cool. I think this place is more expensive than others but he does a great job! read more

They are a dry cleaner. I had heavy wool coats and clothing that were wet and moldy from a leak in our closet. The items came back clean, without stains, and smelled good. Price was more than I would have liked, but I think that is true of all dry cleaners. I would use them again. read more

There is always plenty of parking, the owner makes the drop off simple, I never have to wait when I arrive to collect my things, and most importantly the cleaning is top shelf. Do have I have to give a full star?? Unbelievable. That sums up my experience, and not in a good way. I trusted my fellow yelpers, as they have not let me down before. I had two items that needed to be hemmed, a skirt & a jumper. So off to Rainbow Cleaners I went. I dropped my two items off on Thursday morning. The owner was very confident my items would be done on Friday. He assured me over and over, but did give a little disclaimer that it could possibly be Monday. OK, fine, no big deal. Monday comes, I stop by at 2:35p.m. "Sorry they aren't ready yet, come back later after 4:00p.m." is the response I got. I went back at 6:45p.m. The owner told me she hadn't come yet, "she is running late." He said he called her and she was on her way, he would stay late until she got there and he would drop my garments off at my house. Humm... interesting I thought. But I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I get a call from him at almost 8:00. He said there was a miscommunication between his manager at the other store, he never told him that the seamstress wasn't going to be working that weekend and that they would be done tomorrow morning. Tuesday morning comes. I go to get my clothes. I told the man working, who is apparently the owners brother, about how inconvenient the situation was and that I was frustrated. He walks outside to call his brother, the owner. Comes back in and says that he is at a meeting but offered me 10% ($5 off, which means it was $50 to him two items. Over priced if you ask me, I used to pay $13 in Beverly Hills.) He also said he would talk to his brother and see what more they could do for me. I started looking at my clothes while I was there and noticed that there was DOG HAIR all over them! UM... I don't have a dog, or any animals for that matter. He offered to clean them for me. No thank you, you have had my clothes for long enough. I go home, try my clothes on. The seems are a complete mess, so uneven. One leg on my jumper is longer than the other, the seem is shorter in the front on one leg & longer than the front on the other leg. My skirt is a disaster all the way around. I go back up there to show them. When I walk into the door the owner immediately raised his voice at me telling me he's glad Im back, he was going to call me because "NO ONE tells my brother that I lie." UM WHAT???? I told him how dissatisfied I am with the whole experience, I want my money back so I can take my clothes somewhere else to get fixed. He tried blaming the uneven seems on my clothes. They were even when I brought them in buddy, if you take the same amount off all the way around, they'd still be even. He YELLED a whole bunch of sh*t to me, told me I was aggravating him...bla bla bla. "How could I accuse him of lying?" Well, when you say that you spoke to your seamstress, she is on her way but running late... and then turn around a tell me later that she didn't work at all through the weekend or Monday...thats A LIE. How he is still in business astonishes me. Luckily he did end up giving my money back so I can go find a good seamstress. In short, DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more

You are COMPLETELY CORRECT with negative comments !! Do not go here. I just picked up my Le Cordon Bleu chef coats . I have been going to a great cleaners for 3 years in Northridge and recently moved to the South Bay and spent 2 weeks searching and came across yelp. I should have read further to several negative comments. My coats were wrinkled and stuffed all in one bag :-( I asked for light starch as I have done with previous cleaners and my exclusive dry cleaners and it's never been a problem. Still had minor stains found DOG HAIR on my coats. I was FURIOUS and was charged $70 for 4 chef coats, and 5 other items that were ok. He had the nerve to tell me, " u said light starch and next time add spray shout" it wasn't even that stained to begin with. What a SHOTTY job. NEVER AGAIN. Having his big boxer at the store front and allowing his dog to sniff at every customer is unprofessional let alone unsanitary with "cleaned pressed clothes" that's bagged but not sealed. I work in a confined environment where sanitary and hygiene is vital. Dog hair on my dry cleaned clothes is something I will not take lightly or overlook . He shouldn't be surprised if he gets a visit from inspectors. Do not waste your time or money here. Go elsewhere. Sadly enough I paid the $70, I just don't believe in free service even though it was bad. It cost me $70 never to come back!! Couldn't give ZERO STARS... Ignore the star. read more

This review is strictly for how nice the owner is. I actually haven't been able to use them for dry cleaning. I ran into this place on my way to work at about 8am for a super last minute cleaning. And by last minute, I mean I needed my clothes back by end of day. I wasn't able to drop off my clothes since the owner mentioned he wouldn't be able to turn it around until about 130pm the following afternoon. Bummer. He was, however, kind enough to suggest other nearby dry cleaners that were on my way to work. Suggesting competition? Wow. This is either a good man or a confident business owner. My favorite cleaners. Always on time and on point with their cleaning and with the pressing of my clothes. I have gone to others cleaners and I trust them the most with my suits and favorite clothes. If you have a stain that doesn't come out, just bring it in to them and they will send it back out for a second/third attempt to get the stains out and get things right, even with things like soy sauce and/or coffee which normally are full on clothes killers. Last week I dropped off my mother's vintage wedding dress over 60 years old. Unfortunately, it had been stored in just a plastic bag. This is the dress I was hoping I could be married in in June. With spots, stains, oxidation and discoloration. I could only be hopeful. I met with the owner Nick for a consultation. He was professional, knowledge and meticulous as he outlined the challenges and treatment plan for my dress. At each stage Nick and/or his employees kept updated on the progress and proceeded with the upmost of care. On Saturday I picked up the dress. Nick presented the dress and I was immediately overwhelmed with emotion. The dress looked incredible and truly had been restored to it's former glory. On Sunday I had- my second fitting and first restyling appointment with my daughter, sister-in-law, friends and master seamstress and friend. All were in awe of the transformation. It was unbelievable! I know I wouldn't have made it to the alteration pedestal in my mothers wedding dress if it hadn't been for Rainbow Cleaners, Nick and his crew. I was new to the area and took in a few of my husband's dress shirts to be cleaned. The gentleman who helped me was very nice. However, both upon dropping off and picking up his dog kept licking my legs! I love dogs. But I don't want a dog roaming loose around where my clothes are being cleaned. The people were nice and the dog was cute. I took my dry cleaning here several times and they did a great job most of the time (...until the last time). Two of my practically new white collared shirts came back with dark, very visible stains on the collars (the stains weren't there when I dropped the shirts off). When I pointed out the new stains, they offered to try running through the cleaning process a couple more times. I took them up on the offer. I picked up the shirts and inspected again, still stained. They offered to try again, same story. The people who work here are nice, don't get me wrong. But after the third time through their cleaning process (and 10+ days after initial drop-off), the shirts still weren't clean. I didn't throw a fuss or anything, but they could see I wasn't happy. If it were my business, I would have either offered *something*. Lots of options: - not charge me for cleaning fees for the two shirts - more dry cleaning free of charge - replacement $ for the now unwearable shirts that I had to toss Going somewhere else now... grumble grumble. read more

The downside of going is you get felt up by the owners dog each time..I'm a girl and to have a dog with his nose up my behind and the owner not say anything to the dog is awkward and uncomfortable lol.. I do have to make a quick comment on the great experience and service that I receive from Nick / Rainbow Cleaners. I work at a job that requires me to wear suits pretty much every day so the frequency of dry cleaning is essential for me. Since moving to the area from the East Coast and most recently SF, Nick has been the most consistent and friendly Cleaner I have come across. The alterations and fixes he had done for me have been good quality as well. He remembered my name only after the 2nd visit and really feel his place is part of the community. read more

About 3 weeks ago I brought a dress in for dry cleaning, and I needed it ready the next day to wear to a family function. The next day I was running errands and completely forgot about my dress. Remembering that I needed my dress back that next day Nick, the owner of Rainbow Cleaners, called and left me a message 15 minutes before closing. Even though I didn't get his message until at least 15 minutes after closing, I spoke with him and he had no problem waiting there so I could pick my dress up. I had a wonderful experience with Rainbow Cleaners. My husband and I moved to the area 2 years ago and have tried different dry cleaners (Debonair, Door-to-Door, and a few privately owned shops), but were extremely impressed by the professionalism of Rainbow Cleaners (something that is noticeably lacking with the others). I recently purchased new drapes and needed to have them altered. I called around town looking for the best price. I needed them hemmed and, as they were thick curtains, they seemed to range in price considerably. Some shops had teenagers answering the phone who didn't have a clue and asked me to call back another time, others said they'd have to see the curtains first and consult their independent seamstress, etc., and it might take "a few days" to get a quote. When I called Rainbow Cleaners, Nick (the owner) answered the phone very politely. He asked all of the pertinent questions and took my phone number. He contacted the person responsible for alterations, and called me back within 5 minutes, with the best price in the neighborhood. I took my drapes to him and ended up chatting for a while, and of course, playing with Maverick, the best trained dog I've ever seen! Like Patricia M. suggests, bring a milk bone along, it's fun to see Maverick demonstrate his impressive tricks! As promised, 2 days later, my drapes were done! Nick called to let me know they were finished and I immediately went over to pick them up. Again, Nick was there, helping other customers, answering the phone himself with professionalism and intelligence. I took my drapes home and they were absolutely perfect! I was very impressed that, unlike other dry cleaners in the area, the entire transaction was handled as quoted, on time, and without any complications or mistakes. I will definitely be bringing our dry cleaning items here from now on. It's a clean, well-run shop, and they are accountable for the quality of their work.
