Hi everyone, I'd to share some though about this place. I had came by two days ago and had a take out to try some of the items I saw on Yelp and it looked good. Took home Hug Gao, Shu Mai, Beef chow fun and 1/2 Roasted duck. Loved it... Shu Mai was good, Hug Gao was great and Duck was tasty, I liked it different than Asian BBQ noodle on Jones which is the Best Roasted Duck for us here in vegas. Took my my back to dine in today, Order Shrimp egg roll, Steamed beef noodle, Hug GAO, Shu Mai, Pork spareribs/Taro, Fried salted stuffed buns and Tried their Peking Duck which was $50, about $10 more than the regular roasted duck would cost. Everything else was ok as expected except the Peking Duck... I was expected the Skin only cut off to serve but it came out sliced with meat attached, even I mentioned and shown the yelp picture to her of what style we wanted but still came out that way. Overall it was alright. Beef noodles, Hug Gao and Shu Mai is recommended for this place. Regular Roasted duck is ok too if you don't feel like driving to Asian BBQ noodle ( Tung Ky ) on Jones/Spring Mountain. For me this place has the Best Hug Gao! in town by far. We arrived at 10:50 and there was a line out the door being an avid dim sum aficionado and eating it every Sunday for the last 30+ years throughout the world has really elevated my taste. One thing I like besides the incredible service is the quality of the food. Love coming here for dim sum lunch. It's close to my house and big restaurant for a lot of people too. We waited only about 10 min for the 2 of us to get seated. We ordered tangerine beef rice rolls, eggplant stuffed with shrimp paste, and salt n pepper fish. We also ordered oolong tea as well. Tea is $1.88 a person. Everything came out hot and fresh. The eggplant portion was really big and perfect to share. They cut them in halves. The salt n pepper fish had lot of fried garlic, green onion, and jalapenos for flavor. I like how the batter wasn't too thick and oily as well. The tangerine beef rice rolls didn't have too much tangerine flavor as before but still delicious. They have a lot of items on their menu worth trying. They have duck, seafood, noodles, and some dessert dim sum to try as well. Been coming here for years and its been always a go to spot! We've dine in and take out. Restaurant is decent size and it can accommodate bug parties. They can get busy. Their menu is has so many of our faves! Service - most of the time is great. Busy restaurant for a great dim sum! Went Sunday and this place was packed! Been before for dim sum and definitely this one hits the spot! Pro tip, if you want their baked BBQ BUNS, get there early. By 12:30, there were none left to purchase. They are super delish, and was disappointed we didn't get them. For the yummies we did get, Yass, everything was super, hot and served fast! Would recommend this place, but there could be a wait for tables, esp if you have big a big groups. This is a checklist style of dimsum, no carts. This restaurant should get more spotlight on it's authentic and great quality dim sum! Forget about the "wannabe" so called dim sum places on the strip. Really people come here for the dim sum fixes. Also. I'm calling out those AYCE dim sum and Chinese place for feeding us frozen/leftover like dim sums. You have nothing compare to this restaurant! To be honest, I'm surprised about the good quality and how much they stick to the traditional flavors. All the items we ordered are pretty tasty. If it needs to be crunchy, it's crunchy. If it needs to have lava-like salty egg yolk inside the bun, it has exactly what you are expecting! The service is awesome too. They check on the pot often and refill it. They even charge plates once. Wow! I never experienced this level of service unless it's a very nice Chinese restaurant. This restaurant deserves better and more reviews. Authentic Chinese food in the new Chinatown (south Rainbow). I think I saw a John Curtis review of the dim sum so decided to try it. Three non-Asian guys walking in for lunch got the manager's attention. He was very nice and seemed a bit surprised that we were not novice dim sum guys (we had to ask for chopsticks) but when I tapped my knuckles to thank him for the tea... he gave me a knowing nod and then explained the history behind the gesture (I knew the tradition, but not how it came about). The restaurant is too tight for carts which means if you don't know what items are, you don't get to see them first. But it also means all the dim sum comes out hot and fresh, no lukewarm shu mai! They've got the fresh fish tanks, big round tables with lazy Susan's, primarily Chinese clientele, and delicious dim sum. We may not be experts, but we could tell we were not the only ones that thought the food was excellent. We'll definitely be back. Xie xie! read more

The first time the two of us went to rainbow kitchen, I was quite impressed. The food ingredients were fresh. First of all, the spareribs with taro are highly recommended. They tasted great and the taro was very soft. The shrimp was springy with the rice roll . The lava salted egg yolk buns were also quite good. After finishing one, I ordered another. The stir-fried Chinese cabbage with garlic was also very well made. Let me talk about some not-so-good ones The taste of the honeycomb tripe w/ satay sauce was not up to standard and was a bit bland. The porridge was actually okay. If the rice could be cooked a little softer. The crispy shrimp dumplings were a bit oily. Also, the freshly baked roast duck didn't have the crispy texture and was a bit lacking in flavor. The food in this restaurant has a relatively low salt content for me. If there were a little more salt, it might be even more delicious. The service was also very good. They often came over to check if there was any tea or water, and even offered to change the plates for us. But what was not so good was that when they saw you had nothing to eat, they would quickly come over to ask if you wanted to pay the bill. It feels like I'm about to leave after eating, and that made me uncomfortable . Their tips are calculated after tax, starting from 18%. I don't mind giving them 18% because the service is quite good. But I do mind giving them 18% after tax. Although it's a difference of a few dollars, this is a matter of principle. There's no reason for you to ask us consumers to pay the tax for your tips. Later, I gave them 18% before tax. But overall, compared with the Chinese food I've been to, it's still okay. So I give them four stars read more

Nestled in a strip mall on Rainbow Blvd, this casual Cantonese restaurant serves truly fresh, made-to-order dim sum with no carts, just impeccable quality. This is always a nice spot to have dim sum. There's a great variety and the dishes come out hot. They are good at checking in on you to remove empty dishes and refill the water and tea. There are a lot of tables and it does get crowded, but that's the sign of a good Chinese place. read more

They are always crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right every time. We usually call ahead and they are very accommodating which makes ordering very easy and convenient for our family. The portions are generous and the food always comes out hot and fresh. Another big plus is the pricing. It is very affordable compared to other Chinese restaurants especially for the quality and portion sizes you get. Not a bad option for Chinese takeout in Southwest Vegas. They do a solid Crispy Roasted Pork and good HK Style Pan-Fried Noodles! Their Sweet & Sour Chicken, however, is a miss. The chicken can be soggy on the outside and tough on the inside, and the sauce is too tart and runny, which contributes to the soggy issue. I prefer New York Chinese Restaurant's Sweet & Sour, for comparison's sake. Don't appreciate that they charge a buck or two more for each item than advertised. There are very few restaurants where I am a 'regular' because we don't eat out enough, but this is one of them. There was a time where I think our group of 6-8 came here almost every Sunday for a month, lol. Chinatown dim sum, who's that? For those of us who don't want to do the trek, this is a haven. And imo, Rainbow Kitchen is just as good as places in Chinatown, but without the wait or parking nightmares. Everytime we've gone at 11am when they open, we've never had to wait for a table. Their portions are pretty good for the price and the meticulousness of their dishes is really what stands out. They have some dishes that my Cantonese mother-in-law says other places just won't make or serve because it's too much work. Less salty and more fresh than other places. The people who work here are also just super friendly too and dare I say actually provide good service? I think they started recognizing us at some point because of my friend's baby, so they were always super welcoming to our group. Came here today, Sunday for lunch for parking, there's plenty of parking spot outside the plaza. As we walked in I was surprised how busy this place is people are waiting to be seated and we were seated right away. The service are pretty fast. Place seemed like patrons enjoy the menu. You order on a paper and flag the person to have our items order. Looks like lots of locals eat here. Dim sum items came out fairly quickly expect the rice noodles. We had to ask for it. Everything tastes amazing. I love dim sum and their dim sum is good. Restaurant is a bit dated but it serves its purpose. You can order fresh fish and lobster from the tank directly and get it cooked thereafter. Super fresh. Service is good and attentive.
