Thanksgiving buffet! Fluffy potatoes, farro salad, roasted veggies, corn muffin, and soup.

I've been here a couple times but my favorite was the thanksgiving dinner buffet. Really nice for those of us in the area that don't have family and friends to spend the day with. The food was awesome and worth the cost. The view was incredible. The guys working that day were really kind and of course there was plenty of seating. There is also a lot of parking and nice clean restrooms.

Unfortunately we drove all the way here, however we didn't eat. Made reservations for breakfast, but since there was no breakfast menu online, I tried calling to ask, but no answer. Upon arriving, we discovered its an All-You-Can-Eat breakfast buffet for $27 a person. Since no one greeted us at the counter, I just walked in to see what's offered. It's scrambled eggs, bacon, and croissants. They do not offer single menu items. Since no one still didn't greet us, we decided to leave and simply took pictures outside, enjoying the great views of Lake Powell. We ate back at Page, AZ. Like many reviews said, this place is unfortunately understaffed. I suggest they provide a breakfast menu to be viewable online. The only online menu is for dinner. TIP: It's $10 per vehicle to enter the area.

Enjoyed my dining experience here with my husband. We made reservations ahead of time which I highly recommend because I watched several people get turned away for not having reservations. We were greated and seated right on time. Our server Guy, was welcoming and helpful. The complementary corn muffins were delicious. I ordered the Farro and Roasted Squash Salad with grilled chicken and my husband ordered the Grilled Pork Porterhouse. We both very much enjoyed our meals. The menu was a little pricey but it was a nice dining experience with a lovely view of Lake Powell. Overall I would definitely come back!

We went for appetizers and cocktails. Our appetizers were pretty good, the view is very pretty, and our waitress was very friendly. Please be cautious and pay attention to your bill, another tables drink was on our bill.

We ate in the bar area right before it got super busy, so I did see some people after us with issues getting their orders on time before cruises. But my family and I had a great experience. View was great, food came out fast, bartender was nice. Only complaint is that they don't open up the full rainbow room until 5pm, which sucks if you want to pop in for some nice views and food before your cruise since the bar area is pretty small for the amount of people coming and going.

We drove into town for a weekend getaway trip and wanted to have one "nice" meal. After extensive research, I decided on Rainbow Room because of the lake views of the place. While it did look nice inside, we arrived quite late so it was too dark to enjoy the views of outside. Service was unnecessarily slow for late service. There weren't that many diners and we felt like we were perpetually waiting for something - to order, for our drinks, our food, and the check. Maybe I had too high of expectations but it ended up being our least memorable meal of the weekend. Nothing stood out and made me want to come back. Not worth the price and wait.

Doing a really nice job with a captive audience. This dining room serves a large hotel complex on Powell Lake. The food is well prepared and the service is terrific. There are ample menu choices, and the servings are large and well platted. The desserts are a point of emphasis. Save room.

The best seafood dish I've had in a long time! Great views and quick service! I had the Wahweap Cioppino and it was phenomenal. I may or may not have also added a side of mashed potatoes which seemed to be fire roasted. So gooood

The service was terrible, the wine pours were minimal, and the food was awful. I wasted over 60 dollars on this place tonight.

The view is the only reason you want to visit this place. The food is beyond mediocre and overpriced.

This place gets slammed with tour groups. Expect a long delay for breakfast and dinners as the tour groups get priority seating

First morning we had the huevos rancheros and ham and Gruyère omelette. Nice twist and great flavors on the huevos rancheros. The second breakfast I got the omelette again and my husband tried the sweet potato waffles. Wow! Very sweet but best treat waffles I've had. I also took some smoothies to go. The berry one was thick and not overly sweet. The green machine had just enough mango! If you are in the area for breakfast, skip the free hotel breakfast and visit this place!

The server forgot to bring us 1 meal (we were waiting for 30 minutes until we realized that it was not going to be prepared (server had required amount of portions on the notes, but not on the receipt for the kitchen). She also brought us the wrong drink, so we thought that it was the right one and later we got what we ordered. Were confused a little bit and after we were charged for both of them. We ordered 2 coffee mocha, we've got 1 instead. I had to ask here about one more and then I got latte :( Had to ask redo it to mocha. AND THE LAST but not the least - they didn't tell us about "BIG PARTY CHARGE" - it's 18% by the way. So many questions to management and no questions at all to the kitchen.

Walking into Birdhouse, a converted drive-through restaurant, at 6PM, we were greeted with a short…read moreline wrapping around the order counter. It moves pretty quickly since the menu, full of fried chicken and staple sides, isn't too complicated. Birdhouse is a counter service establishment so the food doesn't take very long at all to cook and assemble. In our case it took only about 10 minutes. Thigh + Leg, Original ($11) - Instead of the advertised thigh and leg, the meal came with 3 pieces of chicken - one leg and 2 thighs! It wasn't just us; I saw other customers also getting three pieces. Finally a restaurant that underpromises and overdelivers! The breading on the chicken is a really dark golden brown, initially making me assume it was overfried. Biting into the breading, a really strong crunch shatters on the teeth. It's a hard crunch vs. the crisp that a normal fried chicken skin exhibits. Perhaps they enhance the mixture with rice flour and evercrisp? It's really quite amazing especially with how thin the breading looks. Even with the dark color, the interior remains moist and juicy; in fact, upon my first bite, a stream of chicken juice shot up onto my glasses! The meat has clearly been brined as it's super flavorful, and there's plenty of salt and pepper mixed into the breading to add even more oomph. The fat is rendered nicely and everything is served piping hot. They really know what they are doing with their chicken! A meal comes with one side of which we went with the Seasoned Fries. These are crinkle cut fries sprinkled with seasoning salt. The fry level isn't the most even, with some pieces being a little more dried out, but most still having tender interiors. I'd probably go with a different side in the future. (5/5) Thigh + Leg, Honey Butter ($11) - I believe this is literally the same fried chicken but with honey butter melted over the top. It adds some richness and sweetness, but is otherwise the same excellent fried chicken. For the side with this meal, we went with the Broccoli Salad w/ Bacon. It's pieces of crunchy raw broccoli mixed with tiny pieces of bacon in a light creamy dressing with a bit of sweetness. (5/5) Birdhouse makes their sauces in house which they supply for most orders. The first is their special honey mustard which, as the name implies, is sweet and mustardy. The second is a buttermilk ranch, creamy and tangy. It's very fresh and seems to have fresh herbs mixed in. After several days eating bland (but very fresh!) food in the Navajo Nation, we finally had a meal with actual seasoning! We were impressed enough that we went back the next day to try the final chicken flavor. This time it was earlier at 5PM and for some reason the line was even longer! Yet it took less than 5 minutes for the food to arrive. Thigh + Leg, Spicy ($11) - The base chicken is the same texture and flavor as above. The only difference is a liberal dusting of cayenne pepper spice mixture on top. They don't use any hot oil, so it's only dry spice on the outside, applied right after frying so it all sticks on. The powder is spicy enough to heat up the mouth and lips, but isn't enough to get me sweating at all. I'd compare to something between mild and medium at a hot chicken shop. There's just a hint of sweetness in the mixture - I actually wished it was boosted up a bit more. Still great fried chicken though! (5/5) Birdhouse really serves some great fried chicken. Reasonably priced, delicious food, great portions, there's not much more I could ask for. It was so good that we ended up eating here both nights we stayed in Page! Three star reviews: I understand the 3 star reviews some folks have provided. Compared to big city locations it might be below some expectations. But, the food was very good compared to other restaurants in the area we went to. My review: I give it a five star because the food was tasty, the view was great and it was laid back. I'm pretty critical and straight forward in my reviews and I gave "sunset 89" - 5 stars. Was it the best place I've eaten and experienced -no. But for the area and our vacation - it was the best place we ate at. Normally: If this was a place in my hometown I'd probably give it a 3 star. Cost: The cost was a little high. But everything was a bit high in this vacation spot. We split the short rib bowl between two. If you are real hungry then it should easily fill you up but you should not share then.
