I wanted to go to a tailor that was near me. A previous store I called said it would take at least a week to get 1-2 pants hemmed. I called Rainbow Tailor & Cleaners and the friendly gentleman who answered said to hem 1-2 pants would take the same day or next. I was thrilled because I was sort of in a time crunch. I came in on a Monday and the kind woman quickly did the measurements and asked what day I needed them finished. She explained that they are suddenly very busy and appreciated a reasonable day to finish them, before whatever event they are for. That Friday, early afternoon, I was able to pick them up and they were perfect! Pricing was absolutely fair as well. So it wasn't next day, but in reality 3-3.5 days. I have taken a garment here twice. Friendly service. Very nice people. Quick service and I was happy with the job they did both times. The only negative thing I can say is that there is a heavy cigarette smoke odor in the building and, unfortunately, has stuck to my garment after coming home with it. I hung it up in my closet and could smell it each time I came into the room. Thankfully I have time to wash the garment before needing it again. My job would not tolerate it. read more

I came into Rainbow Tailors to get my new dress hemmed. I talked to a gentleman on the phone earlier that morning explaining to him that I needed my dress hemmed, and would they be able to have it ready by Saturday? (It was Wednesday morning.) He said yes, and to bring the dress in. I got in my car and drove over there and it was a woman at the counter who helped me. She said, "Yes they could do the hem on the dress, and yes they could have it done by Saturday." She also said it was going to be $65. Please also know that my dress was only $80. I needed the dress hemmed and I didn't have the time to run around looking for another tailor. The woman told me because I wanted it by Saturday it was an express order. It was a hem on a dress, and it was four days from the time I gave her the dress. I think she took advantage of the fact that I needed it in four days. Be forewarned. If you go there they are likely to take advantage of you if you need it with a shorter turnaround time. read more

I know it says tailor in the name of their store but I've never had anything altered here. Yes, fix a hem or a button but not full on, take in my suit, so I can't recommend them for this. SMOKING INSIDE THE CLEANERS....NOT GOOD! Well.....it's sad to write a review like this one but I want other customers to keep an eye or smell on what I am about to write! I have always come to this tailor/cleaners even after it was sold by the Korean Older couple. The new owners Russian's are nice, different personalities from Asian culture but the end result (cleaners) was still the same UNTIL now...I have noticed from my last two visits that the lady is not there anymore (at least in the mornings) the husband pleasant gentleman BUT he SMOKES inside the building. On my last visit I actually said " it smells like cigarettes smoke inside" the man replied "I have both doors open (front and back) plus I was smoking by the back door" I said yes but it still smells. He replied oh....maybe a little! We bring our clothes to be cleaned not to get stinky by the cigarette smell, when you are not a smoker....you can tell fast when your clothes smell like smoke. I am disappointed by this, I am sad to leave this place but it doesn't make sense to continue bringing my clothes here anymore. read more

They brought my baggy nursing scrubs in about two inches and also sewed on a few patches onto my uniform.... Now, everything's perfect! I've been here a few times and honestly, the woman who runs this shop is really mean and unfriendly. It's not a good place for just routine dry cleaning. She may be good at what she does, but she charges twice as much to do it than the other cleaners in the neighborhood, and asks for the money up front before you even get the garment and see the work. And once when I asked for a 36 hour turnaround, she absolutely would not budge on her timeline, so I went a block away to another cleaner who was happy to do the work in the time specified and only charged half the price, after I picked it up. read more

They are a great cleaners, and just wonderful people! They do great alterations, have had many formal dresses altered, as well as suit jackets and pants. They do original hem on jeans which is awesome! If anyone says anything bad, just give them another chance! I have been going here for 5 years, and never had one problem. They are worth it if they are a bit over the price of other cleaners. You pay good money for your clothes, pay a little extra for a great cleaners! They will work with you on everything! read more

Terrible customer service very rude. Owner of shop very demanding had to argue with him to allow me to walk around the plaza why he sewed a patch on my vest. Very bad stitching and damaged the border of my patch I had him put on. Over priced bad quality work. I only came here as it was the closest to my home and was short on time. Worst service ever. I will never return. The lady up front should read a book on simple customer service skills. No smile upon arrival much less no greeting at all. When I paid (made no verbal complaints) I said thank you and she didn't even look up to acknowledge me or say bye. Once she had my money, she was checked out. The simple stitch I needed on a pair of shorts looked like my 5 year old niece could have done better with her hands. Completely unprofessional from beginning to end. I was just desperate to get the job done in a few days. They barely have any jobs ready and hanging for people to pick up, must be because they have no compassion for their paying clients. I will continue to go to my own tailor on the other side of town even if I have to wait a week or so for alterations and pay double than have to ever support this terrible establishment. First off they were late on their work, she told me my jeans would be hemmed by Friday when I had brought them in on Tuesday but when I come in on Friday she tells me to wait 30 mins because they still don't have them done. But anyways, they Completely ruined a $200 pair of selvedge denim after I had been very specific on what I wanted done. Staff was unfriendly and disconnected, spoke broken English and told me "not to worry" when I was giving her very specific instructions on hemming my jeans. Worst experience ever. read more

I took a family member to this tailor while visiting for the holidays. Her favorite pair of pants had a rip in them and she needed them back to wear for the rest of the trip. Not only did they take care of her within hours, they pressed them too, and all for no charge! What a wonderful display of generosity. Customer service is the worst I've experienced by far!! As soon as I walked in the man and woman were both rude and it almost seemed as if it were an inconvenience for them to help me. I needed a work dress altered which ended up costing double what I paid for similar alterations at another store. I only went to this store because it was a little closer and I needed the dress done quickly. While getting sized the lady poked me with a pin twice!! The following day I called to check their store times and the man who answered mumbled and wasn't polite at all. If you don't believe they have bad service, call and ask what their store hours are. Phone etiquette should be just as pleasant as face to face greetings with customers. A simple please, thank you, you're welcome... goes a long way. I will never go back to this store and will tell everyone to stay away. read more

Only came here because it is located close to my house. When I dropped off my shirt to get altered the lady was extremely rude as well as other staff. Took them a week and a half to alter my shirt. I have been coming to this place since around 2008, so when they switched owners I decided to give them a chance. The first time, the woman was rude. Shortly after I attempted to drop off clothes and they were closed before their closing time. A few weeks ago I dropped off my clothes and and the male attending me was not pleasant. When I returned a few days later to pick up my clothes he said I couldn't without my ticket. I asked him to look through the rack since I clearly recall him having me write my name and number on it and there were not many tickets on the rack. He refused so I had to drive home and find the ticket. What if I didn't find it...do they keep my clothes because he refuses to look for the name on the ticket. By the way, my ticket was right where it should have been. I took a small break and then today I was met with they dont accept debit for anything under $10. My bill was $8. Needless to say, I am done with their poor customer service. The fact they are always smoking outside and then touch my clothes. They are lazy. Oh...and start accepting debit! read more

There is a new owners now, and they nice and friendly. I love what they did inside. Nice big fitting room, looks and feels more cleaner when you walk inside. The alteration they do, just amazing. The lady that works there does any kind alterations just name it and she'll do it. They even added express alterations, you can have it done within 24hr the pandering what you have. Good cleaners for routine cleaning. Usually takes about 2 days. $2.50 for shirts and $4.50 for pants. Took some long sleeve shirts in to become short sleeves and they did well with that, also took my jeans in for alterations and they were just okay. read more

I took a pair of courderoy jeans in for a simple 1/2' tear repair. The woman ran the sewing machine over the material about 50 times leavong a 2-3 inch mess of scarring over the material. ---- When I asked her WHAT she had done- She started screaming..at ME!!---- I asked her to stop screaming and being rude- and she just got worse-- Avoid the place!!! read more

This is a great place for dry cleaning and they also do alterations. I just had a few dresses and pants altered, they had done a great job. By the way, they keep the original stiching when they shorten the jeans. The prices are very competative, but the quality is, by far, way more superior than other places i have used in the past. I recommend everyone to try them out to see for yourself. read more
