I've been a customer here for over three years, but this last experience was unacceptable. The owner outsourced my tailoring to someone else without telling me. She admitted she "paid some other girl $60 to do this job." The work shows it. They ruined a new suit jacket I left with them for over two weeks. The first alteration left the shoulders too loose. After I complained, the second attempt made them too tight. Now the underarms are so tight the jacket is unwearable. They refused to fix their mistake, and I still had to pay. They broke rhinestones off my bikini while under their care. I came back & asked for a refund but insisted on replacing the rhinestones. The rhinestone are now chipped and the others have been replaced by a sloppy glue job. horrible job and overpriced services. read more

I wanted to make sure I post this review for ZR alterations because what they did for me was unbelievably quick! I ordered my wedding dress in the last week of July 2025 hoping to receive it in 2/3 weeks before my wedding in September at San Francisco. My dress did not arrive till a week before my wedding day. I was overwhelmed and stressed thinking there is no way I can find a seamstress to get my dressed altered in time before my flight. I called a few places and they could not do the job in a short timeframe but ZR alterations came through! I dropped off my dress on a Thursday and the nice lady was able to fix my dress over the weekend and have it completed by the following Monday. Been going here since pandemic. They do a pretty good job I would say, but the price is absolutely on a higher end. I was a regular and brought many of my clothes, pants and even coat to get alteration. They would charge $50 for getting my dress sleeves shorten. (It's a short sleeves) $30 to shorten a nightgown dress. I used to go here because of reasonable priced and good quality, until it's significant change. On the note of dry cleaning. They almost lost one of my sweater. They couldn't located for a while and told me it might be on another load. Dude, I brought in 3 sweaters at once and how can you separate them without ticket on every sweater? At the end I had to go home and called them a couple times in order to locate it. I was surprised how fast they were able to dry clean four dresses for me. I brought the dresses in on Monday afternoon & they had them ready by Thursday. They charge $12 a dress which I felt was fair. Although, I do wish they had a pricing guide online. I am impressed with how clean they were able to get them. I am pregnant and the dresses had some BO in the armpits and they were able to get it out. I have been here twice and they are very friendly and sweet people. I am unsure if it is a family owned business but they're always on the target for what I have needed. The second time I was here for my suit from Fashion Nova for alterations and it fits perfectly! Every time the price point isn't a up-charge and reasonable. They also enjoyed my little kids and had given them stuff animals so it kept them busy while I was getting fitted. I've gone to them a few times and they've done good work. Feels a little overpriced for what they do. As of today, will no longer be giving them my business. I brought a pair of jeans in to be altered in the waist and when I tried them on, the side slit on the left side moved to a front slit. I proceeded to show them and they told me it was a Jean issue. Even though I tried on and wore the jeans before I brought them to them and the slit was NOT like this. They were very rude and unhelpful and did not offer any help or way to fix the solution. I've been working and living near this place for awhile and never been in. You know that stack of clothes you have that don't fit "just right"? Well, your wait is over. Take them here! I found their prices and service time to be much faster than many other places in town. They are "no muss, no fuss." And they will often go the extra mile to correct additional imperfections that you might not have seen when you bring your items in. But don't expect them to fawn over you - you're in and you're out. They have a job to do. I had a bride's maid dress altered here, and not only did they take up the length, but fixed the hem on the bottom to be much stronger than it originally was. Since it was a long gown of thin material, this has gone a long in keeping the bottom of the dress together and not frayed. I got my dress back in a few days, which is MUCH faster than some other shops in town I've been to. read more

I have been customer for a couple of years. I own several expensive jeans from same designer that rip in the same place. I bring them to Lisa to make repair each time. This last time I brought them in, the price she quoted me doubled. When I brought this to Lisa's attention she became short tempered with me stopped writing the ticket, walked away and told me to go some where cheaper. I see her business has grown exponentially. In the lean times I gave her my business and never questioned the price. They were so friendly and honest I will always bring my business here even though I'm moving to the other side of town. I brought my wedding dress and veil to be cleaned and boxed - they did a phenomenal job and made my dress look brand new. They were honest to say it was pretty clean but I know I danced and sweat like crazy at my wedding and I have a long train that naturally picked up a lot of dirt from parking lot, church to dance floor - I was in the dress all day long! Before they boxed it, they had me come in to inspect the dress and veil and then the dress was ready in a few more days. I was happily surprised at how beautifully it was boxed. I was assuming that they were going to charge us for this, but the lady that was working was nice enough to do it for free. She was like "It's ok, the next time you need something tailored or dry cleaned, just come back here." We did end up returning to get the suit altered and to finally get my 3 pants that were sitting in the closet to be hemmed. This place sure is busy! As we were getting fitted, a lot of other customers were stopping in as well. But, the employees did a good job with acknowledging everyone even though they were still helping us. The turnaround time was one week, which was understandable since we had 4 items to be altered plus dry cleaning. Everything was ready as promised and we paid about $85. I absolutely love this place! I've brought Lisa such random things to work on and every single time I get my item back I'm baffled and impressed at how precise and perfect my pieces are. I brought her 2 jean jackets with 2 T-shirts with instructions to cut out the logos/graphics on the t-shirts and sew them onto the jean jackets on certain spots; she did a perfect job. I bought 2 vintage Chanel logo long sleeved golf shirts from the 60's that were a size large, baggy sleeves, baggy and saggy waist. I thought she'd never be able to get these to fit my small frame but voila-- she performed a perfect surgery on them and they look as if they were originally made to be small and fit absolutely perfect. From busted seams, to alterations and weird broken metal buttons (not regular buttons-- the depression buttons that clip together), Lisa has fixed it all, and has kept my boyfriend and I looking tailored and clean. read more
