My first time nice atmosphere. I called ahead to make reservations for 9 I was told you can just walk in no reservations required for lunch. The staff was nice seated right away. Nice variety of food on the menu. The food and drinks was prepared quick everything was good. Great service.

This is my third time here and I must say the second time was terrible but this time baby third time is a charm I guess the food was DELICIOUS ! We popped in for lunch on Good Friday without a reservation and was seated , from the looks I would definitely make a reservation because it was starting to fill up fast .. I don't know if they changed the chef or the time of day but it was way better this time around the food came out hot and everything was good . The ambiance was beautiful as always it was loud but we were still able to have a conversation . Our server was great as well I forgot her name unfortunately from this visit I was definitely recommend . If you're hungry stop by for some good eats . Happy eating

Wow! I was in AC for half marathon weekend. I have a rule during vacations to avoid chain restaurants bc I like to support locally owned. Due to time constraints I had to break that rule and head to Rainforest Cafe. Glad I did! Between race weekend and the Stevie Nicks concert, they were SLAMMED. Yet everything was 5 stars! Despite those working the hostess stand being overwhelmed and surrounded by waiting guests, we were greeted very warmly and treated with kindness and humor. Our server was fantastic...efficient and kind. He was very respectful of the hurry everyone was in and stayed calm despite working more tables than I could even count! Having been a server for almost a decade ... I can only say this is impressive! Food was a little slower than typical but not bad and to be expected considering how busy they were PLUS pumping out to go orders like nobody's business! My friend ordered the steak dinner and I'll be honest that the steak was overcooked and the steak itself just average esp since she described how she wanted it down (pink all the way through). Let's be real though...it's not a steak house. Rest of her meal was good. I ordered lasagna and mashed potatoes (maybe weird if you don't run half marathons lol). Both were large portions and the lasagna was some of the best I have EVER had. I had enough of both for leftovers which almost never happens, bc I EAT. As far as ambiance...it's the Rainforest Cafe. Obviously cool. :) Finally....want to call out that I noticed the manager helping at the hostess stand and answering the phone (maybe taking to go orders?). It's always awesome to see a manager helping FOH when they're slammed..as they should. :) Thanks for making pre race dinner experience great!

I have heard about the Rainforest Cafe before but never actually visited one until recently. The restaurant was very spacious and as you can imagine rainforest themed with animatronic animals and other rainforest decor. The menu had quite a few options that was reasonably priced and the meal portions were adequate. The staff we interacted with were pleasant and prompt. I would recommend this restaurant to others visiting the boardwalk.

Taste of the Island - Seafood plate

When my boyfriend found out I have never been to a Rainforest Cafe, he drove us all the way to Atlantic City from NYC for a day trip, and took me to the restaurant for my first time. Apparently it is an iconic experience, and I think it was pretty close to it. As soon as you enter, you are greeted with a ton of greenery that makes you feel like you just stepped into a jungle. There was a huge moving elephant, monkeys, parrots, snakes, and a fountain around a statue of Atlas. And a rainbow! Every couple of minutes for couple of minutes, the whole place would come alive with sounds of animals like in a jungle. It was pretty dark inside, but I guess too much light would ruin the experience. I don't know. We each ordered a drink and a Seafood plate called Taste of the Island which comes with "Caribbean Coconut Shrimp, mango habanero glazed shrimp, jerk seasoned tilapia topped with pineapple salsa, island rice, seasonal vegetables." I was excited we got to keep the glasses as souvenirs. Food was average, but no complaints. Service was pretty good as well. Nothing really stood out to me, besides the decorations. On your way out - you could visit the gift shop. I love that they sell pins, so I could pick one up for my collection. I enjoyed myself, so I can imagine it must be a pretty fun experience for kids!

The rainforest cafe is an iconic experience that you at least need to try once. You walk into what looks like a jungle with animatronics, sounds, smoke and water. The kids will definitely love this, but as an adult all you can think is... how do they dust all of these things? The temperature inside was hot and uncomfortable which may have just been from the outside that day. You walk in and can sit at the bar that looks like animal legs which is fun and silly. It is quite dark inside and if you have anxiety it is a lot for sure. They sell their promotional cups with frogs and parrots on them. And do have a gift shop up front. Our waitress was attentive and polite. They had many iconic drinks and ICEEs for the kids. The menu did not have a lot but was okay. I ordered the Bimini chicken sandwich. It was really good with the hot honey sauce on the side. The coconut curry slaw was so different and enjoyable. The beast burger on the other hand was overcooked and dry. There was not much flavor to it. The experience itself was nice especially if you have kids, as adults probably will not go back. But definitely worth it for family fun.

Always loved coming here for lunch ! Highly recommend the trip to the rainforest when in AC ! Food and service always good and worth the price.

    Blue Mountain Chicken Sandwich

Service wasn't excellent as our waiter didn't check on us often. The food, however, was terrific! I had the Blue Mountain chicken sandwich, and my friend had the original burger. Both were cooked very well and were super flavorful. The restaurant, like any rainforest cafe, has a lot going on. I believe thunderstorms happen every 15-30 minutes, but they only last about 2 minutes. I would say if you're looking for an interesting eating experience then this is the place.

I came here recently with a friend as we both hadn't been since we were kids and wanted to check it out. We arrived around 3pm during the "off-season" for AC, so we didn't have to wait for a seat. We were worried we might be the only ones in the restaurant but it was decently busy. I ordered an alcoholic drink (some sort of raspberry vodka drink) and it was delicious but weak, which isn't surprising for a chain restaurant. My friend got the turkey wrap and I went for the shrimp tacos. Neither meal was anything special and my tacos were a bit on the bland side, but quality wise they tasted perfectly fine so I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed my meal overall. I couldn't resist getting their special "30th Birthday Cake" dessert they had, as I also turned 30 this year. It does mention it's a portion for 4 people, which I found a bit weird but I guess most people coming here are typically coming with bigger groups. The dessert was just alright, I wouldn't personally order it again. They also didn't use sparklers as advertised on any of their deserts - maybe they were just out or had bad experiences in the past, not sure. The ambiance is obviously more exciting if you're a kid, but we still had fun. Although we probably spent an hour or so in there and were definitely ready to go by the end. The music is quite loud, accompanied by various animal noises and the thunderstorm every 15 minutes, so it's all a bit much after a while. Don't look too close at the ceiling either because I definitely feel like this place hasn't been touched up since it opened, everything looks a bit dull. Overall, we enjoyed the experience but it's definitely novelty and not a place I'd return to frequently. I'd like to bring my future nephew here when he's old enough, though!

Can you say do not pass the salt...omg salty! The boo and I needed a lunch spot he had never been to a Rainforest cafe so off we went .. I am so not a fast food or chain food lover but I was happy to see they had a fish and chips option on the menu ..they over salted the batter the fries were way salty too the wrap which was a turkey Cesar wrap wasn't salty . Típ being if and when you go order a salad . The absolute saving grace was the staff we apparently got there when it opened so we waited a bit but as soon as they saw us kind attentive had recommendations and at the store showed me sale items and we pleasantly chatted. Am I coming back l yes ... my granddaughters would love it ...but I'll stick to a salad

What can you say about a place like this? Is it great for kids/families with little ones, yes. Are the menus slightly sticky and everything is overpriced for Mediocre food, also yes. Although I will say I got the blackened fish tacos and they were pretty good. The adult drinks were tasty as well. And shout out to the hostess who accommodated our large group with no reservations.

    Chea L.

Wow! This place brought back memories. I use to take my boys here often when it was at the mall in CT. Unfortunately it closed down, so my son and I HAD to visit when visiting AC. I enjoyed the lightening storms that happened every few mins. It was exactly how I remember it. The staff yelling volcannnno when bringing out the special dessert! The food was so good toooo! It was like being in a real life jungle!!!

Does anyone know about vegan friendly options available here?

I didn't see any as I recall on their very limited menu. I would look up the menu not many choices at all.

Do they have their own parking?

Some of the classic specialties. I then received a birthday song with a candle in my Mango Sorbet with added blueberries. I stopped in for dinner around 6:15 PM and, as always, the atmosphere was welcoming. There's indoor seating, a full bar, and a fantastic outdoor space complete with games, a fire pit, and one of the best music playlists in town--often accompanied by live entertainment. It's the kind of place where locals and visitors naturally mix together, creating a fun and friendly energy. One thing that always makes me smile is the sign when you walk in explaining that the bartenders and servers may be outside and asking guests to let them know they've arrived. Honestly, who could blame them? With the fresh salt air coming off the Atlantic Ocean and the outdoor atmosphere they've created, it's exactly where I'd want to be too. Tonight I ordered the crab cake platter, served with garlic French fries and coleslaw. The crab cakes were very good, packed with flavor, and the fries were crispy, garlicky, and absolutely delicious. A simple meal done right. Everything was fresh and appealing, I eat small portions so I took one crab cake and some fries home with me. I did ask about dessert, nothing was available, I don't do sweets frequently, I'm surprised they don't request Momma Chocolate, at Bar32 to make some extras for days they are closed. My server, Bella, was upbeat, bubbly, and attentive throughout the evening, adding to an already enjoyable experience. Parking is easy, with both free and paid options nearby, plus curbside access. Whether you're a local looking for a regular hangout or a visitor exploring beyond the casinos, Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall is well worth the short walk from the Boardwalk. The variety is great and everything we tried tasted fresh and well made. Nothing felt like it had been sitting too long and the staff was constantly maintaining the stations. The service really stood out. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and very attentive without being overbearing. The staff working the buffet line were also all really nice and genuinely seemed happy to be there which makes such a difference. Food wise there were a lot of standouts. The chargrilled steak had a really nice flavor and the prime rib was super tender and juicy. The pastas were cooked perfectly and the sauces were light, bright, and flavorful instead of heavy. The mac and cheese is an absolute must. They use big shell noodles with a creamy cheese sauce and toasted breadcrumbs on top which gives it great texture. The collard greens were surprisingly one of our favorite things and we went back for seconds. So much flavor. The spiced shrimp is a hidden gem and definitely something we grabbed multiple times. The pizza was also surprisingly good. We tried the mushroom and spinach and it honestly tasted like something you would get from a really solid pizza spot not a buffet. The only thing I would say is the chicken parm is hit or miss depending on how fresh it is. If it has been sitting it can get a little soggy so I would try to grab it when a fresh tray comes out. Pro tip leave room for dessert. The dessert section is incredible. The gelato was rich and creamy especially the chocolate. The croissant cinnamon roll hybrid was flaky on the outside with a soft gooey center and the cookies and cream cheesecake was rich without being too heavy. I also really liked how the seating is set up. You can sit on either side of the buffet and choose between booths or tables which makes it feel a little less chaotic.
